This is a very rough demo of a little tune I wrote in January in Los Angeles at Dan Lanois place.

It's kinda a funny story.. I was playing a bit on the piano trying to entertain myself when Dan came up and asked "what's that melody?" I said "dunno ,just fuckin around a bit" He went out for a coffee and said "try to make a song out of that by the time I get back"... I was kinda freaked out, and him saying that made me a little insecure but it definitely was a challenge ..

Anyways we recorded a demo of it the next morning lucky enough that Brian came in..

"Pieces- Anywhere I go.."

Brian Blade on drums
Daniel Lanois on lapsteel
Trixie Whitley- keys, bass pedal, vocals ,lyrics

Let me know your thoughts...
I'm grateful-

ps:I don't normally do this but I'm going to post the lyrics to this song as some of you have been asking for them..

In the graveyard of modern days
the sensual touch is
all that remains
you blew the fragile grace
on my skin and, in my face

*chorus
Leaving pieces behind, anywhere I go
Every time I go
I'm leaving behind my soul
Leaving pieces of mine, everywhere I go
Braking in to pieces every time I grow

Constant dozing
The rose of the mind flow
Emptiness is always on the go
Gliding in the mirrors
Gathering the symptoms
of all we have
And all we don't know

*chorus
Leaving pieces behind, anywhere I go
Every time I go
I'm leaving behind my soul
Leaving pieces of mine, everywhere I go
Braking in to pieces every time I grow

Current mood:  calm
Well, I'm not to good at this blogging thing but I'll give it a try ;)
First of all I'd like to thank all of you so much for all the really sweet messages & comments since I joined this (freaky little) cyberworld! And really sorry to all those who I haven't responded to and may have wondered why. It usually really just has to do with a lack of time... But it does really mean a lot, I never actually thought my little unfinished demo's would reach out to so many of you guys... And it's really nice to know how my music can reach people in such a way even at the beginning stage my tunes still are at.

Anyways, a lot of you have been asking  where to buy my record or when it will come out. Here's the answer:
I don't have anything out yet and have nothing for sale at this moment. I have been taking my time to develope but will be releasing an EP or something very soon for you guys to download. Most probably within a few months. This entire process takes some time and patience as I'm sure ya'll do understand (I hope so at least lol ) ....

Thanks again, & stay tuned ;-)
-Trixie
