The Album »Against the Gravity« will be released all over ..Europe.., and in digital form throughout the rest of the world ....


On the basis of excellent pre-sale promotion, tours and summer festival appearances, the band Elvis Jackson have signed a record deal for the release of their album »Against The Gravity« with the German label Antstreet Records. The album will be released on 20th November 2009 and can be purchased in ..Germany.., ..Austria.., ..Switzerland.., ..Italy.. and the ..Benelux...  Three days later, on 23rd November 2009 it will also be available in ..Scandinavia... The release of the album in the UK and in Ireland, in the interests of consistency with the promotion, has been moved to the second half of January 2010. Promotion in the British Isles will be handled this time by an agency who are involved with promoting rock and pop giants such as Mick Jagger, Madonna, Simple Minds, Iron Maiden, Kiss, Guns'n'Roses etc. Apart from the above mentioned countries, the album will also be issued in other markets outside ..Europe.. and can be purchased in digital form throughout the world. Elvis Jackson will begin actively promoting their release in ..Austria.., ..Germany.., ..Italy.. and ..Switzerland.., continuing further to the British Isles, Benelux and ..Scandinavia...

Elvis Jackson have performed live concerts this year in ..Austria.. (November 2009) and ....Germany.... (December 2009). For the rest, the promise is more to come in 2010.

ELVIS JACKSON BOMO IZDALI ALBUM NA TUJIH TRGIH!

Album »Against The Gravity« bo izšel  po celotni Evropi, v digitalni verziji pa tudi po preostalem svetu....


Elvis Jackson smo na podlagi dobre pred-promocije, turnej in poletnih festivalskih nastopov, sklenili dogovor o sodelovanju in izdaji albuma »Against The Gravity« z nemško založbo Antstreet Records. Album bo izšel 20. novembra 2009 in ga bo mogoče kupiti v Nemčiji, Avstriji, Švici, Italiji in državah Beneluksa, tri dni kasneje, 23.novembra pa bo na voljo še v Skandinaviji. Izdaja albuma v Angliji in na Irskem je zavoljo usklajenosti s promocijo, izjemoma prestavljena v drugo polovico januarja. Za promocijo na Otoku bo tokrat zadolžena agencija, ki sicer sodeluje z velikani popa in rocka, kot so Mick Jagger, Madonna, Simple Minds, Iron Maiden, Kiss, Guns'n'Roses idr. Poleg že omenjenih, bodo sledile izdaje tudi na drugih tržiščih izven Evrope, v digitalni verziji pa ga bo mogoče kupiti tudi po celem svetu. Elvis Jackson bodo z aktivno promocijo pričeli v Avstriji, Nemčiji, Italiji in Švici, nadaljevali pa jo bodo tudi na Otoku , Beneluksu in Skandinaviji. Koncertrno smo Elvis ....Jackson.... letos aktivni še v Avstriji (november 2009) in Nemčiji (december 2009), za ostale države pa se gostovanja obetajo v letu 2010.

Elvis Jackson appeared recently as guests on the new format MTV EXPRESS show. 
Recorded completely live, it is both documentary, dynamic and a very spontaneous show. 
The group found themselves in a situation without much stage production or lighting and without electricity. They presented themselves in the quite unusual role (at least for the group themselves) of being an acoustic band, and above all in a most unusual location (a river boat on the Ljubljanica River). For the occasion they prepared and strummed their way through a couple of differently-arranged songs such as »Hawaiian club«, »Morning«, »Smoke the Herb« and »Fear Off«.  Listen and you should be surprised and delighted! 

The show can be seen only on MTV today, Wednesday 18.11.09 at 8pm. Repeats are on Thursday 19.11.09 at 07.12 and 12.39, on Friday 20.11.09 at 4pm and on Saturday 21.11.09 at 03.00 and 08.40 as well as on Sunday 22.11.09 at 01.30am.

MTV EXPRESS: ELVIS JACKSON

Elvis Jackson smo tokrat gostje oddaje novega formata MTV EXPRESS. Govora je o živi in obenem dokumentarni, dinamični ter zelo spontani oddaji. Tokrat smo se morali znajti v situaciji brez velike produkcije in reflektorjev ter brez elektrike. Predstavili se vam bomo v za nas nevsakdnji vlogi akustičnega benda in na neobičajni lokaciji (ladjica na reki Ljubljanici). Za priložnost smo pripravili in odbrenkali drugače aranžirane pesmi »Hawaiian club«, »Morning«, »Smoke the Herb« in »Fear Off«. 
Prisluhnite jim, navdušeni in presenečeni boste!

Nominees for Best Adria Act Announced!
Voting for the MTV Europe Music Awards 2009 has begun and MTV just announced the 5 nominees for Best Adria Act! And they are:

22th Dec. 08 // World premiere of the new single »This Time«

In this festive period Elvis Jackson decided to give a special kind of present to all our friends and fans. On the last day of this year, exactly at midnight on December 31st, we will premiere the first single from our next album. »This Time« will be premiered on the world wide web on the band's official myspace website: www.myspace.com/elvisjacksonband.

All website visitors will also be presented with a special video surprise. In this way Elvis Jackson would like to announce a new chapter on our musical path. Because »This Time« is of great significance to us, we want that you would be the first to hear it. In the beginning of January the single will also be added to the programme of radio stations in Slovenia and abroad. At the same time, this is an announcment of our brand new album »Against The Gravity«, which will be released on March 16th 2009.

 

Some words about »This Time« from Buda, the singer of Elvis Jackson:

It's an optimistic song, full of hope. It's slightly in a different genre than other titles from the new album, created in a very special atmosphere. We invited two music guests, a cellist and a percussionist, who contributed to even fuller and more interesting sound. »This Time« will be presented as our first radio single on the New Year's Day as a first step on our way towards new challenges, which are so much easier to be met with when a person has a positive attitude towards the surrounding world. With this single we want to express our best wishes and make an announcement of what the New year brings. Let it take you by surprise.

Elvis Jackson smo se odločili, da bomo vse naše zveste oboževalce za praznike obdarili na prav poseben način. 31.12., na zadnji dan v letu natanko ob polnoči, bomo na poslušanje ponudili premiero prvega singla iz novega albuma. Pesem »This Time« bo predstavljena na svetovnem medmrežju, na uradni myspace strani skupine: www.myspace.com/elvisjacksonband. Obiskovalce strani pa bo pričakalo še presenečenje v video obliki. Na ta način želimo Elvis Jackson sporočiti, da se z letom 2009 prične novo poglavje v naši glasbeni karieri. Pesem »This Time« ima za nas zelo velik pomen, zato želimo, da jo najprej slišite vsi, ki vam Elvis Jackson kaj pomenimo. V začetku januarja bo single svoj prostor našel tudi v glasbenem programu radijskih postaj pri nas in po svetu. Obenem je to napoved izida albuma »Against The Gravity«, ki bi naj na prodajne police prispel 16. marca 2009.

 

Buda, pevec skupine Elvis Jackson o pesmi This Time:

Gre za pozitiven komad, poln optimizma in upanja. Za nas je nekaj posebnega, saj se žanrsko nekoliko rezlikuje od ostalih komadov z novega albuma, nastal pa je iz nekega prav posebnega vzdušja. Pri snemanju smo k sodelovanju povabili glasbena gosta in sicer čelista ter percusionista, ki sta vsekakor dodala svoj prispevek k polnejšemu ter zanimivejšemu zvoku izdelka. Komad bo predstavljen kot prvi radijski singel prav na novega leta dan, ko se polni optimizma podajamo novim izzivom naproti. Te pa je vsekakor lažje dosegati s pozitivno naravnanostjo do stvari, ki nas obdajajo. Pesem bo istočasno naše voščilo in napoved tistega, kar prinaša novo leto. Naj vas preseneti.

20th Dec. 08 Concert in Bucharest (Romania) postponed

The performance of Elvis Jackson at the Underfestival in Bucharest, which we announced in the previous month, will not take place. Because of great interest, our concert is postponed to March 2009. We will perform in the Fire Club on March 3rd 2009! And the concert will be a part of our first 2009 tour.

20.12.08 Preložen nastop v Bukarešti (Romunija)

Elvis Jackson ne bomo v Bukarešti nastopali, kot smo pred časom napovedali, na Underfestivalu, ampak je zaradi velikega zanimanja naš nastop preložen v marec 2009. Takrat bomo nastopali v klubu Fire skupaj s še dvema lokalnima skupinama. Koncertni datum je tako 6.3.2009 in se bo zgodil v okviru naše nove koncertne turneje.

20th Dec. 08 New Tour Announcement

Our first 2009 tour is announced from March 3rd to March 14th. This time we will perform for the first time in Romania (Bucharest), Bulgaria (Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna), Macedonia (Skopje) and Hungary (Budapest). Other tour concerts are being arranged for Zagreb, Belgarde, Kragujevac, Mostar, Sarajevo and others. More info about the tour soon on our website.

20.12.08 Napoved  nove koncerte turneje

V času od 3.3.2009 do 14.3.2009 je napovedana naša prva koncertna turneja v letu 2009. Tokrat naj bi poleg Romunije (Bukarešta) prvič obiskali tudi Bolgarijo (Sofija, Plovdiv, Varna), Makedonijo (Skopje) in Madžarsko (Budimpešta). Polega tega pa so v dogovoru koncertni nastopi v Zagrebu, Beogradu, Kragujevcu, Mostarju, Sarajevu in še kje. Več o koncertni turneji kmalu na naši uradni spletni strani.

Elvis Jackson for the very first time in Romania! We were invited to perform at the Underfest festival (13th February 2009) in Bucharest, the capital of Romania. The headliner of the fest is the american band No Use For A Name. The most important local punk rock bands will perform as well. More about festival soon on our web sites.

Elvis Jackson have recently welcomed a new drummer - Marko Sor--ak. He has been chosen on the audition, among more than 40 drummers from Slovenia, Austria, Croatia and Italy.

Marko Sor--ak's words on this occasion were: »I'm very happy and proud to be a member of Elvis Jackson. We get along great. But what is the most important is their professional and hardworking spirit. I believe in this band and success, and I'll give my best ...«

Marko Sor--ak was born in Maribor in 1980. He started playing drums when he was twelve. He has played in various bands of different music genres. He has been organizing Drum Workshops and Drum Clinics. He is a teacher at the BASE School of music, a representative of japanese brand TAMA in Slovenia and a studio drummer. Although he finished his studies at the Faculty of economics, he decided to dedicate himself to music alone.

The rest of the band, Erik Makuc - Slavc (bass), Bo--tjan Beltram – Berto (guitar) in David Kov--ca – Buda (vocals), had our last concert with now our former drummer, Sergej Randjelovi-- – Runjoe, in front of thousands of people at the Belgrad Beerfest. But we still wish to do a special farewell show in Slovenia too. Let it be a surprise.

Our first official show with our new drummer, Marko Sor--ak, will take place in Switzerand this weekend – on the OA Granichen festival. In Slovenia, Marko's first concert with the band will be in his hometown in Maribor.
