As you should all know by now.... the USA has a new President...  Good or bad, we all have a opinion, but lets pray he is a "breath of fresh air" that we need in the white house, and not the biggest mistake in history. Good or bad, I think we are in for a whole new experience. History was made today.... and I pray it will be a great moment in History...

Now, the question is.... what is Obama's opinion on the General Lee!? 

Last weekend I drove the Lee to the Mopar show, and it ran like crud..... if I got over 40 or on a hill, it would barely run.... it had done that a LITTLE before... but it kept getting worse....

yesterday I got under the hood.... changed the points, and the fuel filter and took it for a test drive..... BEST it has ever ran, since I did the engine swap!! Actually drove it like i stole it!!  OK.. maybe not that HARD of driving... but I didnt baby it! ALso took the patrol car for a spin (to parts store for the points and tranny fluid for the Lee). Soon as I get a chance (in next week or 2) I will be taking it overto my friend Rons house and change out the rear tranny seal.... he has a spare in his garage, and a PIT to get under the car easily....  he offered both, and I am accepting!  Also found a junkyard about 40 miles away... has a 2nd gen charger in it.... so going to go after next payday... and see what I can get!!!

bought a buddy seat last weekend for $20.... in great shape.... sadly, makes my seats look even worse!

welp.. I am off.... lata!

And, I am about as ready as I can be!  The General Lee isnt 100% ready, but its at least 80-85%!  And I will have a friend tweak the last few things that NEED to be done...  my buddy Derrick has 2 69 Charger General Lees, so guess he should know how to fix em!

Yesterday I drove mine about 85 miles, round trip to the Drag Strip (as a spectator ONLY!) and then to work for the 1st time!!! 

today, I drove it to work for the 2nd time!!!

my pay isn't great.... but gotta love the view!!!

this will be my General Lee's AND my family's FIRST Dukefest.... hope it goes better then the first Monster Truck Race I got them to go to... (Monster Truck driver got knocked out, and the truck went into the audience... 2 or 3 people were killed.)  and I had gone to DOZENS and DOZENS of those races.. without a problem.  So say some prayers that it all goes great, and we can start planning for Dukefest 2009!!!

Also, don't forget about Hair Dare Dukes Weekend 2008 in Leamington, Ontario!! great show featuring Sheriff Little, Coy Duke and a few others... you are pretty much GUARANTEED face time with the cast, AND to get your car signed by the cast members....  very down to earth show...

should be running tomorrow.... weather and Lord permitting!!

not sure if it will be road ready, as there are other things to do.... but we are getting there!!  can hardly wait.... got a BIG car show this weekend.

2 steps foward, and 3 steps BACK!!!

was all set to put the engine in the Lee today... but had to do some work on the intake manifold and 1 head... when removed.... OMG!!!  sludge was EVERYWHERE, and most DRIED to rock hard...  and 3 broken bolts, etc...  so I need a new engine, or a LOT of time, money and work fixing this one...

In about 2 hours, a mechanic friend of my sister's husband, arrives to start assembling the engine of the General Lee, and then will be installing it. Lord willing, I will hear that engine cranking over by Friday!!!  And IF it gets done Thursday... Friday I will get the exhaust installed, and (prays) I will be driving it by this weekend.... (got a 5 day weekend!! wohoo!!!) my BIGGEST goal.... is to be driving it next Wednesday...... my 40th Birthday!    I am sooo dreading beng 40!!  I know it;s "just a number"..... but WHAT A NUMBER!!!

Every 10 years since I became a adult.... I set a goal for myself on each decade....

at 20... my goal was to get laid... I did get laid in my 20s, but not when I was 20!

at 30.... it was to be married.   I got married 12 days before I turned 31! (I was seperated from my ex before I got to 32..  )

at 40, my goal was to have a General Lee.... (I got it last year.. now my goal is to be able to DRIVE it on my 40th Birthday!)

BEFORE 50, my goal is to own my own home (versus renting, etc.) and/or be in a tv show or movie, in a speaking role, and actually get RECOGNIZED by someone for it! (besides a mega duke fan that seen me on the news in Lousiana about the movie filming, when they interviewed me.. that happened 3 years ago.,)

at 60... to retire with TONS of money!

70, 80, 90 to be alive and loved by my wife of many decades...

100 or more...  whenever the end comes.... to be found in bed with a big smile on my face, surrounded by coeds and cheerleaders!!
