en allant au vernissage de l'expo soulages, me suis retrouvé dans l'ascenseur avec Mr Soulages Himself et sa femme (67 ans de mariage)... salutations, et entrée oar la sortie, direct dans le vif du sujet... superbe rétrospective, des premières oeuvres jusqu'à la dernière salle, éclatée, ouverte sur les polyptiques accrochés dos à dos sans cimaises... et pour une fois les textes sont aussi de Soulages, et raisonnent parfaitement avec l'oeuvre. Soulages explore les noirs, et surtout la lumière qui se reflètent dans les matières de la toile. Il nomme Outrenoir, comme on dit outremanche, ce que l'on voit au-delà de sa peinture.    qu'y a-t-il derrière le noir? il faut aller le découvrir;

i contributed a soundtrack to the new exhibition in
Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent Fondation ... if you're in paris, vernissage sept 30th.

also produced two tracks for Josh Goshfield's Gigi project to be happening in
Steven Kasher Gallery in NYC.
he created a Femme Fatale, a french 60's one-hit-wonder and sex-symbol, coming back as a torch singer and a cult figure.
Anna Karina's lookalike with pretty much Claudine Longet 's dramatic lifestory,  shot in the style of Godard's "une Femme Mariée".
the show will display press articles, pictures and videos... opening oct 22

do you know how Sellaband works? basically you (as a supportee) pre-pay for a record, before it's even recorded... pretty clever and helpfull, especially for unsigned artists...
there's a few things bothering me though...

1) $50000 must be credited on the artist's account in order to get started on the production... a self-produced would do A LOT with this amount...
2) the Sellaband would take care of everything, production, mastering, pressing... what about composers/producers who don't need a producer? what if the artist doesn't like their sound and production options?

Sellaband is a super clever idea... especially for the guys behind who will win at every steps (just imagine the money collected for all the artists who haven't reach the 50k$? )

Still, there might be ways to work around this...

what if i was offering u to contribute to the production of the next album?
let's say you would take a membership in "Friends of bRiFo" ;) or whatever name, get a free gift (maybe exclusive CD, or the previous album...) and receive the new album before the official release...
what do you think?
how much would you think it d ok to pay for that? $10, $20?

please give me your feedback, please...

should consider myself lucky... lucky working on a new album (quite happy with the new tracks)... lucky meeting so many great people here on MySpace and in the OutSide World;))... lucky with compilations and airplay...
was lucky enough yesterday to visit Annette Messager's exhibition at Centre Pompidou, all by myself, and before the official opening... ;)

LOve to U All and thanks for the support, comments and little words ... this space is yours

question: how many SpaceFriends have U met for real?

"Don't i know u from MySpace?" seems like the most basic approach in Paris' bars and clubs today!;))
