The busiest day of the year is now a thing of the past......thank goodness.  I still have lots of photos to edit but most of them are already online.

Seems that I have been using cameras and then just tossing them in the drawer without downloading the pics.  That is a no-no.  Anyways I think all the cameras have been cleaned up now.  Nearly all the photos left on the camera were personal so you will be seeing a few on here for a bit...........if I can get on here.

I know that I said that I was not doing any more websites.  Well, guess I did not tell the truth there.  I created 2 social networks yesterday and this morning.  Both Paddy's Pub and Fayetteville Live Music have there very own social networks now.  Check'em out

Fayetteville NC Area Music Scene..........Paddy's Irish Pub

It would be great if you would join the networks while you are there.  If nobody joins I will just scrap them in a month or so...........nothing ventured, nothing gained.  At least I will know that I tried.

Scooter is really growing up.  He will be 3 years old in just a few weeks.  Here are some shots that I got of him back on March 8th.

He now goes to the kitchen, sits down (he says "I sit down" first), and waits for me to come get him a snack.  Sometimes I am not real fast in getting in there but not to worry.  He just sits there and waits patiently.

He actually drives those chairs around like a car.  He has learned to just push on the table, wall, whatever and away he goes!!!!  He has a little trouble going over the door facing into my office so he does not hesitate to let me know that he needs a little shove!

Back to the drawing board.  I got some shots last weekend..........if I can find them.  We went out to Bragg to get my medications........well I will tell you after I find the photos.

See you next time.

Iwas definitely right. The place was jam-packed when I got there.Standing room only is more or less normal when Paddy & Bill are onstage. Check it out.........

Everyone was having fun, fun, fun!!!! Of course it would not havebeen complete without at least one or two tambourine girls (pubkittens). We had those!!!

Tomorrow night I hope to get three shows in. Wish me luck. Me thinks I may be getting a bit old for this!!

I'm doing three shows tonight. I started out with Justin Morehead at Paddy's. I had never seen him before with his glasses......quite a distinguished looking young man. Well, as one young woman from Kansas City says----a hunk!!
See for yourself.

Then it was down to Huske for the first night of their new Thursday night open mic. My friends Jeremy Strothers & Mitra Maraj (DL Token) are the hosts. Just walking into the place brought back truck loads of memories of the many, many nights I was there for Paddy & Bill. I was really thrilled to learn that the second performer was none other than Chris Hurst. He plays at Paddy's on Friday nights but I had not yet seen him. Man, I really like his stuff. Here are a couple of shots of Jeremy, Mitra, and Chris.

The crowd seemed to be having a great time. Take a look.

Time for me to get back on the road. I came home to do a battery charge so that I would have a good supply for Paddy & Bill's show. Now that is going to be a real mad house!!! More to come..............

Our very own duo, Paddy & Bill, will be performing in the St Patrick Music for Charity Series on Friday, October 3, 2008 at 7:30pm.
This will be Paddy & Bill as you have never seen them before so don't miss it!!

The following is extracted from St Patrick's website:

Guillermo "Bill" Ayerbe in ConcertFriday, Oct. 3, 2008, 7:30 P.M.
We are delighted to open this year's season with a performance by Bill Ayerbe, concertmaster of the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra. Originally from Jersey City, New Jersey, but of Ecuadorian heritage, Bill is a classically trained violinist with degrees from the Ukrainian Institute of America, New York University, and Creighton University. For the classical portion of this concert Bill will be accompanied by pianist Dr. Howard Kim, but the concert will also feature some of the music that he performs with local singer/songwriter Paddy Gibney.  In addition to his orchestral and solo work, Bill maintains an active teaching studio. He has two solo CD's to his credit, Pasillos Inmortales and Ecos del Corazon.

The mission of the Saint Patrick Music for Charity Series is two-fold:

* First, to provide outstanding musical performances to the Cumberland County community admission free

* Second, to heighten the awareness of and raise funds for local charities through the performing arts.
In order to achieve these goals, the series aims to offer 3 or 4 concerts each season entirely free of charge to the public.  These concerts are open not just to the parish but to the wider Fayetteville community.  At each concert, the benefiting charity is invited to have a display in the church vestibule and to give a brief presentation about their work. A freewill collection is taken at the doors. The series expenses are funded by the generous donations of the Friends of the Music Series, through grants and through the support of Saint Patrick Catholic Church.

For more information or to make a contribution to our expenses, please contact the music ministry office at (910) 323 2410 ext. 117 or email arogers@stpatnc.org
