I'm sitting here trying to think of the right way or words to use... because this is a very hard topic to write about!

ROBERT"P-FOLKS"PIERCE
NOVEMBER 2,1976-APRIL 27,2009


I've been wanting this blog for about 2weeks now, but each time I tried I couldn't even begin because my emotions overwelmed me each time... This blog and my words are dedicated to Robert "P-folks" Pierce... my Best-friend, love, Fam, idol... this man was my muse! I remember when I first met Robert... He would instanly demand attention when he stepped in a room... His voice for one demanded respect he was a STRONG Scorpio man, Passionant about his family friends and believes... he was always there for me no matter what... no matter the time, the date the hour he was THERE! Robert to me was a life saver, He always spoke of positivity... He always offered help in sticky situations he always asked "Is everything okay kish?" and "You good? Do you need anything?" and most of all "Need a ear? wanna talk about it?" He never passed judgement on me... or anyone! He was the perfect potna! The perfect FRIEND!

When people talk about the beauty in friendships they may share with people who they may have lost in their lives... sometimes I'm sure people will have to search for words to say, nice things to say about some people but with Rob he was all around positive... everything comes naturally when speaking of him. Listen when I say this to you, Robert was one of the very few people I've ever met that actually made me feel SPECIAl... or that I was special. He always made me feel important... He always made me feel like somebody :)

My mama Loved Robert to deff... seriously! She loved her some rob... she used to tell me I needed to marry him when I grew up (This is when we was younger) when we was teens... lol... but our connection was deep because he was like my Bestfriend!

The hardest thoughts I have now, is the fact that as I said, has always been there... for everything!! When my mother passed away in 2003 Rob was right there for my family... he was right there by my side before the funeral...after.. uptill the day I found out he had passed away! i actually seen P drop a tear at my moms funeral... that was love, That showed me alot! I knew we was close growing up but... he confirmed his dedication to friendship! He had my back! Now, I think....  back and trip... I would have never thought almost 6 1/2 years later I would have to deal with the PAIN in his loss! He was my backbone when my Mother passed and now my backbone is gone (Physically) altho I still feel his spirit my heart aches.

Alot of people think they know me, but naw... NO ONE know me like rob did... Rob is probley the only person who knows the inside personal scoop of my family history  And I'm sure that is the reason he was so down for me.

The last time I seen Robert, I would have not ever thought that would have been the last... and the last time I heard his voicemail, or seen his incoming call... The last time I spoke to rob we sat in the car in front of taco bell lol and he put his cd in the player and let me hear all his new shit... He was excited about music, I remember the last conversation we had, I was going thru some drama and I had just moved to Atlanta a few months prior and he listened and never passed judgement on my words... During that convo we talked about him coming to Atlanta for June or July sometime in the summer...

The day I found out Rob passed away Tallcan called me, I was actually on the other line so I missed his call but then he called again and again and I tripped like why is he blowing me up? sumthing must be up... when I called him back... I could hear it in his voice, I could hear sadness... my heart got heavy. It was a feeling that something bad happened to someone we mutually knew, But Robert would have NEVER...NEVER been on the mind as the one... I'm sure Tall was crying cause his voice was very shaky... He say's "Kish you hear about P? I said P? I'm like... in my mind instantly Robert? He say's "P-folks"?... I'm like.......... naw, what's up? he got quiet... and said "P passed away today" and I tripped like huh, naw... wait... naw... Robert? I tripped, I went somewhere else... He wasn't talking bout rob... that shits just too close to home... I know this sounds crazy, but I was in a state of disbelief... I'm sure I asked him about 3-4 times if he was sure it was Our Robert, Our P-folks... and not a mistake... he told me he passed away in his sleep, He said he went to sleep and never woke up...

My heart is heavy as I type this blog now, I still can't believe he is gone, it's so unbelievable it doesn't feel real. I feel lost. You just never expect things like this to happen and so close to home.

I'm going to close this with saying, I loved that man with all of my heart! He will be truely missed for as long as I live and until that day comes for me to see him again, I will forever hold the Pfolks legacy in my heart! He is forever enbedded in my heart and that makes me feel just a little bit better...

Rest in peace Robert! See you on that one sweet day babe!

PLEASE HELP ME FIND MY SISTER CARLENA TURNER

Last I heard her mother "cookie" moved her from Oakland to Louisiana in the 80's... Carlena should be 23-24 yrs old. and I haven't seen her since she was a Newborn... I try not to share too much personal info but this is very important to me, especially with my birthday being tomorrow.I think about Carlena often...

I was raised in a broken home in Oakland California. Mom's was a single parent and pops... well he wasn't around. There is 3 of us. My oldest sister Samantha Turner whom I met at 15... myself and Carlena Turner..  only thing we all share in common is our Father, and our Lastname...... I haven't seen Carlena in over 20 years...


Well I think her birthday is in April, she should be about 23yrs old... and as I said last I heard her mother relocated to Louisiana. Our Father's name is Carlos Turner and Carlena's moms name is..Gloria..I think, but I know her nick name is "Cookie". Limited information huh?? well...Thanks dad!

While yesterday we commemorate the life of Notorious B.I.G. with the release of his Notorious biopic, another musician lost her life too soon. Aaliyah Haughton would have turned 30 years old. Think about that. Babygirl would be grown up, perhaps married (to Damon Dash?) on her 7th or 8th album with a few more movies under her belt. Aaliyah would have raised many young girls to become grown women and come to understand that sex doesn't always sell. She would have continued the movement of real dance in music videos, choreographed but with a flair that only a true dancer/singer could bring.

Aaliyah would probably have had a clothing line for girls who hate dresses but still want to look sexy. She would have done more for the cause of Breast Cancer in honor of her favorite aunt. Aaliyah would have been 30 years old. Think about that. While we always remember the deaths of our favorite artists, today we honor the birth. We're sad to have lost Aaliyah, but we're so thankful we had her for the 22 years that we did. So Happy 30th Birthday, Miss Haughton. Party it up in heaven for us and tell B.I.G. and Pac to turn the volume up, so we can all hear them performing together.
