If you post a comment on our page that automatically plays your music, I will deny the comment.  It's one thing to put up a flyer or link, but the only music automatically playing on our profile should be ours.. please save that for your own profile.  I recently had to delete a couple comments because when I loaded our page, some other bands' music played over ours.  Please be sure when you are posting comments that you are not doing this.

The Eyesores were at I'm Stein studios in Santa Clara recording the Psycho Goth Kings album!  We've posted two short sampler medleys on our page, so check it out.  The band at the time was me, Dog, on the drums, Metalhed on bass and vocals, and Stab on the guitar.
This album was important in that we did some different sounding shit on it that maybe set us apart from other punk bands.  Of course you could look at it being a bunch of dumb punk musicians trying to play metal, which has happened since the beginning of punk rock.  But who gives a shit anyway, it was fun, we did the whole thing in one night, from about 11pm Dec 7 to about 6am Dec 8, 1999.   Stab and Metal overdubbed a couple guitar and vocal bits later in May 2000, but most of it was already done.  Oh yeah, it was done on the now semi-obsolete ADATS, which were basically VHS tapes you could record 8 tracks of digital audio on.
So go to our profile and enjoy or not.

Medley no. 1 is:

Blair Witch - the "tuesday dec. 7" reference refers to a pre-recording session jam that we were supposed to have in Monterey, except we got lost.

Corn And Peas  - we currently still play this one.. once in a while!

Dog Barking

Medley no. 2 is:

Mystery Song  - made up jam w. metal being a goof ball
I'm More Goth than You Are
I'm Going Down To Your Stupid Hell (complete w/sloppiness, the first time we actually played the song all the way through was in the studio)

Medley no. 3 is:

Comp 2k - new lyrics for "computerized bullshit" reflecting the Y2k bullshit.  When Metal went in to redo the vocals in May 2000 and the world hadn't ended, some lyrics needed to be adjusted.

Behind Every Smile  -  heavy one, don't think we've ever played this one live, maybe once back in 2000 or so.

this sleeve was made right around the time CDrs got popular; you'd fold it so the main design was facing out, and whoever opened it got the liner notes.

and that's all you get, clowns.  It was a blast to record the thing, and it's a good thing that we kept the masters (even if nobody has an ADAT machine anymore!!).

well, first of all on Tues. night, we had a big ol' party/jam at Dave Laroxx's pad with Dave, Metal, Dog, and new member Beau on bass.. the beer soon took over and it became a drunk jamfest.  We listened to records after that of course, courtesy of Dave's roommate Sean who has a killer lp collection.

Next day, we arrived at KFJC studios.. Meister Brown had been called into work last minute so Dog subbed on drums (being a professional Sub he was used to stepping into others shoes!  He also plays drums in a couple of other bands as well).. we certainly missed Meister Browns' drumming but knowing the parts Dog dug his heels into the bass drum pedal and the Eyesores came through OK, complete with a recording mixed live to the air by Morris Minor.. Dominic Trix did a short interview with us in which we mentioned our future plans, our long delayed finished 7" (anyone have about $800 to kick in?), and a certain individual who had played with us a couple years back, but who had caused problems even he couldn't have fixed.  So overall it was a success.. next time hopefully we'll be at full strength with our regular drummer!

and anywhere else in the relatively free world you can check it out here:

http:..//www.kfjc.org/

Yes, the Eyesores are coming back, 3rd time, to KFJC to test out new material and poop out old turds live on the air, along with a nice friendly interview.
You don't even have to come to this show, lift a finger, or do anything, just turn your radio on and set it to 89.7 on your FM dial. If you're in the UK you only have to type in www.kfjc.org ..or even go here:http:../../..www...kfjc...org/..netcast/..index.php

Seriously.. you really don't even have to show up to a show or even leave your house to check out this show.  Considering how lazy some of you fuckers are when it comes to attending our shows..

check out this blurb.from their calander!!! Just for that we may actually pull out a death metal tune.

yes.. we did actually play a Hot Topic store!  it's true, we played Acoustically and the folks were great.  Who'da thought (that we'd be invited to play there).  Streetlight was our second time there, and it was really good- recording on the other hand had some glitches that I honestly don't know how the hell happened.. except that maybe to get a 1/2 decent recording maybe you have to pay out the ass, and even that doesn't "guarantee" a fucking thing.  But all the people were great, and we look forward to doing it again!

First things fucking last:

The "Guaranteed Dead to the Scene" medley live from Streetlight on Sept 19, 2009 consists of two songs Dog sings lead on.  They are put up here as a curiosity because something with the vocal pa triggered an adverse reaction on the recorder.  You can hear that for yourself.  If you are used to things being recorded on Pro Tools, looped, fixed, overdubbed, etc. you won't like it.  Tough Cookie.

Guarantee is actually a cover/rewrite of my old band Lost Cause's song "Guarantee"- Metalhed heard it and wanted to start playing it but couldn't make the words out on the recording, so we wrote some new ones.  Tim, the singer from Lost Cause wrote it back in 1992.  Dead to the Scene was one of ours, a collaboration from early 1994 with Ruk, me, and Metal coming up with the music, and Metal and I doing the words.  Since I 1. forgot many of the words, and 2. didn't feel like swearing excessively, you'll hear some pretty fucking dumb lyric substitutions on this thing.  Like I said, put up as a curiosity.

The Flying saloon medley starts with a favorite sound bite of mine, "Quss Emmek".
Next is the Flying Saloon.  Following that is Hullo Vinny (aka Erik).  Both of those recorded in Southern California at Backline Studios studio H at various times.  Next is Rotten Robbie recorded at the old practice space in San Jose with me utilizing an effects knob.  Finally Not Immortal from back in 02.

just reminding you that Pay to play... aka ticket sales is a chump's game, and the only loser is the one who plays.
Don't forget it.. live it, know it.. learn it..
if you are a promoter who requires ticket sales.. you know what you need to do?  Guarantee the band at least a couple drinks for their trouble, and whatever comes in off either the entry charges, or you give them some of the bar.  Promote the show at least as much as the bands are promoting, and realize that some days are deader than others.
So .. thhhhpppptttttttzzzzzffffffzzzt (audible fart sound) to pay to play tactics!!!

Apparently they are being forced to stop having punk rock shows there due to the owner of the pier having a problem with it.. maybe the noise. So it looks like our show there on Oct 24 with Kill Kitty Kill, Olympians and Bondage Fairies is shit canned. If anyone has any ideas, let me know.. this has happened with almost the same bill before and it's really fucking frustrating, so if you can think of a venue that can accomodate these kick ass bands, or a house party, or maybe an opening slot for Green Day...email us..

It is too bad, as Kegs was a pretty fun venue to play (I'd been there with other bands), complete with a unique beer recipe, and Arrogant Bastard on tap. Cool people there too.
Ideally whatever the issue is it can be resolved and the shows re-scheduled, but unfortunately that does not usually happen in this type of situation.

So let us know if something comes of or if anyone has any ideas where we might be able to reconstitute this bill ... again..
