thanks toeveryone that came out to the show last night; we had a blast, and so did severon...its shows like this that make you realize what new orleans is really about...one big ass family. community in the purest form.  someone joked with da capa preta, "so what, are yall openning for face first and hawg jaw again?"  funny thing is, 10 years later, things are still the same in that respect, and we are damn proud of it.  long live new orleans family...fuck nagin, fuck bush, blanco, andd the rest of the cajun mafia....your money and plans to gentrify this city are miniscule in comparison to the spirit of small communities like ours and others around here. 

the tour: it ain't happenin...some more post katrina difficulties have popped up, and rendered us unable to follow thru. this is the just one of many obstacles that we will clear in due time. contrary to some rumors, THIS IS NOT THE LAST OF HAWG JAW.  we take the low points with the high, and in the end, you can't kill "dat ole hawg jaw."

merch: we now have shirts in s,l,xl, and 2xl, new cds, old cds, vinyl, and posters...we will have a paypal store set up shortly, but until then you can get them thru here...drop a line and we'll hook it up. emetic records will be releasing a gatefold of "don't trust nobody" with a bonus track, as well as a PICTURE DISC limited to 100 copies...also later this year, emetic will be releasing a discography cd which will include a dvd with videos and footage from the cd release show.

 

last weekend we did the video for "torn apart." 2 cases of beer, fried chicken, and 6 hours of footage later, we have this work of art, directed by david anthony (aka stitches) of solution 13 productions. we filmed this in our jam room in mid city new orleans. hope yall dig it. look for it in the near future on the "doom nation" dvd zine.

yall ain't gonna believe this,but we are really going to leave neworleans to play music..we'll be touring with brethrn in heaviness RUE for a couple of weeks in the beginning of october. we'll be hitting savannah, ga, atl, asheville,nc, richmond va, philly, lansing mi., cleveland, nashville,  little rock, & lafayette thus far..many thanks to steve from emetic and chris johnson for making this happen..if it were up to us, we'd ride out on three dry rotted tires, get four flats and turn around in slidell.  this will be happening sept. 29-0ct. 14th...also after this, we play a doom/metal fest in  san antonio on sat. oct 20, and play houston oct 19. the new cd will be out within a month... july 29th circle bar with face first and da capa preta. dates and venues for the tour will be up in about a week or two.

hey  yall...this is whats going on these days. first, our new full length will now be released on emetic records.  its due out on 9/19/06,and we'll be hitting the road fora couple of weeks around that time.  we'll be starting off in little rock and playing whereever else people dig us.  europe?? this release marks ten years of hawg jaw. we play a show on july 29th in new orleans with face first (ignorant assholes) and da capa preta, one of granthrax's many projects. the venue: circle bar at lee circle in new orleans. join us.  

mike's daughter's name is cypress madison. she is doing well; mike is getting use to changing diapers,etc. "brah...its like creole mustard."

niki has done a some killer upgrading on our website www.hawgjaw.com .we'll have some new merch up and will be able to accept payment via paypal. she also did the layout for our new cd, and will be handling the layout for our upcoming discography cd.  thats it.  hopefully have some tour dates next time...
