Hello lovely people!

We are about to throw our music to some of Australia's radio BIG BOYS. Based on the advice and encouragement of a number of well-respected music industry people, we are releasing the single, "I Can't Breathe" to the commercial radio networks.

To date, previous song releases have had fantastic support from community stations across Australia, but we thought that we would release "I Can't Breathe" to an even broader list of stations. Why shouldn't we make our songs available to the Triple Ms, Novas, Foxs, MIXs etc? These guys may dig our stuff and want to help in exposing us to a new audience! I LOVE THE AUSSIE SPIRIT!!

An unbelievable number of you guys have told us how much you love "I Can't Breathe" and that it's the strongest song on the album, so we are excited to see where it is going to turn up on radio around Australia! Please tune into your local station. Let us know if you hear the track... even better, ring up and request it!

Release is scheduled for the next day or two! Stay tuned.

Hey Guys!

This is a very quick post to see if any of you are interested in helping with the "Not Calming Down" project.

We have already had a fantastic response to the single and related project (released December 08). We have had great comments, excellent sales and donations on the website. (See: www.simeon.cbm.org.au)

Do you want to work against becoming numb to the needs of others?
Do you want to inspire others to do the same?

If yes, "Not Calming Down" could be the project for you! It has a number of quick ways that we can all get involved in helping some of the poorest people on the planet living with disability -- purchasing the CD, making donations, and the opportunity to let others know about the need so they can get involved too!

Are you able to help in anyway? Buy a CD? Buy CDs for your friends? Make a donation? Let others know how they can get involved? (This could be a presentation at your school, church, small group. It might be taking on a fund raiser event.)

If you have any ideas or questions, please message us. We'd love to team up with you!

I look forward to hearing from you soon! Ohhh... and don't forget to check out the YouTube clip for this project:

Current mood:  adventurous
The band and I are VERY excited to announce the release of our new single "Not Calming Down". Why are we so excited? Is it because it has entered the Rock Across Australia charts? No. Is it because your local radio station probably has it on their playlist and you can request it? No. There is far more to this release than initially meets the eye!

Will you work with us to help change the lives of some of the world's poorest people living in Niger, West Africa? We are aiming to raise $50,000 for the project, "Not Calming Down 4 Niger".

The song "Not Calming Down" developed as I realised a need for change.

Too often we become insensitive to the needs of other people. We can see the pictures of desperation, we can hear the stories of hopelessness, we can know the statistics of poverty; but so easily the faces can become disconnected from the reality that they belong to real people like you or me. We can talk about the struggles faced by so many but do nothing, or very little to help.

"Not Calming Down" is about practical action. It's about frustration with self - I'm sick of thinking that life is about living for me! I must act in response to what I see.

As a band, we know we can't just sing and talk about this problem – that would be hypocritical – we need to be active with our time and money. As a result, we approached CBM about getting involved in their work in Niger, West Africa.

The result: "Not Calming Down 4 Niger" - a project that we hope will raise awareness of the needs in Niger and $50,000 for the work of CBM there.

CBM was chosen by us to partner with on this project because of its incredible track record working to rehabilitate the world's poorest people with disability. It is a fantastic organisation that enables us to quickly become involved in making a difference.

Niger, the poorest country in the world based on many statistics, is a country full of people with very obvious physical needs. I have seen and touched the people when I lived there in the 1990s; thus I have a connection I feel appropriate for this project.

As a start to this project, we have a great opportunity for all of us to get involved.

The "Not Calming Down" CD is now available and simply purchasing this CD will help rehabilitate some of the world's poorest people living in Niger, West Africa.

The CD is only $10 (+ postage and handling) with the full $10 (of the 1,000 pressed) being donated to CBMs work in Niger.

In addition to the CD containing the album versions of "Not Calming Down" and "All Remains Is Love" it also has new acoustic recordings of "I Hear Your Voice" and "Wings Of Change"... AND a video: footage from Niger set to the song, "Not Calming Down"!

Buying this CD will make a huge difference... it's that easy to get involved. Why not buy multiple copies as Christmas gifts for your friends and family?

The CD booklet contains an introduction to the "Not Calming Down" project, the lyrics, information about Niger and the work of CBM, the stories of some Nigeriens, and an opportunity to further get involved in the work of CBM.
