Hey everyone,
We've taken the past month or so off to write some new songs and switch around the arrangements a bit. We'll be debuting a bunch of new material this week at our two performances @ the CMJ Music Marathon. These shows will be a hoot, and if you are of the sort that enjoys hoots, you'll likely want to attend. For some reason all the rock music related folks in the world tend to descend down onto the streets of downtown, stumble around for a few days from club to club, check out bands, forget to sleep and eat a ton of falafel.
Our first show is this Wednesday, Nov 1st @ Pianos for the Kanine Records showcase. We'll be playing the late night party @ 2 AM, right after Ra Ra Riot. Full details at the bottom of this email. Drink some sparks & stick it out.
The second is Saturday, Nov 4th @ the 5th Floor showcase w/ Takka Takka & Bravo Silva @ the Delancey. We go on at 8 PM sharp. Info at the bottom of the email.
Also, we've just caught wind of a possible secret show next week, but details are still hazy, so we cannot confirm anythng. But it may be with a good ol' band from the North Country. So be on the lookout.
Hope to see everyone soon. Thanks for all the support..

Current mood: sympathetic
our friends at Union Hall in Brooklyn just clued us into the little fact that we'll be playing there on Saturday night, with a little band called Margot & The Nuclear So & Sos from Indianapolis, who are quite good themselves, and in the market to play secretly it seems...
it's obviously not that secret if I am posting an all-friend-wide-bulletin, but there will be an air of mystery to it i'm sure.... and Union Hall has two huge bocce courts and tons of good beer, so there is no good excuse not to be there...
plus, we'll probably have a party late night at our house, considering we live a few blocks away.. so call/write/get in touch and get yourself together... We go on at 8:30/9 - Margot at 10 or so.. don't know what the cover is, shouldn't be more than 6-7 bucks...
Here's the practical info...
Directions: Union Hall is located in Park Slope, Brooklyn, right off the corner of 5th Avenue on Union Street.
R train to Union Street. Walk 1 block east.
F train to 4th Avenue. Walk north on 4th Ave and turn right on Union Street. 1 block up.
Q, 2, 3, 4, 5 trains to Atlantic Avenue. Walk south on 5th Ave. Make a left on Union Street.

Hey everybody....
we have returned from our west coast tour safe & sound & succesful! Thanks to everyone that we stayed with and who came to see us. The west coast is a truly magical place it seems. If you are ever driving through Olympia, WA on I-5, you should get off at the Niskayulla exit and get Tacos from the Taco Bus there. You will thank me forever. There will be a big update soon with lots of photos & a few live recordings (which came out rad!)
So to celebrate our homecoming, we're playing at the Union Hall in Park Slope on Thursday. This bar is sweet. It has 2 bocce courts and looks sort of like a library, where we should feel at home if our band photo is at accurate. We're playing with Takka Takka who are releasing a really good record at the show (and soon will be on tour with Clap Your Hands Say Yeah). The show starts at 8 (Slowlands at 8:30) and costs $7. The directions are at the bottom of the page. So come hither....
