Europa here I am!

It's true! I flew over the ocean to reach France on September 17th and finished an amazing tour with band Cannibales et Vahines in the south of France and Basque countryside in Spain. Many delicious things were eaten from the sea, many songs were played, and I was attacked by friendly cats wherever I slept. I am now in Greece and getting ready for my first DJ set tonight at a secret location. Then Sunday I play at TIKI here in Athens and am then off to Syros with the Rokos brothers for acoustic fun and a vernissage.

It ist truly das heat of summer here in Montreal und I had to escape from das pantry as I just couldn't breathe in there, ja. Mein gutness!

So...I emerge to find that mein two albums "Hosemusik" und "Tales From The Pantry" are finally available on iTunes!!! Can you believe it? Mich neither. Sehr ausgezeichnet! Download them, rock to them in your iPoden und other devices, ja!

In other neues I recently recorded ein cover of "Chemical Bombs" for das Aquabats Tribute album so I am eagerly awaiting news about when it vill be released. You'll be the first to know when it is.

I discovered in the back of the pantry a few very special limited edition Paul Frank tshirts (youth sizes sm-med-lg - mit me in mein gardenhosen playing a "Yomamma" keyboard to some fruit) that were designed for me for the Aquabats tour in 2004...these are very special collector item tshirts (only 150 were printed) so if you would like your very own email "kristamuir@gmail.com" for paypal information. There is a picture of it in my photos to check aut. Super excited, ja...thought these were long gone...

Mein freundlings!

I have been busy floating in hyperspace!!! It is true....came down to earth for a short while to work on a song for an Aquabats Tribute album so I'll let you know more about that sooooon...But then I was projected back into space because my creatrice has been busy with her next musical creation. The brand new album will be finished as of TONIGHT in Montreal!@#!@#! Eeeeee...

It finally happened in Montreal...I rocked "Fruit Belt" und ein neue song "Lucil Roots" (I'll put up a l'il MP3 of it soon...home recording mojo action!) March 31st here at Club Lambi on St. Laurent. Freunds Famulous, Dandi Wind and The Lollipop People blew the pants off people so by the time I hit das stage it was uber bizarro!!!

After rocking out in mein Night Aquatic outfitten complete with intergalactic deep sea diving helmut (sehr hard to sing in but uber aesthetically pleasing for sure!), I transformed into Krista - mein maker! Her new band "Lucille" rocked the show - www.myspace.com/dearlucille - complete with synchronized swimmer dancers (see photos page for hilarious moments...).

I'm going to be working on das TV show now and won't be playing too many shows. I will rock the Mocktoberfest in Toronto on June 18th (1/2 our show at a BBQ so drop by and get a copy of "The Joy of Hosen" und listen to some tunes/eat some bretzel!) and making a special appearance with Pierre Lapointe June 15th at Metropolis (apparently he's ein big fan of mine und wants me to play ein few songs at his show!).

Also...a wee book launch party und "Lucille" concert is being planned for NYC. Watch the tour dates for updaten, ja.

Oh mein freundlings,

This is hilarious! I think all the time I send aut little bulletin posts that they are going to be magically put on mein blog as well. This was clearly ein fantasy! As you can see I try und minimize contakt mit mein computer. It is for this reason that sometimes it takes a long time to get back to you...but you are in my thoughts as I type this!

Although I currently am bogged down mit some Montreal flu I am blogging down today because some fun things are coming up.

So first...DAS BOOK! I have been working on this special odyssey in images...a veritable nostalgia, memory, scrapbook zine of a book...und it is finally going to be hot off the presses tomorrow! Yaaaaay! It was much like what I imagine giving birth to a very testy, large, strange, but beautiful baby is like.

The big free book launch party is Thursday, March 9th here in Montreal at Zoobizarre up on St. Hubert. 7-10pm Come one come all!!! Book signing, mini museum of memorabilia action, tasty thematic treats courtesy of Cat (uber chef in mein life! she makes food art und then food again!), DJ Villaine action, special bilingual Q&A and some secret musical treats as well...Come for das book! Stay for das mayhem...und Lucil-tinis (martinis made with Bombay Sapphire, vermouth,splash of apricot liquer, und garnished with a chocolate dipped dried apricot)!

We will be hitting Kingston, Toronto, und Ottawa as well for book launch parties and then crazy musical extravaganzas after...nautically themed of course, ja! Check the tour dates for more details...

Und ja, people have been asking me about SXSW...there will be no secret appearances by me this year...I am sad to miss aut on the BBQ, tacos and oh yes...the music! But fear not, I will return next jahr in a new incarnation und with brand neue songs...there is something in the works freunds...und it is very exciting indeed!

I should go make ein grilled cheese sandwich as I am sehr hungry. Will post again sooner than 1 year - NO! This will not be ein annual blog post! That is just too hilarious...Oh my blog!
