Has anyone noticed that anyone who lives in Brooklyn will always list their city as "Brooklyn", whereas peeps in Queens will list their hood as "Astoria", "Forest Hills", "Kew Gardens"...

Yea, that's right!!  I'm not embarassed to write out where I actually live!!!  For those of who really think someone's trying to send you a postcard via myspace, think again!  We know you really live in Sheepshead Bay, or Bushwick, you wanna be hipsters... KEEP IT REAL!!

I'm looking for someone to fill a bedroom in my Astoria Apt.
It's a 3 full bedroom apt, huge living space, full kitchen with breakfast bar.
The bedroom is 11x11, and rent is $660. (won't find this deal ANYWHERE, other than the boogie down, or bed sty!)
The apartment is kitty corner to R/V/G 46th st station. The neighborhood is insanely diverse, complete with loads of shopping and the most diverse restaurants selection within walking distance!

Does anyone ever feel like they are constantly disappointed by their friends?  ...in a general slump today because I feel like I'm constantly reading between the lines, feeling my "friends" out and their "commitments", and just generally miss the "real" people from home. 

I'm beginning to think that maybe my expectations are just too high for my friends... maybe everyone has a specific role to play in everyone's lives, and everyone can't be the loyal/ trustworthy one.... maybe some are just meant for dinner outings, or bs'ing about how great work's going, and shopping... Maybe some spring cleaning is in order.  But do people actually do that?!?!?

All I know is that it IS important, that one day I'm listed under someone's "in case of emergency" field... that I know that I can be counted on for something, and by someone.

Somehow I'm going through slow withdrawal from Miami.... yesterday my ears were plugged all night and I kept hearing drums and bass behind certain noises... make it stop!
 
I almost miss the sh1tty modified pontiacs with their panels about to bust off, because "pimp daddy" thought it's ok to put a system made for a humvee in it... the buildings that look fabulous at night and dilapidated at day... the girls with 5" platforms on the beach and boobs that just look plain painful... and let's not forget jackoff Mr. Beckford for not wanting to take a pic with his #1 fan... LOL! (ok, i'll take responsibility for that one!)

Yea... I'm over it.  One thing though... I do love Miami House!!!!  HOLLA!!!

Today counts as the 7th break down of my cellie, and the loss of my precious address book!  I even bought a stupid phonebook to write down my numbers after the 5th breakdown, and that clearly hasn't gotten me far, since I will be mass emailing everyone tomorrow to send me their numbers...

NOW the big test... I'll know who my friends are when I get a call in 2007 from certain someones, wondering why I haven't called in a year... hmmmm.

Woke up about two hours ago with hazey recollections of the night... I think this has been the first time I was chased INTO the VIP room!  Very very angry bouncer... very frightening.  And who's Meno, and why does he invite strangers over to his home for afterhours?  Eric, I thought that was YOUR friend.... Now I'm going to try and recover for the next couple hours, so I can try and get my butt out again .

Thanks to.... for coming to my guest bartending gig yesterday!  You guys are the best!  It was just a shame that I was so d@mn sober... boo.
