Unecc

One can easily make comparisons between the sensational talents of GLBT International Artist Unecc (Pronounced Unique) and the Merriman-Webster’s’ definition, which describes the word as being without a like or equal. Born in the Bronx, NY, and raised in Schlobhm Gardens one of the worse Projects in America. Unecc has over come many of life trials and obstacles, she credits music as her outlet for pain.
With a passion for music and an overall love to contribute to the betterment of the world's people, Unecc's quick witted & soul-dipped lyrics ignite her listener's interest and leave no doubt that her tongue is lined with silver and she's sure to get that vinyl in platinum. Martine Locke

Martine Locke is an Australian independent singer/songwriter in the rock/folk vein, and has been performing in the U.S. for the last 4 years. She has performed at festivals such as the Michigan Women's Music Festival, Woodstock Folk Festival, National Women’s Music Festival, Virginia Women’s Music Festival and Musikfest, and in several Australian festivals. She captivates the audience with her stories and humor, and invokes their deepest emotions with her powerful vocals, memorable melodies and mesmerizing style of guitar playing. Martine's performance is passionate, witty, personable, highly energetic and, of course...Australian!

THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID - from LA California

That’s What She Said formed in 2006 after a chance meeting at the Second City Comedy Club in Los Angeles. After revealing to one another that “I always wanted to write a show,” Amy and Kathryn entrenched themselves in musical improvisation. Sitting at Kathryn’s keyboard for a solid year, they experimented with musical styles, shared stories and, ultimately, began writing songs in every style of music: disco, jazz, rock, power ballad, light opera, rap and more. Since premiering their show in November of 2007, Amy and Kathryn have performed for audiences in theaters, cabaret clubs, Pride festivals, the Dinah in Palm Springs, and at an Olivia resort in Mexico. Their debut CD is hot off the press earning rave reviews. Additionally, their online sensation "U-Haul: The Music Video" is premiering at San Francisco's Frameline Festival this June. See the U-Haul video here:

ODD GIRL OUT

I know what you’re thinking. Female musician: some timid little thing singing her pretty, melodic folk songs, strumming her acoustic guitar in a coffee shop. No, wrong. Take that girl and load her up on caffeine. Grow her up on Joan Jett and Letters to Cleo; Hole and Metallica; Led Zeppelin and Heart. Now piss her off: take that acoustic guitar and smash it. Tell her girls can’t play, let alone rock. Push her right up to the edge. Now hand her an electric guitar, crank up the volume, and surround her with a band of the same.
That’s Baltimore-based Odd Girl Out: 4 girls, 60% power-pop, 30% bubblegum-punk, 10% melodic rock, and 100% tired of playing by your rules since 2004. OGO is Tawni on lead vocals, Eva Blackmer on bass guitar and vocals and Selena Benally on guitar and vocals.
Our debut CD, Hurry Up & Wait, is available now! You can purchase tracks here, online from iTunes (as well as variety of other mp3 download sites), get the CD at any show, or purchase a CD online from CDBaby.

Addictive Tragedy

Fierce winters, artsy communities and chicken wings arent the only thing that Buffalo, New York is producing these days. Buffalo was also the birthmother of widely known female duo "Addictive Tragedy". With Sierra Sargent captivating and melting hearts with her insanely vocal tone and Stephanie Oblick making history with her incredibly genius guitar riffs and melodies, these girls are bound to catch your eye.

The band was born in late January 2003. Since then they have gone through several musicians to help fill a full electric band. In late 2007 though, Sierra and Stephanie were the only ones standing, so they decided to hit the ground running as an pop/indie/electronic/acoustic duo. Even though they are now a duo, they have tasted the sweetness of success from the beginning. Addictive Tragedy placed eighth out of sixty four bands competing in the Emergenza International Competition two years in a row. They also have had their past hits "I Am Breaking" and "Everything Our Parents Hate" sky rocket onto the top one hundred charts of unsigned music. They have even even sold merchandise and CD's in Canada, Europe and of course the good ole' United States of America.

Even though these girls give off a very tough appeal, they have hearts of teddy bears. They are currently working with their city in hopes to clean up the streets of Buffalo. There is also plans in the works to aid in helping organizations against domestic violence, finding homes for abandoned children and working in soup kitchens.

As you can see, these girls are headed in the right direction. With an insane electronic/acoustic sound that is so unique it cant be described, they are taking over everyones attention around the globe. They have a CD currently being worked on, new merchandise and they are playing shows all around the country. Keep an eye out for these girls, they are taking off!

ADDICTIVE TRAGEDY ARE PROUD TO BE FEMALE MUSICIANS!

Jenn Stout

A 28 year old self-taught guitarist and singer-songwriter Jenn Stout was born and raised in Louisville, KY. Jenn’s style is unique and powerful with a captivating muse that draws you in and keeps you there. Life’s many trials and tribulations have fueled her passion for music. Music has been her therapy, security, and most of all her happiness. Recently embarking on the public stage Jenn’s sound has captured the attention of many. As genuine as her personality Jenn’s talent is just as pure. She gives emotion a sound during her performances. With eyes closed and the surroundings shut out she recreates all that is within as the lyrics pour into the mic. What appears to be effortless musical creation, one can only describe her talent as meant-to-be. Jenn’s shows are rarely truly over. She can usually be found afterwards playing privately for a group of listeners that just want to hear it one more time! Her dedication and enjoyment can be seen and heard in every note. A performer tugging at your heart strings, Jenn brings a personal touch to the stage that radiates throughout. ----Mandy Lewis

Christine Martucci

“Music is the only thing in my life that, even today, makes me the happiest.” –
Christine Martucci got wrapped up in music at an early age. Born into a musical family, her and her brothers learned to play multiple instruments as kids. She attributes this passion to her father, a trumpet player, and it was this love for music that tightly bonded the family together. “Because of my childhood and being brought up around music,” says Christine, “I learned to appreciate it, to really start listening to the songs, the lyrics, the hooks, the meat and potatoes of a song, what made it unique.” She started writing her own original material when she was nine years old, and she hasn’t stopped since. Christine still cites her father as her biggest influence, but from there she goes on to list a variety of artists she has been taking pointers from for years. Whether it’s classic rock (the Beatles, Bob Dylan), jazz and rhythm and blues (Bessie Smith, Howling Wolf), or Motown (Gladys Knight, Aretha Franklin), she takes the best of all her influences and molds them into a style that is all her own, one that is honest and refreshing, one you can feel as much as you can hear. “I like to describe my music as real, soulful rock and roll,” she says. “It is the same on my CD as you will hear at my live shows. I feel that is very important, to keep the same feel live as you do in the studio. So if you haven’t been to one of my shows, it is a full-blown party of fun and emotion, and 150 percent of me. I never hold back in my live show, because fans deserve the best of me, and I try not to disappoint.” Right now, Christine and her band are putting on shows in support of the sophomore album, I’m All In. They will also be releasing the album’s first single, “There You Are,” to radio before the album hits the streets. “Our ultimate goal is to have a very successful album, to really set a new standard in the industry,” says Christine. “I want to do this for the rest of my life…I guess any one of us just wants to do what we love to do for as long as we can and make a comfortable living doing it.”

Jenny Madison

Jenny Madison's debut, Conversations with Myself is long overdue but yet somehow right on time. With a pocketful of intimate songs, Madison made the move to Nashville. She quietly began making a name for herself as a 'triple-threat' artist that writes, plays and 'sings out' from that deepest part of the body and barest layer of the soul. Her performances bathe the listener in a lyrical wash of imagery that both console and inspire. Madison soon landed a coveted writing deal for the oldest and most prestigious publisher in Nashville, Acuff-Rose. While the experience was a great learning period, she found herself in a position of having to choose between artistry and industry. Fortunately, Jenny has been able to balance both by never neglecting the core of her music. Growing up in Louisville, Kentucky, music was never an ambition or business, but rather a way of life. Madison grew up with that "deep-rooted, in the blood" love for music. She has remained true to the heart of who she is and what she creates, allowing others a glimpse into her soul.

AmyTee

Identified as a rising star by the Boston Globe, Amy Tee is one of the busiest comedians on the New England scene. Her surprising observations and illuminating presence have scored points with mainstream and alternative audiences from Los Angeles to Provincetown, whether she's performing in world famous comedy clubs, theaters, or lesser-known holes in the wall. Her takes on life as a "lesbian in the mainstream" are delivered with a quiet style that belies its edgy content, leading the audience to laughter and nods of agreement. Amy is a regular performer at the Boston Comedy Festival, and audio clips of her performances there have been played on XM Satellite Radio. In 2007, Amy headlined her own show “Tee’Zing her way to the Top” in Provincetown, and was the co-headliner in "Two Dyke Minimum," a standup tour that played in clubs and theaters in six northeast states. She currently stars in the film "Laughing Matters...Next Gen" airing on LOGO.

Chantal Carrere

Chantal Carrere Comic Powerhouse on the Rise After starting her entertainment career as a San Francisco Bay Area radio DJ, Chantal Carrere took the stage and was an immediate sensation. She began performing at the hottest local comedy clubs, but it didn’t stop there. She then went on to earn an unbreakable “perfect score” in the Funniest Female competition in Los Angeles and the title of “Wildcard Finalist” in Laugh Across America in Las Vegas. The SF Bay Times declared that “her timing is flawless.” She is “hands down, one of the funniest female comics out there” according to the East Bay Express. Her comedy has been described as littered with double entendre and shot gun punches and as a fun flirty autobiographical romp. She has often been described as a star on the rise. Staying true to expectations, she went on to appear on national network television on ABC. Most recently she was named one of “The Funniest” Lesbian comedians in America by Curve magazine. She captured 6th place in the “Top Ten Funniest Lesbians” along side notable performers such as Ellen DeGeneres. She was also recently declared 11th in the “One Hundred Women We Love” issue of Go Magazine. Chantal relocated from her native California to Boston where she can be seen performing in clubs and colleges in both the Boston & New York area. She also tours nationally with both the “Five Funny Females” and “Lesbians of Laughter” shows and can be seen on Here TV’s “Hot Gay Comics.”

 Katy Rene from Louisville Ky.

Katy Rene Hessig: I am a singer/songwriter from Louisville KY. My parents bought me a guitar when I was nineteen, and I didn't do much of anything else but play for the next year. I have performed around Louisville and New Orleans for the last 3 years, and I currently play with my brother JonBoy Slim.
