We would like to send a special thanks to Ed Tomlinson of “California Keyboards” for providing Ronnie with a beautiful Yamaha C-7 Concert Grand Piano for our show at the Crystal Palace in Bakersfield California on May 7^th, 2009 .

Ronnie has been busy in the studio the last couple of months.  Here are some updates on upcoming things

-New album will come out SPRING 2009 via EMI Christian. The double-disc album with Ronnie's first foray into a completely gospel album.

-New album will be titled, "Then Sings My Soul, 24 Favorite Hymns and Gospel Songs."

-Ronnie will be serving as the celebrity spokesperson for the Salvation Army here in Middle TN this holiday season. The Salvation Army's Angel Tree and Kettle program brings Christmas to thousands in need this Christmas season.  More TBA with this.

-Ronnie will be headlining WSM's Fan Appreciation show this fall at the Ryman Auditorium here in Nashville on November 6th.

Ronnie is participating in Keith Urban's "You Look Good in My Old T-Shirt Auction."  This is an online auction benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  Ronnie has donated a very special T-shirt to this very special cause. 

Ronnie had the shirt customized as a tribute to his long-time friend, Ray Charles.  Included with the T-shirt is a typewritten letter that Ronnie signed with the story behind the shirt.  The shirt is also signed.  This is truly a one-of-a-kind collectible honoring one legend by another.

The auction offers fans the chance to not only win a completely unique and personal commemorative item from a favorite artist, but also to contribute to a worthy cause.  Fans can bid on the auction, which was named after Keith's hit single "You Look Good in My Shirt," by logging onto www.KeithUrbanAuction.com.  All proceeds will go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

RONNIE MILSAP RECEIVES LEGEND AWARD;CONTINUES TOURING WITH 40 1 HITS

Nashville, TN - RONNIE MILSAP was recently presented the Legend Award by Rocketown founder Michael W. Smith at a fundraising event in Nashville, Tennessee. The event dubbed "What a Difference You've Made In My Life," raised funds to help Rocketown's mission to strive to make that difference daily by providing a home away from home for teens.

Ronnie Milsap ranks as the pre-eminent country soul singer, using his emotionally expressive voice and remarkable musical talent to become the most consistent and enduring artist of the '70s, '80s, and early '90s. Signing with RCA Records in 1973, Milsap's myriad of influences blended into a cosmopolitan style of country music that has helped revolutionize Nashville.

Now, over thirty years later his track record speaks loud and clear: 40 1 hits, more than 25 million records sold, seven GRAMMY Awards, four Academy of Country Music Awards, and eight Country Music Association Awards. Together, they underscore Milsap's position as one of the best-loved and most enduring artists in country music history.

Born into dire poverty in the Appalachian town of Robbinsville, North Carolina, Milsap's mother viewed her newborn's blindness as punishment from God. Shortly after his first birthday, he was cast off and given to his grandmother to raise. At age six, he was sent to the Governor Moorehead State School for the Blind in Raleigh, and the young boy faced barbaric disciplinary treatment all through his grade school and high school years. All along, the sightless child took refuge in music and the radio.

Ronnie, along with other country music stars, recently applied some Mary Kay lipstick and 'kissed' a card.  This was autographed and made into a plaque which is now up for bids at ubid.com.  The proceeds go to domestic violence charities.
