Go check out this young band!

I recently had a young band i my project studio recording two songs - actually my first band as I only have used the studio for my own ideas and creative process of writing songs. Its not a "real studio", its just a soundcard and a computer in my basement with some easy setup for writing ideas basically.

This is a young band called Black Saints, 3 young guys, and they have some cool ideas, and for those of you interested in details it looks like this:

Guitars was an Ibanez with stock pickups through a pod xt with a tubescreamer in front, bass was also an Ibanez that was d.i. playing with fingers, drums was played on my old Simmons el drumset, triggered by a D4 through drumkit from hell. Snare and kick replaced with some samples.

A MUSICAL CONCEPT WRITTEN AND COMPOSED BY SAMUEL ARKAN

« ORIGINS » is a concept album. Each song is based on an original story written by Samuel Arkan. The album relates the adventure of a profiler conducting a dark and disturbing investigation. His routine will fast be broken by unusual happenings as the story gradually unfolds, through thrilling and fantastic events.

The recording process is going on a the moment, and Oddleif will have to travel to Brussels 20/05, to record his vocal parts for the project.

"I have been getting the honor to "play" the darkest character in Origins. This will be a great task, and a challenge to do something different, unique and explore the deep within myself as a vocalist. I will surely discover new dimensions to my vocal through this project." - Oddleif Stensland.
