Apart from that, been ordering a lot of shit from the net recently. Got my various DS things from dealextreme.com, DD album as mentioned before, and a DC book coming my way. Yes, a book. Shut it. While I'm talking about things I've bought, got some new shoes, new shirts, shoppings become a fair past-time for me. Fun ;) Gotta start looking at a decent car to buy too. First one! Write off, here I come :D Some major spending coming up too, so I should probably take it easy and save up a bit, but really.... where's the fun in that. A car, really want to move out of home, and possibly Uni? I'm looking into it, would be a load of fun and incredibly satisfying to do some studying again and actually feel like I'm doing something worthwhile with my life. looking at doing a Bachelor of Visual Communications course. 3 years. Brutal.

Can't really think of much else to say right now. Here are my thoughts for the day.

1. Game.
2. British is hot, I would totally do her.
3. Owning your own buisness is a lot of shit work when stock-taking rears it's lame-ass number crunching head.
4. REALLY need to start exercising again. Damn winter.

So this blog'll be all about the 1st of March, 08. Soundwave Festival - Adelaide!

Alex stayed at mine the night before, we got picked up by Jamie. Cheers for that. Headed out to Bonyathon Pk, jumped out to join the masive freakin line. By the end of everyone rockin up, however, we were in about the middle. Wooo >_>

Anywho, we moved over to stage 4 after we got in, From Autumn to Ashes were supposed to be playing. We waited 20 mins til I overheard sound dudes saying they were shifted to 4pm, scrapping Carpathian. Bummer.

We hung out for a bit, sat down and caught some of The Fall of Troy. Meh.
Hung out some more til Divine Heresy. Good god, so friggin awesome. Secured a spot with Jamie right on the front barricade. Highlight was Vext getting up on the woodboard and crowd surfing for real :P

What can I say? I loved it. Finally got to see them.

After that...wel I don't really remember, I think we just hung out for a bit.

Stuff happened.

Went to the SR signing tent and hung there for half hour or so, got my stuff signed, got pics, met em all. Good fun :P

By then I was burnt to hell, had mild hayfever and a fat headache. By 6ish I called it quits and headed home. Overall it was an awesome day, so glad I went.

Recently alot of tours have been coming round bouts these parts. I gotta say for Adelaide, it's a change. I was beginning to get kinda sick of hearing about shows in Sydney, Melbourne ect and having us miss out (eg. Stone Sour when they went to melbourne and we flew over to see em.)

But it seems lately we've been getting alot better stuff come through to us. For my interests, Linkin Park and Chris Cornell, The Blackening Tour (Machine Head, Trivium, Arch Enemy), Gigantour (Megadeth, Devildriver, Static-X, Lacuna Coil, ect) and now the Soundwave festival is coming around. (The Offspring, Incubus, Avenged Sevenfold, STILL REMAINS! and waaay more. Check out www.soundwavefestival.com if you'rte interested. Trust me when I say it'll be better than Big Day Out if you like the same sorta stuff I do.)

But I see on the forums and ect for the SWF that next year (09') it'll be a toss up between us (Adelaide) and Perth. I guess that it's going to cost too much to cater to the smaller venues such as us and Perth, which I get. I wouldn't be too pissed at this, but it really makes me want to move to a bigger city (probably Melbourne, nice place.)

Speaking of, I'm now 20 and really need to kick start my life/career. I'm not entirely sure of where I wanna go, I would be VARY interested in doing something directly with music wether it be mixing or management or promotions or anything! Right now all I have is street teams, which is great, but in no way is it anything to do with a career. It's still great though. I almost feel like I'm stuck here living in Adelaide because it's hardly where the action is at all.

Not that the music scene here isn't alive and kicking with Local acts like Double Dragon, Truth Corroded and all it's brethren around here kicking some serious ass egtting known all over. Which is fantastic because you know it's world class music like alot of the stuff we get imported to us from the US and ect. I'll be happy to be able to say "I knew and saw them, when they were just starting out."

More power to 'em. Makes me wanna start a band :D

Alright, so how are things going? Alright I suppose. I quit my job at the net company so that's good, but now I guess it's a bitch looking for a new job. Hopefully I can manage to fond a good one sooner rather than later D:

Have been applying to a few places, nothing good has come of it yet, though I did get a second interview only to be shut down >_>

Apart from that, things are pretty good. The Royal Show is coming up for me, I'm pretty excited for that I guess. Not that I have alot of cash right now or anything.

Also, my birthday's coming up! I guess turning 20 doesn't mean much to me really, just one year passed ect. Hopefully I have a good bday unlike many others D: No party this time around. Fuck that. Ugh.

Anyway, enough. My dad should be coming back from Egypt any hour now or something. Hopefully he brings me something cool and he enjoyed himself haha.

Woo yeah, alright, got the pictures so it's time for the write up!
Lets start at the beginning yeah? Right...

11th of May, Friday night
As yes. Alright, so we were all done with work and packing and ect, so Chris and I went off to Nathan's house to grab him. The plan was to go to my house, Nathan takes Chris' car to work, then comes back at 4am'ish and we head off in the early morning. Well, on the way back, we got into a serious car crash. Read my previous bloggage if you want to know about it, cbf talking about it again..

Anyways, here's some pics!






So basically, we ended up flying over. So here starts the trip!

||Melbooooourne|| First day, Saturday
So our flight was at about...3pm I think. Didnt take long, ended up being a good flight too :D (particually that hostess and her ass, knowwhatimsayin!haha). We ended up at the Avalon airport later that arvo, around 5pm I think. We met Nathan's uncle Hilly and headed to their place for the night. We headed out from their place in search of a bar and my lust for Pokies :( We ended up finding some after a while. Then I lost money :(((

NEXT MORNING Second Day, Sunday
We got up at 9am, had an awesome breakfast, then headed to the train station, which would take us to Melbourne. Which it did =D




We got into Melbourne city center and did a bit of shopping, boardies for Chris ($40, winnar) and a had a few drinks.




After that we walked a bit, then headed out to St Kilda to check into out hotel and go to the reason we came!

We had some really stupid complications at te hotel, switching rooms and gay crap like that (damn, that girl at the front counter was a bitch!) but once we got into it, had showers ect, we went and got food, booze and checked out the Palace for later on.


We grabbed tea at La Porchetta's, which we could have gotten for free by just walking off >.<, but fuck that, I'm a good guy >_>

Around 7:15 we headed off for SS. When we got there, the line was reaaaaaly long. But that's not even that bad, as the people that rocked up later copped it worse, as we ended up being pretty much in the middle of the line at the end. :S

We got in around 8:30ish and sat through two other bands until STONE SOUR. And fuck yes, it was good.

So, standing up from 7:15 to about 11:15. Legs hurt. Uphill walk back to hotel :(

Ah well. Few drinks and shit later, bedtime.


Day 3, Monday
Got up early, round 8:40am - 9am for showers and check out. Headed out to the train station to leave bags in lockers and ect so we could go shopping. And we did. ALOT. I doubt my feet have hurt more than the end of this day. They still hurt now, 2 days later. I bought a bunch of stuff, amongst that stuff was my new shoes.

After that, we headed back to the train station, and jumped on the bus, which took us back to the Avalon Airport. One Jetstar ride later and we were home!

I have to say, this was definately one of the best things I've ever done. Hope we can do it again!

Hm so. I write this up about, hm, half an hour after I get out of a fairly serious car crash >.> So let me explain. Nathan, Chris and I were driving back to my place and basically long story short, we got into an accident. Luckily the other people in the other car were...not dead....y'know. The guy driving wasn't wearing his seatbelt though, and he got the most hurt. The other passsengers there were ok. Out of our car, Nathan and Chris were retty much fine, I probably was hurt the most (how's that, I was in the freakin back seat too) with really bruised ribs ect.

So Chris's car is now written off, there will be a fair bit of trouble around that (going to work, getting a new car ect) when we get back I guess. Which brings me to MELBOURNE TRIP!

So yeah, basically we were coming to my place to pack the car, the one that we would take over, the one that is now dead, and the car is now boned. So now we're flying over >_> Cheers to Nathan's parents! <3

Well, if you want to head over to Chris and Nathan's pages and leave them some notes ect (they're on my freinds list) I'm sure they'd appreciate it :D

Well, figured I'd update or whatever. Not much is crackin right now. My trip to Melbourne is coming up really soon, which I am definately looking forward to. I think we plan on getting up around 4am, either that or we just pull an all nighter and sleep in the car :..

Either way, it will be good fun. I also ended up booking at our hotel room. Let me tell you, it looks really nice from what I've seen.

Anywho, I'm just sitting at work, waiting for lunch. I should really have breakfast. Can't be good for me   Regardless, evereything is going well. I'm pretty happy at work, I'm starting to not to hate it, though there are times...

Hm, also, I wont be going to Egypt with my dad anymore. Decided against it, as it's maybe too much for my legs to be with the tour group and all that. Guess I wasn't terribly interested anyway.

Anyways, nothin much goin on with me right now. Machine Head's latest album has come out, which I'm very very happy about. Gave it a quick listen and I'm impressed. Woo!
Hm, apart from that I decided to take out my earring :o

Was really beginning to make me irritated and stuff, sleeping on it and not having it heal up. Had it for such a long time now, I guess it could be infected or just not be healing properly. Anywas, it's out now. :(

Melbourne trip in a month and a bit! Yeeeeeeeeeaaahhhhhhh!!!

So yeah. I was down the bay today, and I went into game traders right. Just to have a look. So i'm looking around didn't really see anyhting I liked so Im about to leave and what do i see... Resi 0 and Resi 3 for GC. At $70 each.
