Apocalyptic Awakening is the name of my new album.
I call it new instead of debut, because I already have a debut album under a different artists name. Although, I suppose it would be debut for this name.
So new or debut you choose.
I think alot about things like the end of the world etc, have nightmares about it. I like to learn about old cultures, the sumerians etc. Theres so much information about the world, in the world it would take 23 lifetimes to learn it all.
There are theories about the year 2012, and about evolution, spiritual awakenings. This premise inspired this album.

1) Bad Foot Karma & Parking Magic:
This song was named because I have the most wretched foot Karma EVER. I also do have parking magic, so long as one pays homage to me they find good parking and 99% of the time If I am there I get good parking. It has been an inside thing in our family since I was young. Anyway, when I sought a good name for this song, that is just all over the spectrum, I picked that because It is something unique to me. I made it number one because it's such a nonissue really, it sets up how noone really worries about anything outside of themselves.
2) Polly Ester:
I thought of seventies clubs when this song was finished. I thought of polyester. then I thought of two girls names, Polly & Ester, names and the word itself. Again, clubbing & a time of nonworry.
3) Call of the Maya:
This song represents the Mayan culture and calendar. Of course the obvious prediction to the apocalypse in 2012, but also the end of their culture by the Spaniards.
4) The Men Behind the curtain:
There are always rumors of nefarious secret societies, be they religious zealots, satan worshipping evil-doers, or money hungry bankers. There is always someone bigger, and more powerful than millions of people running the show. steering the path of all humans, this song represents them and their finesse, and the seemingly insurmountable-ness of their influence and power.
5)Barcode Slavery:
This song represents, hardworking blue collar families, housewives doting over celebrities and their personal goings on, fashion changes every year, and every other unimportant thing in this more-more-more world. I am remarking about how we are all voluntary slaves of our own laziness, our dreams, and our unwillingness to act honorably, for others. I remark on the selfishness of individuals and of humans collectively.
6)Impotent Desires:
This is an extension of the previous song, as it remarks on the depression of the masses for their unspent and unrealized dreams. Both of our own doing and of the circumstances put forth by the "men behind the curtain" or whomever is in charge.
7)Humanity:
This one is just a flat broad comment on the vastness of humanity as a whole, not our different cultures, but about what I believe is the soul of humanity as a collective whole, or perhaps what I think it should be.
8)Prayer of the Innocent:
This one is more difficult to describe. It is a prayer of innocents, spoken from the lips of children, but when I imagine a do or die scenario, a really apocalyptic state for all mankind, I imagine that most of humanity would be brought to it's knees. I think perhaps priorities would change, ideas, and preconceptions would change. Some for the better and some for the worse. This prayer, is for that time, and any time before or after, however idealistic, it is a pure and genuine request from my perception of the human heart and soul.
9)Hope for the Hopeless:
This one is about depression, and how rampant it is in our society. It is about life beating one down and the constant process of getting up again after having been down. It is a statement about persistence, and being cynical, and never giving up, even though you feel little hope. It is about oxymorons, feeling to opposing things at once, and about trying to save someone else.
10)This Clandestine Life:
This one is about mission impossible type guys. That operate in the shadows, either for good or evil, double agents, and freedom fighters. It's about the entire spectrum of conspiracy theories, secret agents, colonial militia, from the past, present and future.
11)Frequency shift:
This is about the idea that all matter is made of atoms, and all atoms are nothing more than energy operating at a vibrational frequency. A frog is different than a rock, but only because of that frequency. The event of evolution then would be a simple changing of the frequency of one's vibrations. Either the cause or effect of an awakening, whether spiritual or mental.
12) Let come what may:
this song is about the fact that control is an illusion, and whatever will be,will be. That no amount of protesting, preparing, or praying will stop what is meant to be. that each circumstance presented to us in our lives is a test, that we either pass or fail. And the ability to realize that, not knowing if you will pass or fail but being willing to see it through anyway. A small form of growth in and of itself.
13) Prayer of the innocent (instrumental) :
The melody was so darn pretty in my opinion I thought some people would enjoy it all by itself. It sounded like a movie score, to the concept I had presented and felt like a good way to close.
I hope you enjoy this album as much as I have enjoyed making it. I have all the songs on my mp3 player and I listen to them while I clean or paint or anytime I can have a free moment, mostly critiquing. Like they say, I am my own worst critic right?
If you like it well enough to buy it you can find it on amazon very very soon, either in CD form or mp3. It is cheaper on lulu, but has less artwork. the link to that store is on my main myspace page.
Soon I hope to be able to post it on itunes.
peace
