Current mood: working
Even today, the barter system serves as a way to accomplish things outside of of our failing and decrepit economy.
Being a “bedroom studio musician” for my entire artistic life I’ve become accustomed to recording on the cheap using whatever kitchen utensils were at hand to construct rudimentary microphones and cellos. I have of late however been given the opportunity to trade web design services for studio time. This will allow me to experience my first heady taste of pro-style song recording later this month.
Undoubtedly there will be huge piles of drugs and women. Or am I thinking of the 70s?

Current mood: restless
I am trying to punch up some lyrics, with little positive result. Perhaps what’s stymieing me is the giant, hyper-red beverage sitting nearby, mocking me with its wide sports mouth. I guess if I’m serious about this I should pack some sound sketches onto a device and go for a walk to see what shakes loose.
The beverage stays home.

Current mood: frustrated
I’m infected with inertia. Where is that essential element of vitality that would normally propel me forward into new endeavors? The afternoon already spent, I ventured out into the snow with my scarf and cheap boots, a ten dollar drugstore errand serving as my day’s accomplishment. This is how I fall short, day by day, year by year.
