i live on the internet.
here are my favorite blogs to help ease the boredom of any day n' night.
please support and spread.

---sound scene revolution - www.soundscenerevolution.com - 2 awesome dudes from the Bay Area doing awesome band interview podcasts. their shit is very well put together and they have a LOT to listen to (interviews include: Comadre, Dead To Me, The Swellers, Propagandhi, Girl Talk, and much much more). also, both these dudes party hard.

---i hope you are unhappywww.ihopeyouareunhappy.blogspot.com (for English translated version of this blog, click HERE and enter the URL for the blog) - updates on Japanese culture and their punk/hardcore scene. my boy Yoshi from the band Endzweck does this blog in Japan. dude rules. his band rules. and he got good style.

---counter culture the culture - www.counterculturetheculture.blogspot.com - Al is the fuckin man. this kid is also from the Bay. at the top page of his blog, it reads "i go to shows and i take pictures". perfect. that is exactly what he does. and this guy take DAMN good pictures. check it them out at his flickr.

---peninsula fixed gear - www.peninsulafixedgear.blogspot.com - kids from our hometown love riding fixed gears. here is their blog that documents a bunch of their rides that i keep missin for stupid reasons. don't forget to check out some of those videos that they've put together. stoked.

---suck my ovarieswww.suckmyovaries.blogspot.com - this is Julia's blog. and she does aFUCKINGlot for it and it really shows. much love. she lives in LA and does interviews of bands (including: Comadre, Dangers, Bane, and Punch). other than interviews, she keeps real uptodate with punk/hardcore in LA and SoCal. the coolest part is that she translates most of the stuff on there in Spanish, as well as keeping uptodate with punk/hardcore in lovely Latin America. (ps...South America, hope to see you soon).

---national underground - www.nationalunderground.org - these dudes LOVE The Fest in Gainesville, FL. on this site, you'll find interviews, reviews, pictures (and best of all) videos from awesome bands who have played The Fest (including: Comadre, Against Me, None More Black, Paint it Black, Shook Ones, and Dead To Me). for even more videos, find their youtube account.

---you will move - www.youwillmove.blogspot.com - this is my boy Hector's blog. he lives in Puerto Rico and knows his shit, hard. you will find tons of reviews, videos, pictures, and free downloads from rad bands. he also knows everything that is going on in Puerto Rico that has anything to do with punk/hardcore. he is also a sweetheart.

---get creepy - www.getcreepy.com - Bay Area skateboarding blog. if you want references from this kid, google "Kyle Camarillo" and you will know what's up. dude films some great videos and takes some great pictures. i believe there is a new blog in the works for him, but check this one out for now.

---we are dangerswww.wearedangers.blogspot.com - Dangers are one of the few bands that run a good blog. good updates, good free tunes/other stuff, good shit to say. plus, it doesn't hurt that their band absolutely rules.

---please think twice - www.pleasethinktwice.blogspot.com - you like aliens? you like conspiracies? you think your government knows a lot more shit about cool ass shit than they tell you? ...or are you just THAT bored and wanna hear a bunch of crazies? either way, this one's for you. (ps, i believe).

---hyde park halfwww.hydeparkhalf.wordpress.com - ATTN: kids in LA / SOCAL AREA. there is a new diy, all ages community space and venue in Inglewood. it is all volunteer run, so you should check it out and see what you can do to help and/or get involved. they are doing a lot for that community. not just putting on shows. and if anything, you should go to the shows they got there and keep that shit legit and alive. support.

---atlas skateboard store - www.atlasskateboardstore.com - this is technically a store found in downtown San Mateo, CA. they run a pretty sweet blog that is updated on the reg. you'll find awesome pics and vids documenting Bay Area skateboarding. as well, they keep you updated with what new threads they got in stock (including: Huf, The Hundreds, Stussy, Diamond, and more). go here to buy your skateboarding needs cause the 2 dudes who run this shop rule.

---mashsf - www.mashsf.com/blog.php - if you ride a fixed gear, you probably already know about this blog. on the chance that you ride fixed but live under a fuckin rock, then here you go. San Francisco based company, team, video filmers, and bike nerds. keep a constant update of shit going on in our beautiful Bay Area and also all around the world for all things having to do with bikes and riding real fast.

---punknews www.punknews.org - this one is kinda also a "duh", but i'll add it anyways cause i really do like it. check it out for the latest updates on all things punk/hardcore/whatever. tons of news, reviews, interviews, streams, tour dates, and free shit on the daily. love this site.

i believe that's it for now.
if you have a blog and wanna hype that shit up, please post the link in the comments.
thanks for checking these out.

we've been home for a few days now. and i wanna first say, damn, that was a successful-ass tour. word. 40+ days around the U.S. with places to play and sleep, and awesome kids to hang out with and party with every night...that's pretty fucking rad.

THANKS SO MUCH to everyone who set up a show for us, who let us play in your house/basement/warehouse/storage space/venue/art space/whatevz, who cooked us food, who bought us food, who let us crash your house, who gave us some company and hung out with during/before/after the show, who was down to party and stay up stupid late with us, who told us ghost stories, who took us swimming, who drove out hours to get to the show, who came to multiple shows, and simply...who had a damn good time with us during the show.

shit was wild.

this was the 4th time we've had the opportunity to take a trip around the U.S. and it is always awesome to see the same rad faces we've met on previous tours. thanks for sticking around. and to all the kids we met for the first time, thanks for taking the time to check this shit out. much appreciated and hope to see you all soon again.

it was really cool to get to go to a few different states that we've never played, thanks for the love that we got in Montana, Maine, Iowa, Tennessee, and Oklahoma...we hope to be able to (somehow) play the remainding 10 states that we have not at some point :)

big ups to the dudes at Rain Fest and This is Ours Fest...kids in Chicago, NYC, DC, Portland, Greensboro, Houston, and oh...if you were at that show in L.A., thanks for the amazing last-show-of-tour...couldn't have ended on a better note.

much love to the Loma Prieta and Trainwreck kids for being a part of this tour. (ps...both of these bands have brand new albums that you NEED to check out).

other than that, check out: Black Kites, Swallowed Up, Touche Amore, and La Dispute.

as for the rest of our UPCOMING PLANS:

-we are flying out to DUDE FEST in Indianapolis, Indiana the weekend of July 17th-19th (ps...we play SUNDAY, July 19th). and if you are planning on going, we are playing a "pre-Dude Fest house show" the night before the fest starts...Thursday, July 16th...house in Indianapolis...show with Engineer and Tides...all the info is on our page.

-we will be printing new shirts with all new designs and sizes...that stuff will be all up on our NEW ONLINE MERCH STORE here: www.bloodtown.bigcartel.com

-we still got copies of our new record "A WOLF TICKET" 12inch/cd/tape and "BURN YOUR BONES" repress 12inch+cd+dvd. (***NOTE*** nothing is 100% yet...but it looks like we are trying to print up like 25 LIMITED COVERS of "A Wolf Ticket" for DUDE FEST. if it happens, this will include a multi-colored hand-screened cover and the 12inch in the LIMITED tan-colored vinyl [out of 100]).

-KINDA LIKE A FEST 5 is our only show we have planned anywhere in the area...that is Saturday, August 8th in Half Moon Bay. other bands playing: Sabertooth Zombie, Dead to Me, Hour of the Wolf, Broadway Calls, Punch, Don't Trip, Spires, 1994!, Touche Amore, and Make Do and Mend. all the info is here: www.myspace.com/kindalikeafest

-we will also be flying out to THE FEST 8 in Gainesville, Florida for the weekend of Oct 30th-Nov 1st.

Tuesday, April 28, 2009

this was one of the shortest "tours/trips" that we've done. only 4 days and only 3 shows, but fuck...it was DAMN good. there are some real genuine kids down in Puerto Rico. people who care a lot about their punk/hardcore community and their friends involved in it. (and i'm not saying that you can't find these types of kids in other parts of the world...cause, of course you can...but what i'm trying to say is that, within the short 4 days that we were there, i was really touched by the things i saw that were going down in the punk/hardcore community). we feel more than honored when we get invited anywhere...so yeah, thank you for that and for making us feel more than welcomed. we had such a good time at the shows and everywhere else we went to go hang out. first of all, a huge thanks to everyone in Punchline Productions for bringing us to Puerto Rico for a few shows...Karlos and Karla...you guys rule, and what you guys are doing for the kids in PR is amazing :) also, Carlton (Professor X, Doo-Doo-Brown, Cee, C-money, C-note) thanks so much for letting us crash your place and take over your xbox360, you are a damn good dude. Aby and Delly, thanks for hanging out and showing us around. Hector, thanks for all the constant messages asking us to do a tour in PR in the first place, heh. and to all the kids we met, talked to, hung out with, showed us around, borrowed gear from, got food with, came to the shows and had a good time...thanks for the love. hopefully we'll be seeing you all again sometime soon.

much love.

(ps...if you didn't know about the "Burn Your Bones" repess...it is the FINAL pressing of it...all new artwork and all the music is remixed and remastered...it is in a gatefold package that includes: the 12inch record, the CD, and a DVD [that documents the past 4 years of touring in the U.S., Europe, Japan, and Mexico]. this repress is being released by 3 labels that each got 400 on black vinyl and 100 on a different colored vinyl of their choice. so in other words...1,500 in total...1,200 on black...100 on one color [that goes to kids in Japan]...100 on a diff color [that goes to kids in Europe]...and 100 on another diff color [that goes to kids in the U.S.]. and for this preorder, we will be sending out the 100 on the limited color we get to the first 100 kids that preorder it from us).
