I have wacked up some new songs in an electro vein...not that I actually injected myself with sonics, just placed them up here and there are more at my last fm page...all rather inspired by the fires that came through here...and also just showing some new tricks I have been learning within Live 8 and the ever faithful and delightful Logic 5.5.1

Have formed a new band for the rock side of Sparrow, called the The Great Divide....Myspace page to follow.....also playing around town solo so have heaps of avenues of sound going on....just the way nature intended it to be......

more tunes here

Its not fair...i lost a good friend tonight...Dave is gone and my heart cant cry enough....oohh dave, I'm wrecked at your passing..all those times we spent making the tunes, playing the cards and breathing the smoke....he was in my first band, he was the baker of our town...both me and him came up with the name...T.E.A.C....The Electric Apple Chorus......fuck it, sadness is an envelope I post to....i miss you miss you man..your smiles, your humour...you were one of the funniest guys I knew..we had our own secret language, one with hand symbols, we laughed together so often..I used to love coming up to the desert were you lived..I feel sorrow for your wife and kids..you were my brother when no else understood..I love you dave, I wish I we could spend one more hour together, fishing and drinking a slab, playing nintenod 64 and laughing at our mistakes...you were a brother to me, I hope you knew that....I will pay homage, I will be there for your family, I will remeber pyscho killerand the grin that song bought to your cat face..I love you.....rest in peace my great brother...I love you.....

Current mood:  shocked
Bushfires and all not with standing...living in a caravan, doing my trailer park trash best to keep it all togeher...enjoying being unemployed....been keeping very busy with some recordings (the caravan is a sonic capsule!)...played in an Aussie Rock cover band the other night, singing inxs and aussie crawl amongst others...it was the grand opening of the St Kilda City Social Club...about 200 showed up and the cops closed us down at about 12:30...not bad for not having a license!..anyways, was humbling to do some covers as it not my natural state of being.....catching up with a friend who has lost his childhood in the fires..been gathering photo's for him when were 16 and living in Denmark so he can put back together some of the visions he has lost....its very heartbreaking...I went for a drive the other day right into the heart of it all and it shocked me beyond belief....all that forest I used to play in as a child is gone...its like a bomb has gone off...they have said it burnt at 1700 degrees C which is hard to fathom but you see the melted cars and you can certainly beleive it.....but, as the Aussie bush is regenerated by fire, there are signs of tree's sprouting green again after the last rains....its just very heavy and hard to take in....everything is still in flux...will write more once I've laid a new score......

Current mood:  blessed
Just got back from Nepal yesterday... i still cant fathom all i experienced...never have I been in such a wonderful and at the same time messed up country..i was over there helping and checking out some organisations - both http://www.womenepal.org/ and http://www.stichting-veldwerk.org/  - both truely great bodies at work...such beauty and resiliace in the people who have nothing...people existing on 33c a day but still happier and more willing to smile and laugh than 99% of people over here..i trekked into remote villages, saw bodies burn, babies born, was postponed by riots, fuel strikes, power cuts (sometimes 17 hours in day), cold showers and hand washing, children crying, children dying, mothers sighing, fathers trying, a corrupt government led by a rebel leader..i'll post some pictures in my photo section..i guess i cant really write about it, it will come out in late night stories and songs, i left my heart there and feel lost back here...
