Current mood:  accomplished
It’s been a while, so I guess we should start by saying that a while back we won this contest. It was called “Breaking the Band” contest, put on by WeAreListening.org -- Because of this win, our music is now being spu n at 300 radio stations across the nation. If you want to, you can check out their website and learn all about the contest.

As for this summer, we are booking shows all the time. We hope to be hitting our favorite Texas cities like Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston. The ones on the schedule so far look like fun. There’s the St. Vincent After Party at The Mohawk, the Austin 360 Concert Series with Built By Snow, the tour kickoff show for The Rocketboys and our first time playing Bass Hall in Ft. Worth. We really hope you’re able to come out to a show before fall rolls around.

You might be glad to hear that writing has already begun for a second record, and there’s an EP in the works hopefully to come by winter’s end.

Did you see the March issue of Rare Magazine? We were happy to have a little feature in there during SXSW. Just click to view the March issue and scroll over to pages 18-19. Our friends Sounds Under Radio and The Rocketboys were in there too!

Likewise, Soundcheck Magazine invited us back for a second time. You can download and read their exclusive interviewWe're on pages 38-41. Enjoy the read.

We have what you call a “place-holder” website up right now, and we hope to have it off the ground by the end of the summer. It’s going to be the place to go for all the latest TST news, as well as where you folks out of town can sign up for the email list.

Don’t forget! The whole band is on Twitter now. Follow TST and follow each of us individually. The links to our personal pages can be found on the Myspace profile. Looking forward to your tweets!

There may be a little sonic surprise coming your way soon. So keep checking back with us because it will only make a short appearance. Hope all is well with you.

Cheers! – Todd, Chance, Patricia, Justin, and Drew

Hello everyone!

It has been far to long since we've updated you guys. First and foremost, thank you all for the incredible support for our record "Shapes." With your help, we reached #2 on the Waterloo Records Weekly Top 50, which is a huge accomplishment for us (we finished just behind a Texas legend, Willie Nelson). So THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. It has definitely been an amazing year so far, playing shows around Texas and releasing the record...So what are we up to next?

SXSW is quickly approaching, and we have plenty of dates for you all making it down to Texas to catch some shows. You can check out our calendar for all of the listings, but our big show will be on March 20 at Big Red Sun.

We've also lined up our CD release party in Austin at La Zona Rosa on April 4th. We will be joined by our good friends Pompeii and Jets Under Fire. We head to The Prophet Bar in Dallas on April 11th for our release party and add The Lings to the bill. Go and check out all three bands, they are all incredible!

After all of that? Well more shows will be lined up and hopefully we can hit the studio sometime late in the year and crank out some new songs for you guys.

Until then, for those of you who haven't checked out the record you can do so here:

Hey everyone!

As you probably have already noticed, a lot has been changing here on the MySpace page. We've got this great new layout all set up along with original artwork that coincides with our album art, a nice new bio and more songs!!! We're going to be having new promo photos very soon, so keep a lookout for those!

The new songs are off the recently released single "Cannons." It contains the original "Cannons", two remixes, and two b-sides never before heard. You can purchase this on Amazon and it will be on iTunes soon enough.

There are plenty of new shows lined up on the calendar and we'll only be adding more. The December 12th show at Antone's in Austin should be a blast! It's a Sea Change Record label showcase and it benefits the Blue Santa charity.

Also, be sure to pick up a copy of RARE magazine this December and you'll receive an attached compilation featuring three songs of ours.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and families. We did, and now it's back to work! As always, please let us know what you think of everything. We love hearing from you all. Take care!

Hello,
Hope you all had an entertaining Halloween this year. We sure did. This new video blog was taken at the Texas State Fair in Austin on All Hallows Eve. We played a show for the carnival-goers, but before performing, we had a chance to be carnival-goers ourselves. Watch to find out what happened...Enjoy!

Greetings...

Meet Chance Gilmore. He's the "new guy" in our family. Chance has been busting his butt to learn everything these past few weeks and we think he's extraordinary!

Meet also Casey McPherson, lead singer of Alpha Rev and our musical director for the next three weeks. He's really lighting a fire under our asses and we're getting down to the nitty gritty details in order to revamp the live set. We can't wait to get out there again, playing regularly!

Speaking of shows, the calendar has been updated and we've got some great lineups planned...Keep checking back for more dates.

October 18th at La Zona Rosa - Sounds Under Radio's CD RELEASE

October 24th at La Zona Rosa - POMPEII's CD RELEASE

November 7th at Beauty Bar with The Alice Rose

I've taken another crack at the video blog thing and I think I'm getting better. This video was shot in our new rehearsal space, where we are working with the music director nearly every night. Hope you like...

Hey you guys,

First off, thank you so much for all of your recent enthusiasm and inquiring about the new album. Its winter release will be here in no time. We are just as excited as you are. Believe me!

We know we've been out of sight for a while now, but we're definitely still alive and rehearsing for a new live set. Shows are starting to sneak back up onto the calendar, and we're more eager than ever to play them.

This is our first attempt at a video blog. It's short and sweet, but we hope you enjoy it. Perk your ears up for a new song that makes an appearance in there as well. It's called "In The Sky."

Until next time,
Patricia Lynn

Hello People!

We know we've been pretty quiet lately, but we wanted to give everyone a quick update. We hope you all caught MTV's The Real World last month when our song "Fevers and Fireworks" was played. We also just had a great show out at Antone's with Homer Hiccolm and The Rocketboys. We have also been slipping in and out of the studio finishing up the long recording process.

Now on to the good stuff going on now. We are getting ourselves moved into a practice space for the Summer to begin rehearsals for the Fall shows that will follow the release of our debut full-length. As I said before we are finishing up the recording process. Our producer and now good friend, Lars Goransson (What Made Milwaukee Famous, Alpha Rev), is putting the finishing touches on some of the tracks. We are also having two of the tracks mixed over the pond by Paul Stacy (Oasis). We will be sending all of it to be mastered by Howie Weinberg (The Killers, Spoon, Muse)

Lastly, as always we like hearing from everyone so drop us a line here on myspace or come hang out at a show. Here are the upcoming dates.

June 6th :: Dallas, TX :: The Cavern :: with Sounds Under Radio and Alpha Rev
June 20th :: San Antonio, TX :: Jack's Patio :: with Sounds Under Radio

This Fall is going to be a great one and a busy one. Lots of shows will be played and Cd's will be released. There will be new merch and a new live show. Oh, and did I mention three of us will still be in college, congrats to Todd who just graduated from UT! Anyways we are going to be busy, but we are excited with lots of good things coming up.

Take care,
Justin and Patricia

Hello friends...

It’s been a while since we’ve been in touch. We realize that we’ve been somewhat quiet and under the radar this past month, but it’s all for a good cause. We’ve been pretty swamped in the studio, toiling away on our debut full length album.

Speaking of the album, we really hope you’ll listen to the latest music we’ve put online as just a tiny bite of what is being released this coming fall. You might notice that there’s a completely different version of "The Silver". Do let us know what you think.

We also have a new video that’s been produced by VIMBY. It is posted on our profile for your viewing pleasure, and you can also find it here:

The Soldier Thread - A Video by VIMBY

There’s a lot of new stuff for your eyes and ears and we sincerely hope you check it all out! Maybe we’ll see you at one of these spaced-out shows. Take it easy people.

Cheers, Patricia

There may or may not be some exciting news that we've been dying to share with you...okay there is!

Since our last blog, we have signed to Sea Change Records, an indie label here in Austin. We have also begua work on our very first full length record. Yes, a record record. We are in the process of recording some of your favorite tunes, and some that your precious ears have never heard before. We just might give you a taste here in some upcoming shows.

Speaking of upcoming shows, the calendar is looking good right now. Don't forget to check out the SXSW Day Party at Antone's on March 14th.

Also, keep an eye out for the March issue of Soundcheck Magazine. We'll have a feature in that as well with more information about the new record.

Enjoy the new studio pictures we have up and stay in touch please.

Cheers, Patricia
