One of the coolest places to play- Eddie's Attic in Decatur, Georgia. If you ever have a chance to go, check this place out. www.eddiesattic.com. I recently played and had a phenomanal time. Sugarland just recently performed there and John Mayer made a name winning the Open Mic Shootout in his underground days. I posted a song live from the Attic, "Heart".

Reg, I can't thank you enough.
from Reg of Reg's Coffee House Thanks to up and coming Birmingham singer-songwriter, Ryan Kinder, for stopping by the Reg's Coffee House Live studio and showing why many heads in our fair city are turning when this 18 year old high schooler hits the stage. Two-A-Days isn't the only thing coming out of Hoover High School. maybe if MTV was more music telivison and less reality telivision, they would have heard his soulful voice and tasty guitar when they were on campus filming and broken an artist like it used to do instead of feeding the dumbing down of our society. Keep an eye on this kid. He's a good one.ryankinder.com or myspace.com/ryankinder peace, Reg
stay well, rk

Funny how one word can make you re-think your life as a whole. Whats led up to this, and what moved you to say what you did at that point in time. Could i have saved myself, or is this a revalation i am supposed to endure. Though the recipient of the comment might have shaken it off, or have forgotten about it.....i cant seem to. Maybe small to someone else, but in my mind i've just stepped on a land mine. Clearly visible avoidable and detectable, yet i step anyway. Not out of spite but ignorance to my surroundings and hearts of others. One in particular. A horrifying moment in time brought back by a word coming from my mouth. Almost in the shape of a knife, reopening something that should have been forever dormant, at peace, and gone. Its sad how one word can make or break the mood, a mindset, a day even. What am i to learn of this? Shut up every once and awhile? be careful, think more? Some ask why i like John Mayer so much. The guitar playing aside, its his lyricism. "My stupid mouth" was the first song i heard and this "incident" i blabbered on about happened there after. And so, i caught the bug

A legend in the Birmingham music scene. He's been uncovering the underground, honest, soulful and real music of our realm for 8 years. In his bio; "Scott Register has been described as laid back, tuned in, honest and respected. A man who knows his music. He is certainly all that. He is also, admittedly, just a guy who loves music. And most impressively, a guy who has transformed his enthusiasm for music into a viable, exciting career." I am extremely excited to say i have been invited to appear on his radio show on WRAX Bimingham's 100.5. Not too long ago I was sitting in Scotts office playing some of my stuff for him, Don VanCleave and his daughter, Allison VanCleave. Maybe an epiphany is cliche' but it was nothing short of it. They gave me tips and guidelines to what I needed to work on in the near future. I took them to heart and with the help of my family and close friends am doing my best to make it work. Scott attended City Stages in the streets of downtown Birmingham to hear the first performance with me and the new band. Honestly, that was the defining moment I knew I wanted to pursuit this with all God gave me. After the show Scott came up to me and said, "Great job, we need to talk later." After i picked up my jaw, i shook his hand and managed to mumble a "thank you". So, the story continues. Tune in Sunday morning September 10th to hear the show. Much love.
