Howdy folks,
I have a lot of things going on right now, and rather than bug you with dozens of little notices, I'm putting most of it into one newslettery-type format. Now that I think about it, I'll also probably bug you all about the bigger stuff later. I'm lame like that.

First off, you can finally order our popular t-shirts from Nerfect.com. We have two currently in stock, Diabolical Hot Dog With Switchblade and Nice Trick. It took us a while, but we have them in stock, so order yours today!

I' ve also teamed-up with Sheriff Peanut to create the Magic Duckie onsie. If you have a baby or you are an infant, you should probably order one of these right away.

I have been drawing pictures for each and every day of the week going on five years now. The latest series is called 4x6x365 ' 09, and guess who just added seven new drawings to the collection? Yes, that' s right, me! You can see the latest pieces starting with this one.

I also have a bunch up on Flickr. You can see my latest work (that I haven' t been able to get up on this site yet) and shots from recent travels.

Mark your calendars! I'm in a group art show called Poop Yer Nerfect Pants at Mostly Gallery, Saturday, March 28 from 7 - 11pm. The gallery is located at 1619 W. Julian #1, Chicago, Illinois. After March 28, the show is by appointment only.

I also have a solo show at Fly Bird which runs Saturday, April 25 to Sunday, May 24. There is an opening reception on April 25 from 7-10pm. Fly Bird is located at 719 Lake St., Oak Park, Illinois.

Finally, It has come to my attention that I' m a pretty lousy self-promoter. Unless you just stumble across my website, how are you going to know what is going on in the world of Nerfect? Well, if it is a big thing like a new t-shirt or art show, I will spread the word via my MySpace and Facebook profiles.

Well, that is it for now. Later skaters.

Current mood:tired, so f'ing tired
I was about to head off to bed, but then I came across this entry on Archie McPhee's blog:

Link New Products for 2009!

Maybe it's just me, or does that fellow on the left seem familiar?

My Diabolical Hot Dog character has been very popular, I can barely keep up with the demand, and the shirt on Threadless.com has done very well and exposed a lot more folks to my work. The one thing I've always wanted to do is to produce a Diabolical Hot Dog figure loaded with weapons and basically, give the people what they want, but being a rather small enterprise, I haven't been able to pull it off yet.

Now, I think the thing that really ticks me off about this, and that is keeping me awake, is that if the folks at McPhee had at least dropped me a line, I'd probably jump at the opportunity to putting out a figure, but they chose to put out a knock off.

Now, I understand that they might not ever have run across my site, but that Threadless shirt has been everywhere, and it isn't too crazy to think that someone at McPhee saw it and was "inspired" by it, but still McPhee, you couldn't call?

Howdy friends!

It is your old pal, Mr. Walters here with some exciting news. I will have a few pieces (about 290) at a two-day open studio and video show here in Chicago.

The show is called "Nothing to do With a Red Pick-up Truck" at The Underscene, and it runs Friday, October 17 (7pm-12am) and Saturday, October 18 (7pm-12am.) The Underscene is located at 2215 S. Union (near the intersection of W. Cermak and S. Halsted) in Chicago. More details can be reviewed at: theunderscene.com.

The work that I will be showing is a series called "4 x 6 x 366 '08", which is made up of the 4" x 6" drawings that I having been drawing one a day for the entire year. Every drawing I have done up until the day of the show will be on display to view in person.

It should be an interesting event and I hope you all can make it out. There is going to be a lot of great work on display.

Nerfectly yours,

Mr. Walters

nerfect.com

P.S. I will be providing awkward hugs at the event completely free of charge.

Constructor went really well for us yesterday. We met a lot of great people and had a fun time. The only sad thing was that we ran out on a few certain sizes of our new t-shirts we had at the show, so if you've come to this site because of that, please drop us an e-mail and let us know who you are and what sizes and designs you were interested in. We're organizing things for a couple other shows, so we'll be reprinting shirts soon and will contact you when the shirts are freshly printed. We'll probably be putting up a few, one-of-a-kind things up on our Etsy shop soon, so please keep checking the site out for when that happens. Most of all, I'd like to thank everyone who came out to support local artists and craftspeople, all the great vendors, and Norah and Julia for putting the whole thing together. It was a blast!
