‘But he’s on the mend’ are the reports you’ll be glad to hear coming in from the sunny south east about our recently injured drummer, Sean, who apparently pulled a door down on himself last week! Ouch! That boy just doesn’t know his own strength! Never fear, O’Lear (y) will be back with us in time for a live session on the Pat Kenny Show next week . Tune in to RTE 1 from 10am GMT on Wed 11th November. If you’re feeling chatty you can email into the show at todaypk@rte.ie

So, a big thank you goes out to all of you that came to the album launch at Bewley’s. It was a lovely night and it was great to see so many familiar faces and a few new ones too! A big hello to the Norwegian couple that came to see us, at first I thought you had flown in from Galway which I thought was pretty cool but when my ears finally started to work again and I heard you had flown in from Norway, I thought you were mad things but very pleased you made it so big hugs to you both and hopefully the next time we see you it'll be in Norway and not Galway as previously thought (note to self, must buy a pair of ear plugs). For those of you that missed it, you have a chance to redeem yourselves when we do it all over again in Wexford at The Vine on 27th November (e-mail info@odimusic.co.uk for reservations). It’ll be a full band hooley (i.e. so long as Sean stays away from large garage doors). For those of you who are unaware of this whole band phenomenon, let me introduce to you some of Wexford’s finest, (and not bad musicians either) Sean O’Leary on drums and Lee Byrne on bass! We were hoping to display this fine spectacle in all it’s glory on Friday at Sarsfields in Drogheda but I’m afraid you’ll just have to wait until The Vine.

Now then, if you havn’t got yourself a copy yet (hint hint) of the album and you’re in Dublin this Saturday, we will be doing acoustic renditions of a selection of songs from ‘Maslow’s Songbook’ at Tower Records in Wicklow St. and if you’d like one signing, we’ll be there, silver pens at the ready! It all kicks off at 12pm, sharpish along with a list of other bands.

Recently, a few articles of the press variety have been coming in to the office so we’ll be putting them up for you to have a perusal through. I’m also going to put up a few lyrics and chords to a couple of songs some of you have been asking me about. My musical guitar theory isn’t the ‘maewest’ so if something doesn’t sound right it’s probably not, but play it anyway, that’s how I ended up writing ‘Crawl’! Secret’s out! Also up on the myspace player is a snippet of another track off the album called ‘Real To Me’. If it sounds familiar then it is, only not as acoustic as it once was (which is still available by the way from here).

Lastly, I’ll leave you with a video of a Bruce Springsteen cover from a recent gig we did at The Purple Sessions in Drogheda.

See you crazy kids out there!

The Sunny South East

We are just back from a lovely weekend spent in the sunny South East of Ireland!

Sunday saw us play 2 shows! The afternoon was spent at the Bull Ring in Wexford Town. Not a bull in sight but plenty of cool things going on at the Wexford Arts Day. A melee of music, puppet shows, good food and great craic. It was a pleasure to play for all those who came out to support the day... long may it continue!

After catching up with a few familiar faces we headed across the water on the Ballyhack Ferry bound for county Waterford and the seaside town of Tramore to play support for the very talented Mick Flannery!

A fantastic night was had by all and the Tramore punters were so warm and welcoming to us. Thanks to all those who took time to come and say hello and buy CDs! We managed to give "You Can't Have it All" it's first live outing since recording it for the album, went suprisingly well! always good to give a song it's maiden voyage and get a good response!

Lady Ga Ga Scandal!

We also bumped into two young ladies aged 9 and 6 having the time of their lives holidaying in Tramore and staying up well past their bedtimes and for that matter ours!

After getting on to the topic of their favourite bands we asked if they liked a certain Lady Ga Ga. We were shocked to be met by the response that "Lady Ga Ga is a boy".... "it said so on the news!" Well I never!

Band On The Run

Reeling form the Lady Ga Ga revelations we headed back to Wexford to start band rehersals!! Yep the Band is on the run... and early sounds and signs are great!! News on full band shows will follow soon!

So must get back to grindstone! Album artwork nearly there and we will be going to Press very soon!

We also have a new gig just confirmed for this Friday at the INEC acoustic cub in Killarney supporting Luka Bloom!

Keep requesting "Red Light" on RTE Radio 1 as it's enjoying another week on the playlist.

And pre -order your copy of "Maslow's Songbook" from the myspace page now!!

Over and out for the mo!
