Ed Rome's brand new Dub Reggae album "A Life In Minutes" is now out on ROCKERS REVOLT!

The much anticipated debut album 'A Life In Minutes' is available NOW from the Rockers Revolt shop and all good record shops.

TO BUY THE ALBUM CLICK HERE NOW!

Take proper old school dirty Reggae inspired by King Tubby & Studio One and mix it with classic British song writing from the school of Billy Bragg and Ian Dury and you've got something truly unique.

As well as recently being tour support for the 'Easy Star All Stars' (Radiodread/Dub side of the moon), multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Ed Rome has been plying his trade over the years with countless live sessions for the likes of Lee Perry, The Beat and members of The Specials.

His song writing has enabled Ska Band 'The Big' to become a key feature on the underground Ska/Reggae scene, taking him all over the world. Now Ed Rome is venturing out on his own with a superb debut album, 'A Life In Minutes'. This soon to be 'classic' is crammed with heavyweight rhythms, dirty organ, innovative guitar, Jamaican horns all topped with Ed's unique growling vocals and everyday tales.

'A Great Voice' Jerry Dammers (The Specials)

'Quality Old School' Neville Staple (The Specials).

'astoundingly good' and 'hypnotic' (Do The Dog Skazine)

Click the album cover below for Ed Rome's reggae myspace page.

After hammering it for the last three years, and the departure of our Bass player Dave Worsley, The BiG are taking a break for a while. Ed, Bella and Jim will be continuing to play live with BiG Ed's reggae project. The album "A life In Minutes" is soon to be released this year on Rockers Revolt. There will be an ED ROME tour in late October/early November to promote this. There are a few live dates coming up on the flyer below, plus one at The Ironworks, Shrewsbury on Saturday 21st June if you fancy it...

Cheers for all your support over the last few years, and go check the ED ROME myspace by either clicking the flyer, finding him in our top friends or just at www.myspace.com/edromereggae.

Cheers,

The BiG.

Hi all,

should have put this up ages ago! After playing a blinder at The Endorse It In Dorset Festival, we all had a good old knees up drinking more beer, cider, white russians and wine by the bucket load, resulting in lots of jovial merriment, only to find out that Lee Scratch Perry's band had not made it to the festival, so of course we hopped on for an impromptu one hour Reggae/Dub jam with other members of Flipron (cheers Joe from Flipron: http://www.myspace.com/flipron for filling in on our set, as Jonny Keys was away),Bison and The Cracked Actors. We just about pulled it off, and I remember stumbling off the stage afterwards due to an excess of alcohol. Anyway, a kind chapo sent us a few pic's of us on stage with the legend, Lee Sctatch Perry, so here they are.
Cheers and Beers,
Jim BiG.
