Hi All,
I feel that I've come to a crossroads in my life & don't know what to do next.
I really can't stand my current job (which has very little to nothing to do with drawing or design) & want to make the leap to an art or graphics based career (preferably comics). Unfortunately, I have very little to No free time, so feel that the best thing I could do is take a week off work to work on my portfolio (including my Comic), however, this would be an unpaid week. I'm selling a load of stuff on ebay so I can take this time off, but is it wrong of me to use this money for what some would see as selfish?
I have a Fiance & 11 month old baby.

please let me know your thoughts.

I've just had the sudden realisation that I only really know/have met in person about 4 of my 200+ my space friends. I've spoken/IM/messaged about 10-15 and got responces, and have absolutley No Contact with over 150 of the rest... so really, WHAT'S THE FUCKING POINT!?!

ok... rant done... now, lets see who else I can befriend & never speak to.

"My Current Comic Reading..... (in no particular order)"

I read a hell of a lot of comics, mostly maintream stuff but some indies. I work for a back issue comic shop, so basically get a copy of every (mainstream) comic published. Below is a list of the comics I've actually picked up read, and enjoyed...

Start with the obvious ones, for a mainstream fan...

New Avengers, Ultimates, Ult Spidey, Ult X-Men, Ult FF (etc etc)

Daredevil (lovin both Brian Bendis & Ed Brubaker's stuff)

most of Brian k Vaughan's comics... Runaways, Y: The Last Man, Ex Machina

Captain America, Civil War, Many different Spider-Man titles, Invincible, Squadron Supreme.

I've also recentley Picked up Testament, and would highly recomend it!

well.... Even I've gotten bored typing this blog, so I'm gonna stop there and try to make the next one more interesting!
