We’ve all heard the saying, “to know who you are, you have to know where you come from”….I’ve been blessed to be doing what I love for as many years as I can remember and I’ve been even more blessed with great success and the unbelievable support of my fans over the decades. And anyone who knows me personally, knows that I’m honored but most of all humbled by all of it. Creoles are such a unique and colorful group of people. Our culture is second to none and our music sets us apart from anyone else in the world. I guess that’s why every album I release is strictly from the heart. It’s because I know what’s on the line. My family’s history in Zydeco music spans over 4 generations!  To say there’s a burden there is an understatement, but that has been my cross to bear. And I hope that I have made my ancestors as well as my supporters proud in my vision and my music. With that said I’d like to speak to some issues in the music as well as issues that affect us all in everyday life. If you’re like me, everyday you feel like real people are getting harder and harder to come by; like we have totally lost sight of who we are. I remember a time not that long ago when Creole men carried themselves with the utmost amount of class and honor because they had a name to uphold that meant more to them than anything. Nowadays, you have men who come from greatness, and don’t even have the sense to appreciate it, much less carry on that legacy. I get asked everyday by young boys and girls about how to break into this business. My advice is always the same. Do you homework; learn your history. How can you do justice to your culture and our music if you don’t even know where you come from? We need to stop letting the outside world influence us so much and start trying to leave our mark on the world. So, to aspiring musicians, let me give you a little game. When you are good to people; good things happen to you. When you work hard; good things happen to you. When you put all your faith in God; good things happen to you and when you truly can love yourself and who you are, you become great. I have been so lucky to be compared to some of the biggest names in our music and even survived some tough battles with a few of them, and I can confidently say I’ll survive any battles ahead of me because I’ve followed this blueprint. My family is everything to me. The Frank legacy and the Creole culture will always be more important to me than my personal accolades. Those 2 things will always give me the strength to weather any storm ahead of me. I don’t have to pretend, emulate or mimic anyone. I’ll leave that to those desperately trying to find their calling in life. In the meantime, I’ll keep pushing forward with my feet firmly grounded and our culture on my back.

 Sincerely, The Boss

We are gonna do it again!! The first Old School Night was a big success with a wall to wall crowd and very enthusiastic dancers. I saw some people I hadn't seen out in quite a while. I have gotten so many emails and voicemails asking me to do it again. We are going to do it on the Friday before Mardi Gras in Henderson at the Creole Zydeco Club. Nothing but the old school Keith Frank music all night long. Come out and request your favorites.

As many of you know, the band was scheduled to perform in Houston today at Vernell's Icehouse. However, we were saddened to learn that Ms. Vernell passed away due to an illness. She was a wonderful person, who provided a venue for many Zydeco artists, both established and up and coming bands, to perform. She was also a supporter of many bands, coming out to show support whether the band was performing at her place or somewhere else. I would like to send heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and loved ones from myself and the rest of the band. She is someone who will be missed.

I will post more information on the services once I find them out.

I want to invite everyone to come out this Friday Night 12/28 for a special night. We will be taking things back, playing nothing but that old school Keith Frank music. We will have a few older members back for the night, and we plan on making the Creole Zydeco Club bounce like the old days. Come on out and request your Keith Frank favorites. We are gonna party all night long.

Also, we are going to be charging that throwback admission. Get to the Creole Club before 10pm and pay $7. See you out there!!

We are sorry about the cancellation at Downtown Rocks tonight in Alexandria.  As most of you know, a tragedy occurred overnight in Alexandria with the shooting, so the event was cancelled.  Hopefully, we will be able to come visit Alexandria soon.

Our prayers go out to the families of the deceased and everyone affected.
