I was able to listen to a lot of new music during my vacation but i have to admit that this release from Vancouver, BC Canadian native band Maclean was always the album i was going back to. Talker is Macleans 2nd following their 2007 Hang This On Your Wall that was very well received. On this latest effort our Canadians boys went all the way! From Interpol guitar sounds to Coldplay style ballads, this album is a true proof of their evolution as a band. Solid lyrics accompagnied by great music. This album is definetly the Top Canadian Indie release of the year, and most probably the best of 2009. Ok everyone, the new album is almost here.
Maclean's sophomore album is entitled "Talker". We will be releasing it at our CD Release show on February 21st at the Chief Sepass Theatre in Langley. You can buy tickets at the door or pre-sale from one of the members of the band. There is limited seating so try and get your tickets quick!

One of the songs of the album, "Failure of the Positively Good Man" is up on our page. Let us know what you think!

Hello one and all! We have been lacking on the updates lately but that's because we've been working very hard on our new album. The good news is that it's almost done. The recording is done and now we are moving on to mixing. We will be announcing the date and location for our CD release show asap... expect it sometime in february. We will also be revealing the album title very soon. So keep checking back and spread the word to all of your friends. It's been a long couple years with band members moving across the country for jobs and school and we are so excited to finally be back together and releasing our new material. PSHH Yeah! -Maclean
