Current mood: thankful
Well, it has come to this. We are calling it quits. Many different reasons have made us come to this conclusion, and it is a 100% amicable split. Pavel, Kegham, Garen and myself would like to thank everyone that had supported us through this fantastic ride for the past 4 years.
For every promoter that took a chance on us...THANK YOU! For every band that rocked the shit with us...THANK YOU!! And for every man, woman and child that saw a live show, threw up the horns, wore a Synastry t-shirt, got our album or hung out with us...THANK YOU!!!
We've seen and experienced a lot of things with this band, and as hard as it was to make the decision, we felt in our hearts and minds it had to be done. We would like to personally thank our great and dear friends in THE AGONIST, THE CATALYST, DERELICT, ENDAST, THE MONARCHY, NIGHTMARE AFTER DAWN, MYTHOSIS, (the) PLASMARIFLE, WDNFRA, OUR LADY OF BLOODSHED & ASSASINATE THE FOLLOWING, plus so many more that the list would be too long.
We'd also like to thank Chris Benn and James Wright for releasing and supporting BLIND EYES BLEED, to Kevin Jardine, JF Dagenais, Chris Donaldson and Jef Fortin for helping us sculpt our sound, and last but certainly not least a GREAT BIG SYNASTRY HUG to Mike Marino for pushing us as far as we could go.
To our friends we made on the road...we are only an email away, And to our families and our friends here in Montreal, well, you'll be seeing a lot more of us.
We have also made our newest album, OUR MEMETIC IMPRINTS available for free download on our myspace page www.myspace.com/synastry Go and get it and enjoy it!
Thank you very much, everybody.

Hey everyone,
Though we have seemed to have gone into a hibernation of sorts, emerging from time to time to play the odd show or tour this past winter, the ever vigilant SYNASTRY fan knows that when things get quiet on our end, that is when you need to keep your ear to the ground for us.
This past winter was the calm before the storm. As the frostbite stung at us, we mercilessly tracked to perfection (with the prowress of JF DAGENAIS of KATAKLYSM, CHRIS DONALDSON of CRYPTOPSY and KEVIN JARDINE, formely of SLAVES ON DOPE, all imparting upon us vital knowledge and applying the right kind of pressure to keep us motivated without getting complacent) to bring you our new album, OUR MEMETIC IMPRINTS.
But sonically, this disc would not be complete without the artful work of JEF FORTIN of ANONYMOUS, who did the final touches with his awesome mastering work.
OUR MEMETIC IMPRINTS brings to the table what SYNASTRY has been about since we started: intense, intricate music that carries a message home and is not filled with the same shallow pre-tenses modern music seems to be brimming with these days. Musically, vocally and lyrically, we have grown as a band, and life on the road has been a great part of that growth.
When will OUR MEMETIC IMPRINTS be available commercially? Thats is yet to be announced. Our search for the right sound for this album may have concluded, but now, the search for a positive and helpful party to set OUR MEMETIC IMPRINTS free to the masses begins.
We extend a debt of thanks to JF, Chris, Kevin and Jef for helping shape us, to our girlfriends, friends and families for being supportive and understanding, and to all who have assisted SYNASTRY in the past few years, either by coming to a show, picking up a piece of merch, putting us on a show or letting us crash on their couch/futon/floor/welcome mat for the night, every band we know thats helped us out; we love you guys, and ESPECIALLY to Mike Marino, for agreeing to work with us and helping us get our asses into high gear.
Please spread the word...

Well, we just got home from our inaugural Cross Canada Tour, and aside from alot of flat fields and greenery, we have a renewed appreciation for the road and a fresh outlook on touring, and we await for the next chance to get on the road and bring our music to as many people as we can.
That being said, there were many highlights on the tour, and most of them were caught on film. We will be editing the tapes and will put up a small tour recap on our myspace and web site for all you Synastrites out there.
Crossing this beautiful land we call home has been a great growing experience for us as a band, and we look forward to rocking out with all the freinds we made on the road the next time we cross through Canada.
Until then, stay metal -SYNASTRY

So this past week we spent a few days SYNASTRISING the east coast of Canada.
Specifically, Moncton NB, Halifax NS and Edmundston NB. We never thought we could have even played a show in a steakhouse, but...we were pleasantly surprised that it all went down great and the crowd was into it..both in Moncton and in Edmundston! NB Kicks ass!
We also did 2 shows in one day in Halifax, an early all ages show at the Halifax Pavillion, and a later 19+ show at Gus' Pub that same evening. We want to thank all the Halifaxians for coming out and rocking out with us at both these shows. The all ages crowd was rowdy...but the 19plus show simply levelled our expectations.
We apologise for the cancellation of the two shows in Summerside, PEI, but they were out of our control. We will be in PEI soon, through our next venture of the East Coast!
We made alot of friends and met some cool bands on this inaugural run out east, and we inted to be back in September!
'Til then... STAY METAL! -SYNASTRY

Current mood: aroused
Hey Synastrites! First and foremost, we would like to thank everyone who came out to our Cd Launch show in Montreal this past saturday the 17th of May. It was a hot night in Club Lambi, and we like to share a big hug with everyone there, from the bands who played (The Integral, Averys Descent, Nightmare After Dawn, The Catalyst -- Thank you guys!) to all our friends, families and everyone in between for being there, you guys fucking rule and we appreciate your attendance and support of Synastry. This has been the best Montreal show in a looooong time. fucking right! But getting home at 4am make it tough to leave for Kitchener from montreal the next morning at 8 am, but, nevertheless, we got our asses outta bed and trekked down to Kitchener to play the KW METALFEST. We shared the stage with some mighty bands on this two day fest, such as Threat Signal and Cryptopsy, and that fuled our desire to deliver some ass shredding, face ripping in your face attitude infused peromaing as only Synastry can. You love it, and we love you for it, fuckers! Also, you can pick up some t shirts, the album and more to come online at http://www.evelmerch.com/synastry . Turns out Universal Records is delaying our store realese to the 27th of May. Hooray! So if you want a copy of the album before that and ive in Montreal or Laval, fucking find us and we will hook u up with an advanced copy! No stalkers;) Once again a huge thanks to everyone at both shows this weekend, the crowds kicked ass both days! Keep metal alive, motherfuckers! See you in the pit -Synastry
