Much love to our good friend Jason and his five hour mission with girlfriend Danielle to meet us in Portland with more shirts - we got nothing but love for Guru Screen Printing - (www.myspace.com/guruscreenprinting) and the mission was appreciated

Thanks to good friend Roy for hosting us in Seattle as well - more late night IHOP sessions soon

We finished with No Doubt in Vancouver last week - the whole last stretch has been an incredible one and everyone in the No Doubt camp was incredibly gracious

We are finishing up a string of dates in California with Rootbeer and The Lions - very cool for us to be playing with two groups we hold in such a high regard

Check them out

Hey,

So,
today I woke up and had one of those moments of wondering whether
anything was worth what it had seemed to mean when i was younger. I sat
by a window in a sort of hopeless state. The small things in life can
start to wear down ones inner drive to create at times. In the past few
years I have been to some amazing places. I've spent close to five
years travelling throughout the world with some of my closest friends,
but I think I picked up some unwanted baggage in the airports along the
way.

Anyways, to be less cryptic, I wondered whether the music
had gotten lost in the mix. Had the road left me worse for wear? It was
in that moment that my friend Dave sent me this message he had recieved
from a listener of ours in Georgia (the country not the state). I
thought I would share it with you, not because he loves my band (ahem)
but because it washed away all my worries with just a simple change of
perspective. It confirmed to me again that music truly can bring things
together. Music is a healer, and music connects us all to a shared
experience. We are all just trying to work it out. Here is his
message....

Hello my friends!

My name is Temuri Kiguradze, I am a war journalist in a far-far-far
country called Georgia, you've probably never even heard of it... I
just want to thank you for the music you make. Several months ago in my
country there was a war with Russia (in a breakaway region called South
Ossetia),separatist soldiers killed two of my friends and I was wounded
and captured by them and later delivered to Russian troops.

I have spent 8 days behind the enemy lines under the control of Russian
special service, I don't know why but the only thing that Russian
forces returned to me after a search was my MP3 player, your music kept
me more-less sober all these days long. I just want to thank you for
stuff you make. I think that you don't even realize how powerful you
songs may be. Thanks for helping me getting trough it...and sorry I've
stolen all your albums, there is no way buying it here in Georgia

Good luck dudes

Best regards

Temuri Kiguradze

Hey everyone,

Happy up-coming Valentines day! We've never really understood the point of this holiday. But, in the spirit of things, Jay and Eon were voted two of the top 25 bachelors in Canada by Entertainment Tonight. If, like us, you are lonely tonight, you can tune in to the show at 7 pm tonight to watch two of Canada's loneliest "top 25" bachelors! happy days.

Also, if you can't get enough, Jay has started a solo project with Chris Gonzales of the Loved Ones. There are some songs uploaded for your listening pleasure. The project is tentatively planned to be recorded in the Spring. You can check it out at myspace.com/jaymalinowski

The bad brains/bedouin soundclash mash-up is in the final mixing stages down in Woodstock, NY and we will have more details very soon about the project.

Thank you to Darryl Jenifer - www.myspace.com/badbrains777.
