Matthew Sweet is wrapping up his national Sunshine Lies tour with a hometown performance at the El Rey, featuring special surprise guests Susanna Hoffs and Vicki Peterson of The Bangles. Ticket buyers that bring a canned good will receive $5 off the ticket price, and all donations will be donated to the Los Angeles Food Bank. Matthew's first new solo album in several years, Sunshine Lies, is being heralded his best in years. Sunshine Lies was produced and recorded by Matthew in his Los Angeles studio, where he also recently produced the new album for the Capital Records band The Bridges. 100.3 The Sound in LA will be airing Matthew's "My Turn " guest dj spot on 11/23 at 6 pm. Listen at http://www.thesoundla.com/?nid=12.
