I had a dream last night. I was in the city on a tall hill, and tornadoes were in the distance. I saw them blowing down high rise buildings, and I had plenty of time to take cover. I spent that time looking for a safe place to hide, but in the end I had to resort to digging my hands into the grass. Laying flat on my stomach the tornado slowly passing over me. I was praying for everyone I could think of. Oh, and including me/ Anyways, I wrote this about it,
"Montessori" by David Harrod Jr.
How did you hold on?
In the storm
I was laying face on the ground
Barely surviving
And when I knew it was too late
I choked up started praying
I bunkered down and accepted my fate
And I was blown away
I guess it helps to have your wings
When it's time for flying
When it's over you can park on a tree
And find your way back home
Hey you, want you look at me
Finally I'm flying
And finally I'm free
From the chains of the world
Spinning on a super cycle
Life's tornado raffle
I think I heard them call my ticket
I'm hanging from a tree again
Eye to eye to butterfly
That makes me feel like a human
And I am
And you do
Look at you
How did you hold on?
In the storm
You always seem to use your head
Everything you were given
And I'm only capable of walk
Walking in circles
And you have the open sky
And the option to fly
Spinning on a super cycle
Life's tornado raffle
I think I heard them call my ticket
I'm hanging from a tree again
Eye to eye to butterfly
That makes me feel like a human
And I am
And it hurts, when I fall
