We recorded with Allen Bergendahl this past weekend and couldn't be happier with the results. Wow! Gabe came in as producer and helped make all this happen as well. Thanks Allen and Gabe!!!

from my personal blog:
Last Friday we had a show at Velocity Comics (woo hoo!) with a band called Cowalker with whom we'd traded shows. We scheduled them here, and we'd be headed up to Reading, PA with them the next night. Triple Twins were our first choice to add to the Velocity Comics show, and to our excitement were available! Last minute Patrick at Velocity added Richard Kelly to the bill, to preview his upcoming movie.
The new Velocity Comics space is nice and the show was lots of fun. We were all happily impressed by the music of Cowalker, and also impressed by their impecable manners. They couldn't crash in Richmond though due to an early morning errand in Pennsylvania, but I did get some fottage of them playing (below). Triple Twins played and were totally amazing. Of course they packed out the place. It was my favorite set of theirs I've seen! It sounded great and was definitely 'on'. I caught many of their songs on video as well. They have a 7" coming out soon and I can't wait to get a copy!
Right before our set there were all these Christians outside yelling at the people gathered at the show. It was weird, Phil and Oura kind of got caught up in it. I have nothing against Christians, but I must say these folks were being rude. We don't get together and all go yell at the people collecting outside of church about how when they die they will disappear, and we expect that when we're gathered somewhere we're not going to be told we're going to hell. Anyhow, we played and were pretty sloppy. Everyone seemed to like us, but it just didn't feel that great and it was hard to distinguish what the problems were. However, we had the next day to look forward to!
The drive up North was nice, and the show in Reading was awesome. The sound system was great and we could hear everything that was going on. We were so tight, and I was so happy with our set. Cowalker also sounded huge. It was fun rocking out with them. We also met the guys from Movies with Heroes, who were all really nice. I chatted with the drummer Jeremy about a commercial they'd taped for an organization called AIDS. CARE NOW. They live in Lancaster and Jeremy knows Allen Clements; I thought that was great!
Anyway we hung out with Cowalker the rest of the night. Steph (super roadie) helped them load up and we drove to Lancaster where Patrick (Cowalker) and his super awesome girlfriend Amy live. Amy is vegan and Patrick may or may not be straight-edge(?), but yeah they were cool people to be around and hang out with. Justin (Cowalker) also hung out at the house for a good long while. And there was the tiniest most adorable kitten in the bathroom too. We crashed out strewn about their cute little house and in the morning they directed us to a nice little cafe called Wish You Were Here. The drive home was too much traffic, and we were cranky, but whatever, it was worth it!

So we played Nanci Raygun on Saturday night...
Prabir opened with an acoustic set, and his friend Erin sang with him. He's such a great song writer and their voices were so beautiful together. It really was quite awesome. Acoustic sets can be so mediocre, if not boring, but Prabir can pull it off quite well.
We played next and we had so many friends out it made us feel really good before we got started. Thanks so much!! We made some adjustments to our amp volumes, learning from our last Nanci Raygun experience a couple weeks ago and it sounded really good this time! We played the longest set we've played as a band (7 songs at about 30 minutes) including one completely new one which went over very well. Everything felt really great!
I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness played last and they were really pretty. Kind of like Interpol with some Cure in there, maybe some Appleseed Cast and other stuff, whatever. Anyway we enjoyed it! We met some of them and they were nice dudes; good luck to them!

We played Blacksburg Saturday and it was fucking awesome.
The drive down was a nice one. We got in town early enough to grab a bite at a sports bar and watch the Redskins almost come back from behind. We promptly went to Ian and April's house to hang out with dogs and unload our equipment. We socialized with the locals and generally had a nice time.
A Fine Line played and were a fun group. They played a nice little New Order cover. Next, The Two Funerals played and fucking rocked our socks off. Seriously, all of our socks went flying off and were never to be found again. What happened to those socks? Anyway, they were super fun with lots of raw heart and neato songs. Plus they had funny stories about jack-asses being sexist toward them (they're an all girl band). They did a Sleater-Kinney cover that ruled, and there original material was awesome too.
When we got started on our set there was so much positive energy in the room, thanks to the awesome people who were there, our awesome hosts, and the awesome set The Two Funerals had just played. We let it rip and it ripped big. Probably one of our sloppier sets, but that was ok cause it just felt so right. All of us fucked up at one point or another, but it really didn't matter, it just flowed together into one big positive blast.
After the last band and everyone left, we danced with Ian and April to 80's style dance songs like Michael Jackson and Flock of Seagulls and whatnot. Exhausted we passed out like sardines in the living room. (Do sardines pass out hard? I hope so.) In the morning, Ian and April served us up an amazing vegan breakfast. Holy shit that hit the spot!

Damn, you know I really meant to keep up with this and do one for every show, but I'm just not quite anal enough. Believe it or not!!! Really!
Still, we are having a blast in this band, exspecially now that Oura joined in the fun!

We played at a teen center in Baltimore. It was such a good time. Everyone listened attentively and all the bands were so different. It was a blast! One kid came up to us afterwards and said we were the best band to ever play there. Wow, thanks!

We had a really fun time playing Alison's basement. It was Now Sleepyhead, Shapiro, The Silent Press, and then Our Stable Violent Star. Our Stable Violent Star were kind enough to supply the PA. Everyone was really nice and all the bands rocked. Shapiro were brilliant as always and The Silent Press were loud and beautiful. Woo hoo!
