So last week we played part in what was the first of 4 "Chronicles Showcase" leading up to the launch of The Times latest album in June, and we sure had loads of fun!

Big ups to Diky + Ismail of Gizmo Records for organizing such an elaborate gig (they took the initiative to prepare 'artist manuals' for bands and also provided food backstage!) and for having us melt the ears of those who came. It was so much fun and such an honour to be pitted with such illustrious bands like Restraint, One Buck Short, Missing Chapter, Hollow Of Hate and of course The Times. They were nothing short of inspirational. And to tap it all off, we played in front of a fun crowd! Thanks so much guys!

Oh yeah! Thanks to Wan from Under One Flag zine for reviewing us at the show. Read it here.

So what's next for us this year?

We might be playing again sometime in May/June, but that's still in the works. If that doesn't happen, we'll just get our heads straight and cook up something in the studio and wait till' July where we're invited by Basil of FlyFM to perform for campur Chart Goes Live! at Laundry Bar. It'll be the first time we're playing there since May last year so, do come people!

There's also the trip to Bangkok alongside our buddies from Lightcraft in support of Silent Scenery's album launch/mini tour that's happening in August. After hitting Singapore last year, we are so looking forward to crash yet another country (oh the food yumyum omg).

That's about it then.

Take care! Ciao!

Diggity clown on the down, looooooooooow!

Whut whut whut whut! This is T to the L E, phony Delivery! We be playin’ like it ain’t stoppin’, ya’ll know how it is damn right we check the mic!....

....

Uhm, sorry. 4 elementz overdozeeee.

So yeah! We crashed the gates of 2008 (a bit too late la kan?) with a blistering set in the glorious regalia of a city that is Putrajaya. We were happy to make our first stage appearence for the year alongside long time friends The Otherside Orchestra, Lurks and -fellow Subangites- Grape. Not to mention MC Kerambit and Arafah that left us in awe with their one-man show theatrics.

The show was evidently a full-on assault of audio and visuals as the two buildings right beside the stage were basked in stunning visual projections, giving the night an excellent ambient backdrop that fuelled our spirits from the get-go. Mucho thanks and mad props to the organizers for such a magnitude event.

We’re keeping our live momentum rolling with an appearence at The Times Chronicles Showcase at the MCPA Theater Hall on April 12 with bands we’ve never shared stage with (so excited about this) so we hope to see you there yeah?

Til’ then,
Ciao!

Hey there folks!

Wow. It has been quiet a while huh?

2008 has been relatively quite for us so far, but being quiet doesn't mean we're sitting pretty on our asses waiting for things to happen.

We've been working out a couple of new songs to be heard this year and so far things are looking quite well. We're aiming at one new song per month. Haha. It's safe to say that we're picking up where we left off on the last EP, but keeping things rather practical this time around. But it still kicks you right in the face, that's for sure. Haha.

For the past few weeks we've been doing pre-production works on the new songs, hoping to get the best out of us all before we head for recording sometime in April.

So? Are we coming up with a new release this year?

Well, you're right if you guess both. Haha.

There is no specific plan for us to release the follow up to last year's EP, but it's a highly likely chance that we'll be involved in a project that we're still keeping mum about. Just wait for the updates yeah?

Anyways we'll be back on the stage next month alongside Grape, The Otherside Orchestra and Lurks for an Apple/Adidas event in Putrajaya. We hope to see you there!

Booya!

Phew. It has almost been a week, but we're still reeling from the aftermath of our recent Singapore trip and boy what a blast it was.

It didn't cross our minds that the moment we set foot there, we were in for one of the best moments of our lives. With that we'd like to first thank these lovely peeps that made our stay in Singapore, felt like we've never left home in the first place:

Adel & family - for the most generous hospitality and so much more.

Jem, Isa, Syadie, Bong - for the company and 'determination' for having to put up with our antics (totos!)

Razi - for the awesome 2nd show at Home Club and allowing us to let our gears sleep at *Scape the whole while.

Eliss - for giving us the chance to rock out Full Flight 2007 and most impotantly the dinner at Al-Azhar!

Michelle - for being the friendliest MC we've ever met.

The crowd from both shows - thanks for the support and also for buying our merchs. We came home feeling like rich bastards. Haha.

The bands we shared stage with - you guys really know how to rock it out!

Drivers of cabs and busses - for getting us to places.

Burger King Cineleisure - for the awesomest thing evah; Turkey Burger!

Custom Officials at Tuas - for being so laidback that we went through the whole process with zero hassle.

Last but not least,

Our parents - for the blessings on this mission of making them proud. We love you the most.

Big ups to Rushdi and Faiz that tagged along with our sudden tour. The trip couldn't be better without you guys.

Last night saw a repetition of last week's series of events at Puduraya but this time, it was Oh Chentaku's turn to hop on the bus and with all the will in their hearts and all the might in their souls, will launch an attempt to take Singapore by storm with their high-octave shows and mindnumbing stage theatrics. We wish them the very best of luck and godspeed. Singaporeans, show them love!

Up next in our calendar will be our last show before we close the curtain for 2007. Get Heat: The Action! is another monumental show for us as we will share the stage with another heavyweight act from Singapore, the mighty mighty I Am David Sparkle.

See ya cats there!

Tuesday, December 04, 2007
Heh. Yeah, you read that right. The Overture Of Dollah Tiger & Mat Chicago has made its way, hiting the airwaves there.

Check it out here, at the New Music section. And also here for the playlist.

We'd like to thank the good people of nowlikephotographs for the opportunity. It might be a wishful thinking, but we're hoping this is a stepping stone for something beyond our imaginations.

Godspeed.

We had so much fun at The Otherside Orchestra's Album Launching Party we felt as if it was one big people-infested birthday party!

The Annexe was literally swarmed with post-SPM/post-PMR kids battling it out with the usual gig-going crowds to see who flaunted their love for their favourite bands the best. It was sheer madness as it was made known to us that the floor of The Gallery was bending/cracking due to excessive movements made by the wild crowd.

We were shocked and flattered at the same time when we saw a small pit in the centre that was actually moshing/pogo-ing to the noises that we made and a couple of dudes even bodysurfed all the way to the back! Thanks for making our day guys! We love you!

Congrats and all the best to Wan & The Otherside Orchestra for the release of their much-anticipated debut album. And also a big thank you to Analog Six for warming up the crowd before us. Those kids certainly love their wacko disco!

Our next show will mark a whole set of new breakthroughs for us. It'll be the first time that we're actually getting across nation boarders with our gears, our passports stamped, glaring stares from immigration officers, neverending comparison against currencies and whatnot for one sole purpose. WE WANNA HIT SINGAPORE SO BAD THAT THEY WANT US BACK THERE! Haha.

So yeah. If you're reading this and you so happen to be a Singaporean or you so happen to be in Singapore around the 12th and 14th of December, do make your way to *Scape Youth Centre at Somerset and Home Club respectively and witness 5 Malaysian mid-20s sweat their heart out (we've yet to bleed, but we're more than willing!) for the sake of just letting you know how much they love making sweet noises on stage.

See ya!

With butterfly wings,

Fuh! Last week was certainly filled with sheer intensity!

Singapore's post-rock kiddies, Amateur Takes Control literally took control of last week's A Shared Pattern Between Us gig at Awakening KL. Their infectious raw energy translated well with the audience they even rubbed some of it on us. We followed up their set like crazy muppets!

Thanks to The Alia and ATC for organizing such an intimate show, we love intimacy (ngehngeh).

Up next, The Otherside Orchestra's album launching party at the Annexe!

See ya cats there!

With love in our hearts and lust that sets us apart,

So after a 2 month-long break thanks to both Ramadhan and Syawal, we resumed our gigging routine with a satisfying show at Lil' Havana last weekend.

It was awesome sharing the stage with Lightcraft and The Otherside Orchestra once more and what a delight it was to witness the brilliance of the brand new B-Quartet (in actuality, they were a quintet that night) which left everyone in awe of their new, intense sound. Props to Phang for organizing and for the opportunity presented to us to rock out.

We didn't return from our break empty handed. That gig witnessed the debut of our newest track, "Living In Vivified Enclosures" (yeah, the EP title).

So come and see us play it again this Friday in Awakening KL. We'll be playing alongside Singapore's Amateur Takes Control who will also be playing this month's Motion Picture Soundtrack on the 15th at Laundry Bar.

Until then, see ya!

So our weekly run of gigs came to an end last week with a satisfactory blast at our home ground of good ol' Subang Jaya. Let's do this re-cap accordingly yeah?

11th August 2007
This show marked the return of our beloved former conspirator, Azmir into the fold as he resumes his role as the band's call-up vocalist. Playing at Olympia College's Orientation Ball in Corus Hotel taught us an important lesson: to not play for proms anymore. Heh. The whole thing was ok, it's just that, we didn't feel like it was worth all the time and energy spent. Then again sharing the stage with the explosive The Fridays has always been a joy. It also witnessed the debut of an up-and-coming new outfit. The enigmatic Yuna and her band of misfits, of which two of them is from Telephony Delivery. Wanna take a shot at guessing who these bastards are? Heh.

18th August 2007
After 2 months, Until Tonight saw us returning to KL Jam Asia with a mission to rekindle our fighting spirit that was apparently lost from the last gig. Playing exactly right after the magnificent Oh Chenta Ku proved to be a mountain to climb as we burst into our set like giants on speed. A video of us was taken from this gig while performing our newest track, In Absence that was debuted at Chenta Itu Bhuta back in June.

25th August 2007
We were pitted against the best bands ever witnessed by the scene in the past decade. Adding more to the excitement of Your Next In Line!!! was the inclusion of the ever elusive Akta Angkasa, returning to the gigging masses with a brand new shade of sonic assault that never fails to leave jaws dropping and eyes blinking in disbelief. Given the opportunity to open for such an intense lineup was for us, surreal beyond reasons.

2nd September 2007
We never dreamt of playing another festival this year, let alone outside the bustling madness of KL. But we did just that. Malacca House Of Indie 2007 was by far, the most nerve wrecking show we ever did. We were slotted as the last band before the night ends with a 2-hour set by spin meister DJ Ben Cracko. Playing last meant playing after the heavyweight-likes of Hujan, Bittersweet, Love Me Butch and Seven Collar T-Shirt. But we proved our worth by sailing into yet another confident set despite technical errors faced by Pa'an.

8th September 2007
Chenta Kasorgha was another historical milestone for the band as we were asked to perform an acoustic set without our backbone Adib due to his involvement in the recent Terengganu Street Fest in Bukit Bintang. Soaking up the challenge as to defy naysayers that claimed our brand of music can't go acoustic, we intensively practiced and dissected our songs and re-assembled them in a new perspective. The roaring applause that we received from the crowd was a testament that it was another job well done.

We'd like to thank every single soul that was involved in making everything we went through this past 5 weeks a memorable experience. You know who you are, and you know damn well that we love you.

We also received news from our good friend Mr. Stalin that our article is now out on his webzine. Do check it out here.

We're taking this Ramadhan to reflect on ourselves and attempt to discover new avenues that we could explore and excite. In the meantime, have a monumental Ramadhan everyone. See ya soon.

With love,
Telephony Delivery

Silent Ballet, the famous webzine from the United States made a review of our EP and we must say it's the best piece of truth we ever read:

Telephony Delivery - Living in Verified Enclosures

Score: 4.5/10

Telephony Delivery,

I am writing you this letter because I couldn't tell you this to your face – it'd hurt too much. I just… I can't listen to you anymore. We've had some great times together, and you're a lot of fun most of the time, but I just can't count on you. Your Living in Verified Enclosures EP is too unfocused and inconsistent for me to stay with you for much longer, and that's why I'm leaving you now, before either of us gets truly hurt.

Your EP's organization is hapless, Telephony Delivery. It's as if you wrote a bunch of tracks that satisfied you, put the song titles in a hat, and then arranged the songs in the order that you drew them out. For example, using the only song with vocals on the EP as the opener is a grave error, especially when the vocals aren't exactly top-notch. A band with all the energy you are able to muster should not use the slot where the listener is introduced to your music with slow vocals moaning "I need you…" You have to assert yourself, Telephony Delivery, show some confidence, rather than apologizing to me for the album before I even have a chance to listen to it.

Your idolization of 65daysofstatic is a bit overbearing as well. Both "Faux Fiancée Foe Pt. 2" and "Aviation Spirit" sound like they could have been found on the cutting room floor of the Fall of Math recording sessions. But I'd rather listen to The Fall of Math than listen to you pretend to be 65dos – you have the energy, Telephony Delivery, but you aren't nearly as paranoid. Your drumming is quite impressive on these tracks, imitating the ferocity and proficiency of the band you adore; it feels as if you are wearing someone else's skin, you're not quite at home, Telephony Delivery. You have to channel your relentless enthusiasm and pour that into your proficient drumming, giving it your own voice and fun, energetic tone, creating a more definitive style that you can call your own.

But our time together wasn't all bad – you are incredibly fun to listen to early on, and you have an energetic charm that you just can't fake. This charm is all over "The Overture of Dollah Tiger & Mat Chicago," the best song on the EP. Given the relatively short track length, (just under three minutes) your short attention span assists rather than hinders the creation of a full, completely realized track that channels all of the energy that you are capable of. The only part of the track that doesn't sit well with me is the synth program designed to mimic strings, which always makes a song sound rather artificial. The synth on the slow(er), airy "Mubarak" however, is wonderful, conveying all of the tenderness that I know you are capable of.

You're like the little boy who can't sit still, Telephony Delivery – endearing and fun for a little while, and rather tiresome soon after. I can't count on you, and that's why I can't listen to you anymore. If you mature a bit, dispense with the idolization, and really find your own voice, then I'll welcome you back with open arms. But until then, I'm going to stick with bands that have already reached their maturity. I'll be waiting for you,

-Zach Mills

Most of you might find this review morally degrading for us, but we're not sensitive like that. We take criticism well by always striving to push our music further. This is definitely good motivation for us. The best bits about this review are:

1. Adib's drumming
2. the oddballs: Dollah Tiger & Mubarak
3. 4.5/10 is better than anything below, yes? Hahaha.

Thanks a lot to Jordan Volz for the opportunity and also to Zach Mills for taking the time to actually sit and listen to the EP in its entirety. This little boy will surely grow, and be sure you're prepared for it. Haha! Gila poyo!

The review can also be read here.

Cheers!

Big ups to Wan and his organizing team for another satisfying installment of the annual KL Indie Bands Fest last night. To Faiz and Batak, the best sound engineering 'couple' ever, thanks for everything else.

The lineups were awesome, so was the people. We had great fun!

Last night was also our last show with our delightful sessionist, Rico. We are forever in debt to you bro, thanks!

Next month's gonna be crazy for us. Starting from the 11th, we'll be hitting gig venues every single week up till the dawn of Ramadhan. Keep a look out on our upcoming shows, see ya cats soon!

Cheers.

Thanks to Shah and Taylor's College Subang's Music Club, we had our first non-gig outing last night. It was cool in a way because we were great as a band, but the sound was beyond unbearable. Dickheads. Thank god for the dance troupe. Hihi.

Anyways, last night also witnessed the debut of our latest sessionist, Rico of Lightcraft's fame who filled in for Azhar on keyboards. He did a fantastic job and we're glad that he is committed as he is.

Rico will be playing again with us at the upcoming KL Indie Bands Fest '07 this 28th so for you cats who'd like to see him in action banging thru our songs, come on over baby!

See ya!

As it was unknown to us, we were told by our friends that our EP was reviewed in Junk magazine's May 2007 issue. For those who've read it, we hoped it casted a proper or perhaps a justified light upon us and what we strive to achieve through our music. For those who missed it, well. Thankfully they put it up online on their spanking new, revamped website!

Read all about it here.

If you're wondering, yes. The EP cover came out upside down in the magazine as well. We still don't know why. Heh. Thanks to Jolyn for writing it.

Take care, play safe.
