New music to check out... finally Hey everyone,
Just sending some love your way for those of you still sticking around. Several members from Pennington have moved on to new projects that any of you still fond of the pennington style of music, or similarly, should check out:
Steve, the former guitar player, has his own band now called the Hearts. They have some great melodic rock songs that you can dance to! Seriously, it really moves and it hits hard. They are currently recording more songs and playing shows in the Northeast Ohio region. Definately check them out at
http://www.myspace.com/theheartsSimeon, the former bass player, has started a little project called "Lilac." If your up for some more chilled out, ambient, meldodic stuff, then you'd really enjoy Sim's stuff. Right out of the vein of Ryan Adams and a mixture of Coldplay, and some other folk rock bands, its a very nice blend. Very balanced and very memorable with catchy melodies and melacholy lyrics. You can check out Sim's stuff at
http://www.myspace.com/lilacmusicJesse, the former lead singer and guitar player of pennington is currently finishing his new EP/album (not sure yet depends on how many songs he gets done while he's also in grad school) and it should be available on Amazon, iTunes, etc, in the next coming months. Thought we would give you a heads up in the meantime. One of the songs on the upcoming album is posted on our site already (Find my way Home) to give you a taste. As you can tell, the music has evolved a bit, but still retains the same types of melody's, lyrics, and guitar tones that pennington fans came to love. You really won't be disappointed. We will post bulletins when the release draws near and try to get in touch with everyone.
Pennington may be over, but the music lives on. Tell your friends and keep in touch, thank you.
All the best,
Pennington
