Worldwide Brands Free, Opt-in Newsletter "Starting an Antiques and Collectibles EBiz How to Find, Buy, and Market Antiques Online FEATURED COMMENTARY By Chris Malta Founder and CEO of Worldwide Brands Inc Home of The Drop Ship Source Directory Home EBiz Product Sourcing Expert Antiques and collectibles are big business—on eBay, the collectibles category alone had a gross merchandise value of over $2 billion dollars last year just in the second quarter. The e-commerce boom has only fueled the industry—sellers are no longer limited to local audiences, and buyers are no longer limited to local dealers. You can find things that you'd never run across in your lifetime, from people all over the world. Buying or selling online isn't really that different from buying or selling in a brick-and-mortar store—people want the same type of information and need to ask the same questions. Pam Wiggins of ChicAntiques.com suggests numerous learning resources for someone who wants to get into the antiques business but knows nothing about it: • Use the internet—there are lots of great websites, such as Antiques.About.com. • Read books on antiques and collectibles. • Join various online collecting groups. Says Wiggins, "You're going to learn a whole lot in a short period because you're interacting with other people who are very experienced. They will answer your questions." • Attend actual shows and ask questions about items that interest you or that you'd like to learn more about. Wiggins recommends, "I think it's a good to…get your footing in one or two areas, then branch out and start learning about other things…There's so much to learn [that] I think it builds your confidence if you can feel like you know a lot about one thing." Choose a narrow specialty—don't try to become an expert in a really broad category like "dolls" or "glass." Instead, specialize in "depression glass" or "carnival glass". How to Get the Best Prices When Buying and Selling Becoming knowledgeable in an area enables you to recognize a bargain and estimate what different pieces will go for in different markets. When buying, Wiggins suggests, "Don't be shy about asking for a discount. In the antiques business, it's not only accepted, but it's expected, so do ask for that." People that know you're buying to resell will usually take that into consideration. When selling, remember reserves don't always work well in the antiques business. If you feel confident a piece will bring a good price, you may want to start the bid fairly low. However, if you've invested a lot in your wares, you may opt to start the bid with the price you're wanting. Always keep in mind what the market will bear and look at the completed items to get an idea of what you can expect. It's important to have a good photo and description—post shots from multiple views, and if there's any kind of authentication mark, be sure to get that as well. People will want to know the age, quality, and condition, as well as any flaws that might affect the value. If a piece is extremely rare or expensive, you may want to consider having it appraised. However, items worth even $1,000 aren't usually considered worth the expense of a written appraisal. If you have no idea of the value of an item, you can submit a photo to What'sItWorthToYou.com, and for $9.95 they'll give you an assessment of it's value and answer your questions. __________________________________ To Your Success, and Have A Great Day Sweetblu-aka Kate The Drop Ship Source Directory

I ran across this interesting article the other day and felt it was important and valuable information to share..So with that all said, enjoy the article by Doug Luthringer directley below, I hope you find it useful. Kate :-) **********************
You will need to develop trust and credibility to be successful, not only on eBay but in your business life as well. Trying to build a trusting relationship with someone you've never even talked to is extremely difficult, and this is what you will have to do when selling on eBay. I will cover many ways to develop trust throughout this book, but I will hit on a few simple ways to quickly become a credible source of information in this section. The first is as easy as choosing an appropriate eBay User ID. If you are selling wedding accessories, your eBay User ID should not be crazyjoe_3568. This is not the type of place most people would want to shop at for their wedding. Now if your eBay User ID is YourDay or WeddingAccessories, people are much more likely to trust your products and service over crazyjoe_3568. If people are more likely to trust you, they will be more willing to bid higher for your items.
The lesson here is that the first impression is the most important and to be honest in all your business ventures. If you are comfortable with yourself and the business you operate, then knowing that you provide a high level of service and professionalism will lead others to believe in you also. You might get banged around a little at times, but hold your head high and things will work out for the better. And don't forget, crazyjoe_3568 will have a hard time selling much of anything unless it's CRAZY!
About the Author Doug Luthringer is a certified eBay education specialist who has taught more than 150 students The Basics of eBay Selling course and The Advanced eBay Selling Techniques course. He has been selling on eBay for nearly six years and has completed over 1800 eBay transactions and has over 1150 unique positive comments with no negative feedback. Doug has also been invited to be a guest speaker to talk about how to sell on eBay and the use of Google Ad ************************

Hey good folks,
Hope this finds you all well and happy... Other then the fact that I have a nasty head cold the past few days, life has been very good.. and I can continue to work on my sites a bit.....I hope you have had a chance to view the first two seo videos. As now its time for video three. whooohooooo.
Brad and Andy do it again, with their usual style and flare of making us want to learn even more...I think I am most impressed with the fact that even if you are new to the web, marketing, and seo (search engine optimization) these two fellows have a great way we all can understand the stratigies, and actually use these stratigies in our ecommerce websites. If you want your website to be noticed on the first pages or two of a search engine, and most of us do I am sure, and not back some where on page one billion and hundered thousand then really take note of these videos...The long term of these stratigies really go a long way, in all sorts of ways we need our sites to be viewed by the search engines, and how we can convert our efforts into increasing our sale conversions, gaining clients, and keeping them coming back I don't know about you but I would like my site viewed for more then a few or so main keywords, but for many, many, and many keyword phrases.. So if this is what your into, the videos are a must see. :-)
All of these are ethical ways to improve our sites..So please dont get caught up in the lets decieve the search engines just to make a fast buck, they are smart and you will be found, and a lot of times, clean dumped out of the search engines.... It never pays to try unethical tactics or decietful stratigies in the long run....I know I have a friend that thought he would try a sutel quickee way, not really intending to be decietful or unethical, well the google god busted him and said hmmm this appears a bit fishy... He soon found his site was totally gone and banned.. He ended up having to pay for a new web host and site name url and had to start all over again.
I have already employed some of these new stratigies on my own websites, and now anxiously await the outcome.. I am trying to apease all the search engine gods. Google being my main objective, but not my sole. All the major search engines are very important to me..
Ok enough of my ramblins, its now time to put out the goods...
In this next video,
This is what Brad Fallon And Andy Jenkins cover:
-3 major Conversion increasing strategies, one with 10 specific tactics that have already been tested.
-How to control your customers click activity by guiding them to specific areas on your page with the controlled use of images and text.
-The BBB - Is it a scam or will it increase sales?
-Do you need to answer your phone to make money?
-Hollywood-Style SEO.
-Turning 8 keywords into 8,000 RELEVANT keyword phrases.
And more...
Once again, Brad and Andy want you to know as well as I do, there's no opt-in, no cost, no obligation - free to all.
Please enjoy the videos with Brad and Andys most sincere compliments!
Click Here For Video Three You will find here also the first two videos.
Let me know how all goes for you and your ecommerce sites. Please feel free to leave any comments, good or bad, or if you have a question etc... Happy to help if I can... :-) I believe you will find these to be some of the most very best and useful seo stratigies ever to be found on the worldwide web.
To your success,
Happy Surfing And Have a Great Day.

In order to do business with a REAL Wholesale Suppler, you will need to supply a "Sales Tax ID number".
This is called different things in different states in the US, but the reason you need it is simple. REAL Wholesaler Suppliers are not going to charge you any tax on the products they ship to your customer. At the end of the year, they have to show the IRS why they did NOT charge you that tax.
Your "Sales Tax ID number" proves that YOU are collecting sales tax on your customers' purchases. The general rule is that you only collect sales tax on the products shipped to addresses in the state where your business resides, but you should check to be sure how this is done in your own state.
The Wholesale Supplier keeps a copy of your "Sales Tax ID number" on file, so that they are not liable for the tax on the products shipped to your customers.
Every state has a web site listing information about the tax rules in that state, and where you can obtain your "Sales Tax ID number". Follow the link to Worldwide Brands Free Resource Center. You will see a list of articles. Getting Started article will take you to the information. You will be able to click on your home state listed on that page, and get the tax laws and information you need to operate your ebiz. . Free Resource Center & E-business Information

At times I have wandered over to the online site of the Judson Center to look at the pics, see what is new, and how things have progressed thru time. Being a happy resident of the childrens home for a few years as a youngster, it was fun and interesting to find it online. I would go over to the history page, and read the history of the BCH and view a beautiful pic they had up of the home. I could see my old bedroom window and it would bring back so many great memories for me.
About three weeks or so ago, I surfed on over to look at the history page only to discover the pic of the home had changed to a pic of children. I went hmmm my heart fell a sec till it dawned on me the familier looking little girl in the new pic was me. whoohoo, and my little sis Suzi and some other children who look familier but darn if I can remember names. To make this long story a bit shorter I contacted the home to let them know the pic was myself and sister.
I was contacted a couple of weeks later via telephone from a wonderful women named Kristine, who is in charge of the news letter and history. She asked me If she could interview me, and post my story in the upcoming Judson Center newletter. I was thrilled to hear from her, and whole heartedly agreed to an interview. What you read below is from the interview along with a bit of the history of the home I decided to add. Oh the pic just below is the Old Detroit Baptist Childrens Home. This picture is from around 1964-65 I think. If any one surfs thru and has been a resident please I would love to hear from you, especially if you were a resident there in the early 60's. I am about 7 and Suzi five in the pic below? I am wearing the girl scout dress of some sort, I loved the hat and the yellow bow. My little sis is the dark haired little cute girl wearing a checkerd coat and red hat, or scarf next to me. She was wearing her favorite blue dress that day. She remembers me tying the pretty blue bow in the back for her. I sort of remember that too... :-)....

Start of interview story directly below
Looking Back on History . . .
Judson Center alumni tells her story
Kate Hansen and her four siblings came from an abusive home. Her mother had a mental illness and so was unable to properly care for the children even in the everyday tasks like bathing and feeding and her father was very abusive. In 1963, Kate and her siblings were taken from the home and were split up. Kate, and her younger sister Sandra, came to live at the Judson Center then called the Detroit Baptist Childrens Home when she was just 6 years old and her sister was 4. It was at this home that they finally received the love and security they needed to flourish.
When asked what it was like to live at the Detroit Baptist Childrens Home, Kate said that the home was always full of laughter, warmth and love. The children had wonderful house mothers who always gave them hugs, taught them to cook, how to take care of themselves and to use proper manners. Kate remembered that every summer she and the other children had a chance to go on many fun outings, swim, attend day camp and go to church on Sundays. During her stay at the home, her social worker, Miss Weedon, was able to get Kate a much-needed eye surgery to fix her severely crossed eyes.
Our memories living at the Baptist Childrens Home are some of my fondest and safest feelings I can remember. We always felt safe and secure. We knew we were not going to be hurt or be hungry. We knew there were people who smiled, who were happy, who liked us and would give us a hug when we needed it, said Kate.
In 1966, when Kate was 9 years old, her social worker, Miss Weedon, came to tell her and Sandra that they were going to be adopted by Grant and Harriet Washburn. This was a happy occasion, but also a sad one, because Kate loved her social worker and the Detroit Baptist Childrens home so much that it was hard to leave. They were wonderful adoptive parents, said Kate. Every year they would celebrate the date of my sister and Is adoption.
Recently, Kate discovered the whereabouts of her four siblings and has been reunited with three out of four of them. All three of her siblings live in Michigan. Kate has been married for 34 years, lives in Mineral, Washington and has 4 children. She enjoys her job as an affiliate marketer utilizing the internet to sell products.
Overall, Kate credits the Judson Center for giving her a better life and a brighter future. After reviewing Judson Centers website, she was pleased to find out that Judson Centers mission continues to live on for generations to come.
If it hadnt been for the Baptist Childrens Home, I do not know where I would be today, expressed Kate as she struggled to hold back her tears of joy.
If you are a Judson Center alumnus and would like to share your story with our readers, please contact Kristine Schultz at kristine_schultz@judsoncenter.org.
End of interview story above....
(a footnote from Kate about the above) I have discovered many other siblings that share the same father as I and Suzi, (Sandra) but also they have different mamas. The family unit on my mama and dads is five of us. three sisters and 2 brothers. Those brothers are still be searched for. In the mean time the oldest child in the family is my brother Bruce who is busy finding us all. lol.. He has a different mama then I do... But we are all family and love each other. I just wanted to mention that. It is Bruce who never gave up to find all of us. He is wonderful..... J.C. Helton has a lot of us kids floating around by the sounds of it, lol...so come on if your a Helton, or think you might be, dont be shy, we are looking for you. Its time to come home.. There is a lot of love to go around and give you ..

Thru the many years I have been online and participating in e-mail, I have recieved this cute little piece several times. I feel the need to share this. So if you love animals, own animals, or your animals own you! This should put a smile on your face, warmth into your heart, and an urgent need to go claim your plate of supper. . If you are not a lover of the 4 legged furry creatures, well hmmmmmm, your loss. :-) Enjoy.
Thanks to my friend Carol for sending me this. I love this one. And How True. :-)
To be posted VERY LOW on the refrigerator door - nose height.
Dear Dogs and Cats,
The dishes with the paw print are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Please note, placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.
The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Beating me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help because I fall faster than you can run.
I cannot buy anything bigger than a king sized bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to ensure your comfort. Dogs and cats can actually curl up in a ball when they sleep. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out the other end to maximize space is nothing but sarcasm.
For the last time, there is not a secret exit from the bathroom. If by some miracle I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob or get your paw under the edge and try to pull the door open. I must exit through the same door I entered. Also, I have been using the bathroom for years --canine or feline attendance is not required.
The proper order is kiss me, then go smell the other dog or cat's butt. I cannot stress this enough!
To pacify you, my dear pets, I have posted the following message on our front door:
To All Non-Pet Owners Who Visit & Like to Complain About Our Pets:
1. They live here. You don't. 2. If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. (That's why they call it "fur"niture.) 3. I like my pets a lot better than I like most people. 4. To you, it's an animal. To me, he/she is an adopted son/daughter who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly.
Remember: Dogs and cats are better than kids because they:
1. Eat less 2. Don't ask for money all the time 3 Are easier to train 4. Normally come when called 5. Never ask to drive the car 6. Don't hang out with drug-using friends 7. Don't smoke or drink 8. Don't have to buy the latest fashions 9. Don't want to wear your clothes 10. Don't need a gazillion dollars for college, and... 11. If they get pregnant, you can sell their children.
AMEN AND AMEN!
Happy Surfing And Have a Great Day.

A river overflowing with resources
Internet Marketing can get very lonely at times.
Many of us spend hours in front of a screen, typing away, building websites, blogging, writing that "killer ad" and the likes.
Unlike other jobs and carreers that most people have, most of our comrads live clear accross the country, or world for that matter. If you go to the bar to unwind at the end of the day, like I do some nights, you leave your co workers when you shut down your computer. Most folks at the bar have no idea what you do, And if you do bring it up, you usually get the usual "I hate computers" speech, the guy accusing you of the last twelve thousand viagra ads in his email box, or the jack-ass that wants to go into business with you, but, rarely anyone that understands anything about what you do for a living.
What am I getting at? An often overlooked alternative, and a great place to connect with others of our kind. Discussion Forums.
Not only can discussion forums be a great way to meet others in your niche or industry, but also, a great place to learn what you don't know, a place to share with others what you do know, a great source of traffic, a place to ask questions, a place where you can get technical help, and much more.
Recently, I have been putting down the eBooks, forgetting about the 6 seconds to millionaire courses, and lurking about in Affiliate and Internet Marketing Forums. I have found that these can be much more valuable than any course or eBook, and they come with built-in instructors, many of them.
A week ago, I had a problem with some scripting on my website. After posing the question in one of my favorite forums, My problem was solved by a fly-by poster who knew more about _javascript than I ever care to, within about an hour. I have also found, through posts in these forums, many helpful marketing tips. Unlike any eBook, posts in forums are always fresh.
When it comes to my favorite forums, I visit and post in many, but two of them really stick out above the rest.... Self Starters Weekly Tips (http://selfstartersweeklytips.com/) and eWealth Affiliate Hangout. (http://dropshippers-directory.com/ewealth.htm)
Self Starters Weekly Tips is a great forum created by marketing expert Lynn Terry. It contains many sub catagories that blanket just about every facet of internet marketing, including affiliate marketing, the basics of selling online, search engine optimization, copywriting and sales letters, networking, market research and many other topics that are valuable to both the new and the seasoned internet marketer. The folks that frequent this forum are both newbies and experts in the realm of selling online, and this is a high traffic forum, so questions posed here get answered quickly.
Another great thing about this forum, is that if you are a member of this forum, you are allowed to advertise your business in your signature. This can be a real treat if you are building a downline, and I have seen quite a bit of traffic coming from some of the more heated threads. (Of course posting just to get your link there in any forum is frowned upon, but as a member who is contributing to the value of the forum, this can be an enriching bonus.)
Lynn also provides other areas of the site such as weekly marketing tips, free resources, product reviews, and a personal marketing blog that is always interesting. I am constantly spending hours in this forum!
The eWealth Affiliate Hangout is another great forum but is geared to those who are affiliate marketers. Topics at this forum include affiliate program discussion, web design, and individual forums for all of the individual affiliate stations like clickbank, commission junction, linkshare and the rest. What makes this forum unique is that you get paid to refer others to this free forum, and you get rewards for posting. This is also a high traffic forum. Wow!! I've heard of bad ass virus's before but this one beats all. Major Virus âEWARE!!
If you receive an email entitled:
"Bedtimes" delete it IMMEDIATELY.
Do not open it. Apparently this one is pretty nasty. It will not only erase everything on your hard drive, but it will also delete anything on disks within 20 feet of your computer. It demagnetizes the stripes on ALL of your credit cards. It reprograms your ATM access code, screws up the tracking on your VCR, and uses subspace field harmonics to scratch any CD's you attempt to play. It will program your phone auto dial to call only 0898 numbers. This virus will mix antifreeze into your fish tank.
IT WILL CAUSE YOUR TOILET TO FLUSH WHILE YOU ARE SHOWERING. It will drink ALL your beer. FOR GOD'S SAKE, ARE YOU LISTENING?
It will leave dirty underwear on the coffee table when you are expecting company. It will replace your shampoo with Nair and your Nair with Rogaine. If the "Bedtimes" message opened in a Windows 95/98 environment, it will leave the toilet seat up and leave your hair dryer plugged in dangerously close to a full bathtub. It will not only remove the forbidden tags from your mattresses and pillows, it will also refill your skim milk with whole milk.
WARN AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN. ***
And if you don't send this to 5000 people in 20 seconds, you'll fart so hard that your right leg will spasm and shoot straight out in front of you, sending sparks that will ignite the person nearest you.
Send this warning to everyone!!!
THERE'S A LOT OF SADNESS IN THE WORLD!!
Right now, as you read this, 17 Million people are having SEX!!!
And look at you - you're on the computer! See! It's already started!
Happy Surfin To All, Kate ;-0 The Drop Ship Source Directory
