The Nightwatchers will be invading Estes Park, Colorado for an intense three full days and two nights of incredible Paranormal investigations and interaction!!! This one is in VERY high demand, so sign yo fast! Special thanks to our very own Nightwatchers Chapters Manager Callea for the help in putting this together for all of us!!! The NIGHTWATCHERS Invade Estes Park to Investigate TWO awesome locations! The Legendary Stanley Hotel - There are several rooms in the hotel that seem to be particularly haunted. One is Room 407, which is said to sometimes be occupied by Lord Dunraven, who owned the land prior to F.O. Stanley. Reportedly, he likes to stand in the corner of the room near the bathroom door. On one such account, witnesses reported that a light in that corner kept turning on and off. The doorknob on the closet rattles and noises were constantly heard from the nearby elevator during a time when the elevator was not in use. At other times, a ghost has been reported to be looking out the window of Room 401, when the room is not even booked. Tour guides tell a story of the ghost of a small child who has been seen by many of the staff in various areas of the old hotel. Reportedly, Steven King also saw the child, who was calling out to his nanny on the second floor. Other past employees report footsteps and apparitions seen throughout the building. The Historic Park Theater - Built in 1913 The Historic Park Theatre is the oldest theatre west of the Mississippi River built as a motion picture theatre that is still operating Film Productions. Movie seats fold and unfold on their own, the curtains move like people walking through them, voices are heard when the theater is empty, footsteps are heard in the middle of the night with no one in the theater and doors slam for no reason, echoing through the building. The staff of the theater have long declared the place is haunted and Nightwatchers look forward to investigating this amazing location! The Stanley Hotel and The Historic Park Theater - April 25the and 26th, 2010, this one is going to sell out fast so be sure to get signed up ASAP! Another successful investigation has come and gone. We had a great time in Yorktown, Texas investigating the Yorktown Asylum. More new friends were made and some interesting experiences were had. We even welcomed our first international investigators. Jose and Cecilia drove up from Mexico to join us on their first ever investigation.
The scariest part of the night for me, personally, was the SPIDER that crawled up my pants. Imagine my horror! For those of you who haven’t met me, I ain’t afraid of no ghosts, but a spider will send me running for the nearest Jack-in-the-Box before Todd can even get there. Now that’s fast! I can’t even watch “Charlotte’s Web”…the CARTOON version. That’s how scared I am of those evil eight-legged creatures. Anyway, enough on that subject, I’m getting the heebie-jeebies again just thinking about it!
So here’s a rundown on some of the experiences we had:
From Callea (JustASeck):
“Todd and I were by ourselves in the operating room area. We kept seeing a face with no body. It seemed to move around us as if it was circling us. Todd described the face as Captain Howdy from “The Exorcist”. I thought it looked more Phantom of the Opera-ish, but since I’ve never seen “The Exorcist”, he could be right. We began to feel a huge sense of dread in the area as if we really weren’t welcome. That’s when Todd asked me to feel his shoulder. He was literally trembling all over. His whole body was shaking uncontrollably.
I told him he needed to move away from that area, but he said he couldn’t move. He felt frozen in place. I grabbed his arm and tried to pull him away from the spot. Nothing. Then I tried pushing him really hard, then immediately pulling him towards me to try to throw him off balance. Nothing. He was stuck! I know he’s a big guy, but come on, that move always works with my 1000 pound horse, so it should have worked on him. I said the White Light Prayer under my breath, then grabbed his arm again and pulled with all my might. I’m surprised we didn’t land in a heap on the floor when he finally came loose. Lol!
Once he was able to move again, he walked around the room and then ended up right back in that same spot, again frozen and trembling. This time, before he was able to move, we heard several distinct knocks on the open door right next to us. I’m not really sure what happened in that room, but it really creeped me out!”
From Darriel:
“Kyle, Cecelia, Jose and I were on the first floor during the first rotation and we kept hearing clicking noises coming from one of the patient rooms (room 149). Initially, when we heard the clicking we all deduced that it sounded like someone turning on a switch of some sort, and when we examined room 149, we all noticed that the light fixture above the bed seemed to be out of place.
The light was attached to a metal arm that went into the wall just above the bed and could be swiveled in different directions and angles over the bed itself. We were convinced that the lamp part (where the bulb would go) had been facing straight down the first time we saw it, but after the clicking noises, the lamp part was facing US.
Later, we took a break and just before our group rotated to the basement, the four of us crept over to that room ...and lo and behold the lamp was facing straight down again! IT HAD MOVED again!! We were so excited!! I pulled Audrey aside later since her group would be the last one on the first floor and asked her to set up her video camera in there. I cannot wait to see if she caught anything in that room!”
From Cheryl (Ghostychick):
“The end of the night found us all gathered in the chapel to try a shack-hack session. Amanda led this and soon the spirit trying to talk to us turned the conversation to a personal note for me. I will always wonder if it was my grandmother that came through or something else. It turns out Yorktown started out as a convent for nuns from Poland. My grandmother was a nun from Poland. and left the order to marry my grandpa. I'm planning on doing some research to see if I can find out if she was ever in Yorktown. From what I know she spent all of her life in Maryland after coming here from Poland but to be honest it wouldn't be the first time I found out that there was something I never knew about my relatives. Gotta love mysteries!”
From Glenda (Glenhov):
“We had the most activity in the labor and delivery wing of the hospital. I took one of the hospital gowns they offered us and one of the draping sheets and hopped on to the gurney that was left in the delivery room, I even put my feet in the stirrups. As soon as I laid down it felt like the room was moving and I had a really unhappy feeling in my stomach. Don't know how to describe it, I wasn't in pain and I wasn't nausea, it just felt wrong. Then Julie got up on the gurney and something tugged at her jeans. A couple of us also thought we saw someone in the little room beside the delivery room where they flushed stuff. Duane also felt uncomfortable in the hallway between the delivery room and the nursery. I'm kinda excited about that, I'm so glad he had some kind of an experience. At the very end of the night, around 4:30 am, as we were all walking out of the chapel I could have sworn I saw a face in the hallway, no body just a face. It freaked me out a little and I didn't even think to get my camera.”
From Xan:
“In the kitchen, Steve and I were doing an EVP session and when Steve asked if anyone was there, a noise happened. Steve said, "Thanks can you do that again?" and the same noise happened. We tried to debunk/recreate the noise and we couldn't. My feeling is that with all of the broken windows, opened doors, and windy conditions, it is hard to say if it was ghostly communication.
Here is the funny in this scenario. While Steve and I were trying to duplicate the sound, Steve was looking into the freezer. I reached above his head, behind his back and moved the freezer door to check for sound. In retrospect, I should have warned my tough biker husband that I was going to do that...but I didn't. He jumped so high and when he came down, his arm went across my chest, and I was shoved out of the path of his full sprint across the kitchen. If there were any ghosts in there they had to have been laughing as hard as I was.”
Keep checking the forum at www.Nightwatchers.info for any evidence and additional experiences. Just remember, next time YOU could be having these amazing experiences with us!

What better way to start the new year than with a new and exciting way for us to keep you all updated on what we've been up to. We had a truly awesome year in 2008. Many exciting locations were investigated, LOTS of new friends were made, and some really cool evidence was captured. I, for one, would rate 2008 a HUGE success!!! Thanks to all of you who joined us on our wild and crazy adventures. Whether you investigated a location with us, listened to our wrap-ups on Nightwatch Radio, or read about the excitement on the Nightwatchers forum, just know we truly appreciate it. We know that many of you have wished you could join us on an investigation, but you're just not sure what the trips are really like. From now on, we plan to use this blog as a journal of our escapades, including some behind-the-scenes stuff you don't always hear about. You'll get to experience some of our craziness RIGHT HERE! Be afraid...be very afraid... You never know what is lurking in the dark mind of a Nightwatcher... After all, last year we experienced "Goat Boy", sock-fishing in a toilet and spitting rum on the tomb of Marie LaVeau (yes, I know, some of us are better than others when it comes to that...) and NONE of these took place during an actual investigation. So, remember, when you join us on an investigation, we believe in this motto, "What happens on a Nightwatchers trip...lands in this blog!!!" (Or on the next DVD). Now that you mention it, oh wait, I mentioned it...anyway...I'll tell you a little bit about our latest get-together right now. Some of us had the chance to watch a preview of the Nightwatchers DVD "A Journey of Whispers", soon to be released in stores everywhere. We met at Julie V's house in KC, MO and watched the (almost) finished version with Todd. All I can say is I don't know why Todd put "whispers" in the title. None of us is very good at whispering. Just try to put a bunch of Nightwatchers together in a room and ask us to be quiet and pay attention for almost TWO hours straight! Sorry, Todd. We really loved the movie, but we couldn't help talking about our favorite scenes. In fact, I think I caught you talking during some parts too! Mmmmm-hmmmm. I'll give you Shhhh! The DVD was amazing. It captured the feeling of a Nightwatchers investigation perfectly. It showed that, while we all like to goof around at times, we really do know how to conduct a professional investigation. I guess that's why we get invited back to locations over and over. It felt like a scrapbook, or a high-school yearbook, in video format. I actually wish I could have all my friends sign it and say things like, "Callea, you're a really cool chick and I really hope we can hang out this summer." If you haven't already ordered your copy, just go to www.NightwatchersDVD.com and order one right now. Remember, this is just a PRE-order. It will take a few weeks to receive your copy. We are really looking forward to telling you our stories as this year goes by. We hope you will enjoy the memories as much as we did making them. But wait...THAT's not possible. You can't possibly have as much fun reading about what we've done as you can if you get your butt out there and experience it with us! Come on!!! We won't bite (hard). Visit our forum at www.Nightwatchers.info or check out our lates investigations at www.NightwatchersEvents.com!!! See y'all soon! Callea (JustASeck)

Prospect Place, also known as The Trinway Mansion, is one of the most historic buildings the Nightwatchers will explore this year. It was built between 1856 and 1857 in the tiny town of Trinway, north of Dresden County by George Willison Adams. This Mansion is HUGE, with 27 rooms to explore... a very creepy location that has been called one of the most haunted places in Ohio. The large Ballroom, once the host to parties and dances, now is host to ghosts... many have reported sightings, music and voices from this area... The Barn was the site of many hangings and is known to be haunted by the spirits of those who passed there. When TAPS visited the location for the 2008 Season of the Ghost Hunters show,
Jason and Grant heard footsteps going up the stairs right in front of them and
saw many shadows. There was also some
strange things caught on the Thermal Camera.
Now YOU have a chance to explore and investigate this amazing location at
8 PM on July 11th, 2009. We
will be investigating the location all night long until sunrise!!! If you would like
to STAY IN THE LOCATION, it can be arranged, just bring sleeping bags, etc. Just let us know! Don't miss your chance to help us solve the
ghostly mysteries of the ....Prospect.. ..Place.. ..Mansion....!!!!
To sign up - please go to www.nightwatchersevents.com and sign up - the form is fast and easy on the bottom of the page... fill it out, hit send and you're ready to go! Hope to see you there!
