Thanks to all of you who attended our CD release party on June 5; you helped us tear the house down! We gained some new friends and rekindled old friendships. Also, thanks to Jungle Love, Aces Loaded and Tripmeter for sharing the stage with us; you rocked!

It's finally here, in our hands!! Yes, our new full-length CD is finished and ready to be seen and heard! Yaya!!! It's been a long haul, as we've been working on it since last year, due to financial hardships, but worth the wait. Thanks to Johnny "six pac" and Grant Hall at Touchwood Studios for making the songs come to life. Also, Cortney Bodnar worked on all the graphics and pics,,, thanks babe!
The songs are about life, if you listen I'm sure you can relate to a few of them. The music is a cross between classic hard rock and modern melodic pop-metal. If you'd like a copy, it's now available on CD Baby and itunes or through us personally.
We are working on some great opportunities which have come our way and are busy with promoting our new baby. If we're gigging in your area, come out and rock with us!

Hello friends and fans. Happy New Year!! It's been a long haul, but our new full-length CD is finally almost finished! Our new songs are mixed and mastered, but we're just waiting on getting our graphics done. This will all be completed by the end of February. I'm soo excited! We're working on a new promotional strategy, so I'll keep you posted as to what's happening.
Until then, our 2005 EP is still being sold on CDBaby and itunes, so if you don't have a copy, just click on the CDBaby link or go to itunes music store. Soon, our new music will be available too!

Hey everyone. It's been awhile since I've written, and I apologize for that, no excuses... me BAAAAD! Here's a quick update as to what's happening. Our new official website will soon be complete, as soon as Lona, (my administrative assistant and friend) and I are comfortable with maintaining the site; we just received training, thanks to the great people at Look Matters, so now it's practice time! I'll let you know for sure when it's finalized.
Also, our full length CD will be completed towards the end of October. It's been taking awhile, as our supposed "investor" backed out at the last minute, and so we had to build up enough moolah to pay for recording time before continuing on. On a good note, I'm ecstatic to say we received funding from FACTOR, so thanks to them, we're able to get things off the ground once more.
Next year we'll be on the road touring outside the province in support of our new CD, so keep an eye out for those dates.

Happy New Year!
Hello friends and fans! I hope everyone has had a fun and safe Christmas, with lots of good eats and drink. Thanks to all who celebrated Boxing Day and New Years Eve with us. It was a thrill of a ride, from what I remember, LOL.
The New Year has quickly approached us, and Sonic Orchid is hard at work, recording new original material, and as well, writing new tunes in the meantime, which is why we don't have a slew of live performances at the moment. We're taking our time with the recording this time, focusing on 4 songs for now. We'll be adding more tunes as we can, to complete a full-length in the near future. Look for the new material on this site and our website at www.sonicorchid.com towards the end of February. Our writing has definitely matured, and we've created a more progressive style compared to our previous EP. Don't get me wrong, it's still our signature Sonic Orchid style, just more creative, experimental and orchestrated, as I now use the keyboards as well. ( Yes, I'm also an ivory tickler as well as a 6-string plucker).
Keep checking back for new live performances in your area and come to say "Hi"; we'd LOOOOVE to hear from you all! Thanks for keeping us alive everyone!

Hi everyone!!! It's been awhile since I've last written, so... here I am, in the mortal flesh, to tell about our trials and tribulations. I did mention we're in the studio, recording new music. Well, due to unforseen circumstances out of our control, our studio time has been delayed for few weeks. Bummer, however, we will be hard at it during the November/December months. On a good note, we've been working on some brand spankin kick ass tunes which will knock your tabulas off.. (try and look that up in the dictionary kiddies). Yes, we will be in the holiday spirit during our time, possibly ingesting some yummy spirits along the way, LOL.. But seriously, we're having a great time working together on these tunes with many giggles, compromises and a few words.. if you know what I mean. It comes with the package, you can't agree on everything, so in the meantime, give out some wedgies girl!!
"Chaos" is our most recent baby we've been working on::::: we all know this world is hinged on chaotic measures these days, and we had to write about it to get it off our perky little chests. Our world is so fast paced; there seems to be so much disorder and purposeless living which has created utter confusion as to what truly living a holistic and meaningful life is. Basically, we all forget to stop and smell the flowers and just relax... breathe....1,2,3,4...Where's the love??? Compassion??? Empathy??? Ok, I know I'm rambling on, and on.. but, hey, where IS the love? Why are things so nuts? I won't say no more for now......Ah.. now I got ya thinking, muah, muah, muah..
Hey, we've been receiving alot of internet radio play.. stations such as Chemistry Set Radio, Dynamic Radio, Nette Radio and many others which are too many to mention. Also, our video for, "I Just Wanna Know" will be aired on DIRT TV, on Star Choice Satellite, a TV show which features indie artists and airs across Canada. Waaayyyy coooolll!! It's all baby steps, but each little success is so exhilarating and motivating. No, we won't stop now... we're on a roll and will keep trudging up that rocky mountain we call the music business (or game, respectively). There are many more opportunities I'm working on, so I'll keep you posted...
