............................

Hey guys !

Here is a brief run down of the events that took place over almost 2 weeks ago.

It was everything we wanted it to be; fun, boring, tiring, annoying, frustrating, amazing, and all the words that can describe the most amazing experience we got to live. ....

.. ..

Jessseeka, Steph & Mum Rogan started off early Wednesday morning at about 7am to pick up the Van from Blacktown, then venturing off to a Rural town to pick up Russell and the trailer, and then trekked it all the way to Gavins (which isn’t that far from Russells) picked him up, then headed back to headquarters (The Rogan Household). ....

.. ..

After packing the trailer, with gear, enough food and people, we headed up the coast to ....Newcastle...., where Steph spent most of the night in the Van sleeping as she was sick, and we raised hell in the venue; managing to get 40 odd kids into a random room, for no apparent reason. Steph managed to get her sick self outta the Van to play our first show, it went off.....

.. ..

After a long-ish drive home after the show, everyone was exhausted, and knowing we all had to get up at 6:30am the next day, we all crashed. ....

.. ..

The next morning, we added our luggage to the trailer, and started driving for Wagga Wagga, it was cold, a little bit rainy, and fucking windy as, it was pretty hard to keep this van straight in the wind on the mountains, but the girls managed very well. ....

.. ..

Finally getting to Wagga in the mid afternoon, we split up and walked the streets seeing what we could find. The boys decided on $10 all you can eat (they regretted that soon after), and the girls decided to shop, because that’s what you in random towns! After finding great stuff to waste money on, they decided on a more trusting meal; thai.....

.. ..

Arriving back at the venue, we started setting up our gear, and organising ourselves, a few mates came down from Goulburn (Never Trust A Bunny), and party with is, to be honest, I’m pretty sure they were partying harder than any of us! We played the show, we packed up, and we setted off for a very long drive to Yarrawonga, about half an hour into the drive, we decided to change course and go to Albury, to a mates house, because it would take us too long to get to Yarrawonga and we were all fucking tired. The drive was long, dark and scary. We ended up having to stop in the middle of a crest intersection, in the middle of nowhere with little light, because the spare tyre had hit the crest and fallen out from underneath the van causing it to make a fucking loud scraping noise, we thought the worst. BUT NOT – Russell managed to save the day, and clip the god damned tyre back up where it should be, and we continued to Albury. We finally got there, everyone except Squeaks, Steph & Jessseeka slept in the car, the girls slept inside as they were our only drivers, and it was Squeaks mate’s house. ....

.. ..

After a very uncomfortable sleep in the van, all of us grabbing each other for some extra heat (I think there was a little too much heat at times hahahahaha), we finally got up, and were somewhat refreshed. Jess, Squeaks and Steph finally joined us (we were only parked outside the house hahaha) we headed off the rural Albury where we had lunch with some family. We all had a fantastic shower, and relaxed. Then once again, cramming into the Van and off to ....Bendigo.........

.. ..

Steph was on the first driving shift, it was her longest drive ever (only 3 and a half hours hahaha), and she decided to miss the Bendigo exit, she saw it, and drove straight past it, 25 km’s later, we realised that maybe we should turn around. Jess then finally took over, driving all the way back to ....Bendigo.... for our next show. After becoming totally delirious, listening to Britney Spears, Disney, Dragon Ball Z and some funny skit on a PSP we arrived in ....Bendigo.........

.. ..

It was a mad venue, and we ran a muck there. Mum Rogan found $50 in the toilets (good on ya!), posters we were trying to steal, someone else had stolen them, finding a parking spot, and finding some good chow. ....

.. ..

The drive back from ....Bendigo.... was stressfull. With Jess doing the night driving, we had to stop, and collect ourselves. After a break in the freeeeezing cold on the side of the highway we chilled. Getting back in and heading to ....Melbourne.... was a little more lively. With only 69km’s to ....Melbourne...., we were cheering. When Jess saw the city lights, it was the best feeling ever. ....

.. ..

As we arrive in ....Brunswick...., finding the most perfect park right out the front of the venue that we were playing at next, and the place we were sleeping for the next few nights, we were all fucking happy. Mind you, it hit 3:30am on the clocks. At 4am we were let into the venue, packing all our gear in the green rooms, and getting our luggage out of the car and into our rooms. We were asleep by 6:30am.....

.. ..

We wasted no time the next morning. We were all up, showered, dressed and ready to check out ....Melbourne.... city before our show that night. We headed in, it was frustrating using the ticket machines, considering they only have about 10 buttons on theirs, and we have 10 million, for some reason ....Sydney....’s method is easier. After getting our tickets, and missing the first train, we waited, took pictures, Bee decided to press the red button, and harass the station guy. (all this is on film, and a vid will be placed together soon!). ....

.. ..

....Melbourne.... was run, we shopped, we ate, we split up, we got lost, but all managed to find out way back to Noise Bar to get some rest before the show.....

.. ..

We got some grog (passion pop for the poor band – passion-pop-a-holics) we started drinking instead of resting, we got ready for the show, drank more, ate some $2.56 Home Brand Lasagne from SafeWay across the road for dinner. When getting ready to play the show, we wanted to do it, so we could go out and party, it was a Saturday night after all. ....

.. ..

We played a pretty hectic, drunken, messy show which the crowd enjoyed (thanks ....Melbourne....!), finished our set, packed up, hurried back to our rooms, got dressed, did our hair, make up, glitter hahaha, whatever, and then managed to all meet up to get to Bang ! It was about 12:30am going on 1am, and we realised that all public transport had stopped. So in the end, and after wandering around ....Brunswick...., we got 2 cabs. Russell, Jess, Steph & Gavin’s cabbie probably owned. ....

.. ..

We arrived in Melbourne city, first stopping at McDonalds to use the bathroom, and also stuff our faces, we ended up at Club X for a $2 peep show, (I have to say, a lot of members on this tour spent a lot of money in this club), and started trekking it up to Bang !....

.. ..

We finally got there. We got it. We drank. We danced. We partied. We left. On the exit of the club is where the fun began, we rode bins, we found hubcaps, we fell into gutters, we made maccas breakfast, and stuffed our faces once again. We stumbled home, where we had showers, puked, and slept. ....

.. ..

The next day, most of the band and crew slept, whilst Mum Rogan, Steph & Jess did some breakfast shopping, we had a big hot breakfast, and got changed, and headed back out to the City again, we went to the Casino, where Clik wont $170 on pokies, and Bee won $200 on Blackjack (we all know where their winnings went to).....

.. ..

Mum Rogan & Steph decided to head back, watch some dvd and chill out seeing as Steph had first shift on the van to leave at 6:30am the next morning for home. They got back and chilled. The rest decided to party it hard, they came back from the casino having been to SafeWay and got dinner, they ate played some cards, and when everyone went to bed, they caused havoc on ....Brunswick....’s streets (you can find some of the evidence in our photos).....

.. ..

The next morning, those who partied didn’t sleep, so when those who slept woke up, those who didn’t were ready to jet, we packed the trailer, we packed the van, and we headed off back to the ....Hume Highway..... Stopping for breakfast, and cigarettes, then eventually just smoking in the Van (the drivers & Mum Rogan needed their bad habibts). We stopped at the Big Submarine, where Bee decided to join in to a game of soccer with about 20-30 scary 15 year olds (all this is on film), it got pretty nasty, but it was hilarious. ....

.. ..

After 13 and a half hours of driving Steph got us home. It’s was great to be home.

Hey !

So we've finally done it. We are back. No more waiting; just a massive feeling of relief. We are so happy to be back; especially to be playing music again for all of YOU guys - because it's the only reason we have kept going. So thank you all for those who came yesterday !

We also wanted to thank everyone for welcoming our new members; Russell & Gavin as warmly as everyone did ! We really appreciate it.

We are not a dying family. We will continue to make music & play shows until we are old and wrinkly and can no longer run around a stage being all hot & shizzzzz ;]

So once again, thank you. You have all made our BIGGEST moment worth while !

Hi guys,

Just for the record, anything recorded that came off "It's A Disease" (2008 Release), is still the old line up. With Jack of drums, Clik on Guitar/Vocals, Bee on Lead, Steph on Bass and Shelley on Vocals.

We HAVENT recorded anything new just yet. But we will be recording SOMETIME this year :]

So to anyone who is confused, you should now NOT be.

Hey guys!

It's been a while since you've heard anything from us so I thought i'd be a great idea just to let you kids know whats going on with us.

Firstly just want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who stuck around in this very confusing time. But it will be all worth the wait, we promise :p We could not have survived this without the support all you guys have given us, and for that we are forever grateful.

Well here's really whats going on with The Vaine. Honestly right now we are really busy trying to find the perfect person for the position hence why we've taken so long. This person will hopefully bring something new to The Vaine, a change we've all waited for.

Ahhhh yes we've heard alot of rumors of us becoming somewhat "mainstream".
Believe it or not we have always been a band who has always stayed true too our roots and not the latest trends =]

We are currently writing a whole heap of new shit for our debut in a few months (which we hope all you kids will show you support and be there).

We know that will have to start from the bottom again, but we believe in our music and that's enough to get us through it all again.

You guys are the reason we still play our music and the reason why we haven't given up yet =] <3

SORRY!

Dear Goulburn,

At this time, we should be setting up our gear, and getting ready to play for you guys, but knowing our luck, our only form of transportation finally failed us. We did think of other ways to get down to you guys, but that was unconventional. PLUS, we really wanted to ride in the tow truck, pretty much looked like a roller coaster on the inside, so at least some of us had a good night! Again, we really apologise to anyone who was hoping to catch us there, we OWE you big time, promise we'll make it up :]

For your amusement only, here are some pictures !
