Not that we ever lost faith or anything, Adelaide has always been a particularly fun and responsive city for us and our music. But - Friday night, the city excelled itself and we had the best gig of the Kitten Licks tour so far. A warm and appreciative audience (who wanted to help us out with the lyrics on every song), about a million hi 5s, and a total legend called Paul Turnbull who got on stage and wailed on the sax, without rehearsing the song with us. Genius.

Also, importantly, it was our tightest show. Brisbane was cool, but we were nervous and just rehearsed enough. Dean forgot the drum bit on the end of Ant, I made a few fumbles and it was a little bit "thin-ice" ish there! Sydney was also cool, but we made plenty of fuck-ups each, under the scrutinising cameras all over the damn place. I grabbed the wrong guitar for Gravity, for example.

Friday's show - Kel started Ant when it was time to play Down The Drinker - funny - and Kel and I both forgot the same line in Summertime. Oopsie. But it kinda didn't matter, things were cooking with gas.

I hope everyone who came had a good time, it was lovely to be back. 5 stars.
