I will be showing artwork along with other musicians in a yearly exhibit I co-curate.

MSR is an art exhibition, now in its fourth year, featuring pieces from local North Carolina musicians. The artists will present their creative visions through sculpture, photography, drawings, serigraphy, woodwork and painting.

Well well well......so much to share and many thank yous!  Thanks to everyone who has sent wonderful emails and have come up to us at the shows to let us know how much they are enjoying the new record!  We are really excited about the amount of folks whom have been coming out to our shows!  THANK YOU!!!    To show you our appreciation we have new recordings just for you!  FREE!!!


NorthE and our good Atlanta GA pals Pistolero have turned our late night pipe dream into a reality....we are releasing a split 7" record!  We covered the Pistolero song "Endless Summer" and they covered our song "Lovesday Dead Down"......both of the songs are very different from the originals....  You can pick up your FREE copy at any of the shows listed below until they are gone - we've pressed up a limited edition amount of 200 which are being screen printed by yours truly (John).....the design was the brainchild of Regina McCoy whom often designs our buttons and t-shirts - THANKS REGINA!!!  - Also in honor of the release you may download both songs on our myspace page or here!

Howdy - April is a big month for us in the NorthE camp!  First off, lots of shows to tell you about!

Wed April 1st - WKNC- 1p Interview with John about NorthE and the new record

Thurs April 2nd - Raleigh, NC - Tir Na Nog - WKNC 88.1fm Music Night! - we will be playing with I Was Totally Destroying It!  Many thanks to WKNC who continue to spin NorthE songs all year long.....

Thurs April 9th - Brooklyn, NY - Union Pool - Birthday Celebration for John and Matt!!  We will also be celebrating the release of The Library's first record "The Life and Times of Rosa Lee".  Electric Owls (Andy Herod of The Comas) will be on the bill as well

Fri April 10th - NYC - Piano's - Playing with our good friends Fan-Tan for thier 7" release party. Dynasty Electric is also on the bill.

Tue April 14th - Chapel Hill, NC - Fuse - John Harrison solo w/ Reid Johnson (Schooner), Ryan Richardson (Kingsbury Manx), Stevie Murtaugh (Transportation), Wamuiss and others

Fri April 17th - Durham, NC - Pinhook - We cannot express how excited we are for this show - THE SAMES REUNION SHOW!!!  - one of our favorite bands rise from the ashes for one night only!  Fan-Tan will be making their return to Durham as well!  Our very first show at Pinhook!

Mr. Matt Hedt has once again worked his magic and we'd like to present to you a video for a live version of Golden Tigers (a song off the new record).  Matt, Jessye and I rode around Durham, NC one day and filmed me playing pieces of the song - it was a fun day and we met a bunch of wonderful people who are in the film - all the audio is live.....

Thanks to everyone who came out to support us last Friday night - wehad the absolute best time celebrating the release of our new recordwith you!  New Articles about the record and the show are HERE

We are adding shows weekly so check here often - and email us if you'd like us to come to your city.

The new record is officially out on Feb 24th - we are looking to havepre orders (with a limited edition surprise) ready for you around theend of January.

Next week John Harrison will be heading out with EKR label mates The Good Graces for a 3 day North Carolina set of shows.  John will be playing NorthE songs on banjo and acoustic guitar.  Hope to see you out!
