So I'm sitting on the couch last night catching up on a bunch of shows that I missed this previous week. One of my absolute favorite shows right now is The Unit. If you haven't seen it, go rent all of the seasons. In the last scene of the season finale, I'm kind of halfway paying attention, and something catches my ear. Of course it's the music playing behind the scene. It's dark, yet light, it's deep, yet shallow, it's...get my point yet? It makes me feel very uncomfortable, tense, somewhat disturbed, and yet somewhat comforted, all at the same time. So I immediately start browsing the web and start typing in lyrics in google, while i keep rewinding the DVR several times just to listen to this ridiculously well written song. After about an hour or so of searching, I couldn't find out who this artist was. It's about 1:30 am and decide it's best I go to bed, I got things to do at 7a.m. About 2 o'clock rolls around and I'm laying in bed. One of my biggest pet peeves is not knowing who an artist is, it's almost as though I need to know them by figuring out who they are and buying the album. I begin my search throughout this thing we call the internet machine. And Boom, I found it! Her name is Sonya Kitchell. Her songs are amazing, I'm begging you, please listen to this tune!
