Good Sirius Rising! Happy Birthday to Me (August 5) !! And also to President Obama (August 4). Yes, we are one day apart, same year! Now THAT’s SIRIUS!!! 

It’s my birthday, and I‘ll write to my friends and fans if I want to... (I wanted to get this out on my birthday. I celebrate for eight days, so I am still within that window.....) I have been getting up early to see Sirius Rising. However, I live in a valley, and so I see it later than I am used to. Maybe this morning will be the one...


Space Weather News for August 11, 2009:
The Perseid meteor shower is about to peak. The show begins after sunset on Tuesday, August 11th, and continues until the sun rises on Wednesday, August 12th. A time of particular interest is 0800-0900 GMT (1-2 a.m. PDT) on the 12th.  That's when Earth is expected to pass through a denser-than-usual filament of dust from Perseid parent Comet Swift-Tuttle.  Forecasters are unsure what will happen, but some have speculated that meteor rates could surge as high as 200 per hour. Bright moonlight will blot out many of those Perseids, but even a fraction of 200 is a good show.

Today is the second day of True Leo. It began on August 10. I have documented my findings on this over the years at http://www.tchiya.com. Where am I with this at the moment? I feel that the Babylonian Zodiac, the system that we are all familiar with, does have a bit of truth in it. However, it is not what you think. It merely describes the location of the Earth during it’s orbit around the Sun. It has nothing to do with the stars, constellations or even one’s destiny. The sectors of the elliptical orbit around the Sun are named after 12 constellations along the ecliptic. They are usually referred to as Sun Signs, but no one really notices this. The True Zodiac reflects the actual motions of the Sun as it travels across the stars in the sky. Visit the calendar page at tchiya.com to see what sign you really are. I used to call these sidereal signs, but this is what they call the astrology system in India, and even this system is based on the orbit around the Sun, not the Sun passing through the constellations. From here on, I will refer to these signs as the True Zodiac. According to the Truth, I am a Cancer. Here on Earth, I am a Leo. I will get back to posting celestial info once the new album is done. Which by the way, is named Celestial Folk Music.


Many of you might be wondering what has been going on? Where have I been? How’s the family? Well, those are all very good questions. The best way I can answer this is, “Physician, Heal Thy Self”. I have commented on this at length at the Way of the Lotus page at tchiya.com. Probably just like many of you, I have been going through HUGE relationship changes. I have been doing much work in the area of “KNOW THYSELF, TRUST THYSELF, LOVE THYSELF” in order to come back stronger than ever before with this musical healing message and vibration. I have also been moving steadily in the direction to become more self-sustaining, self-sufficient, and self-reliant. How? acutonics! www.cosmic.tchiya.com


Been having lots of problems with internet service. This is the main reason why it has taken me so long to upload new photos and videos: my service is interrupted for 2 days when I go over my bandwidth. Living in the country has its advantages, and this is one of it’s disadvantages!

As for the music, the new album, still in the works, is entitled, “Celestial Folk Music”. Most of this was recorded in Brasil. It is currently in the mixing stage at a studio called, Universal Balance in Arcata here in Nor Cal. Perfect for a project that is grounded in Maat. It is starting to feel like I am making preparations for giving birth. Since it is not finished yet, I will tell you a little bit about some of the songs. Half of the songs are about the stars, and three of them are about Sirius the star and one of those is about the Divine Mother Aset/Yemaya/Emma Ya/Isis. Here are the titles and brief descriptions:

No Kwsi Iga: Original Tsalagi (Cherokee) song about many of the things I love about the Four Seasons and life on Planet Earth. The title’s translation is Star Days: 365 days around our favorite star, the Sun.

Equinox: Brasilian Jazz rendition of John Coltrane’s classic tune, with original lyrics written by Tchiya Amet El Maat. I wrote these lyrics way back when my girls were students at the Arbol de Vida Homeschool. I wanted to teach them about the Equinox. I wrote to Alice Coltrane many years ago, and only obtained official permission after she passed away in January 2007. She died while I was in Rio recording this music. At first, the attorney told me that the family was no longer giving people permission to write lyrics to their father’s music. Since I had a letter from her stating that she liked my lyrics, they decided to listen to her spirit. I am the very last person that will be able to do this. In fact, I am the first person to write lyrics that actually deal with the Equinox. The attorney wrote me back stating that he had to look up Precession of the Equinox, as it is from a line in the song.

“Where the Dog Ran”: is actually a Cherokee myth about the Creation of the Milky Way. This is a song for children of all ages....Since it is a song about stars, and a dog, you guessed it, this is one of the songs about Sirius, also known as the Dog Star. Maybe it never actually says it is about Sirius, but how could it not be????? If you want to learn more about sirius, you know where to go: tchiya.com Sirius page!

Ast Maat/R U Sirius Enuff: is a song about my devotion to the Divine Mother. It is a song that teaches us about Maat and her principles. This song features the talents of one of Rio’s finest: singer/songwriter Aleh Ferreira. He added a beautiful rap/poem in Portuguese on this track. When I first learned of Aleh well over a decade ago, he was playing with a band named Bantus. The musicians in this band did much of the recording on this album. There are so many people to thank and give credit. For now, some of the other members of Bantus that recorded on this project: Sidao Olivera on bass and Glaucio Martins on flute and sax, as well as Ronaldho on drums on one track. Obrigada Bantus! I am very grateful to Antonio Dionisio for bringing us all together and making this wonderful music possible...Have I mentioned the producer in previous emails, yet not this one? no waaaay!! Eugenio Dale at pactocombaco studio in Rio Comprido, Rio de Janeiro, BRASIL. This CD is not just a recording project, it has been a journey!!!

Not all songs are about the stars! There is also Master of Desire, from the Bhagavahd Gita (Hindu; India) Esho Funi and Keep Chanting, with teachings from Nichiren (Japanese) Buddhism. Teachings from the East. This collection of songs presents teachings from the Four Directions, just as the Lakota and Hopi have inspired us to seek out.... Some of this music is Reggae, some is World Music with a Brasilian flavor, and some is from out of this world!!! Stay tuned....

I made the determination to return to Brasil with the completed CD in hand. ouch. thought it would have been done by now. Soooo, instead, I am traveling north....tomorrow! Remember 3 years ago when I posted the story about the baby girl born in Sinixt Country?

 




The tribe that has been declared extinct? Well, I have been invited to go there and meet some of the people from this incredible nation. My good friends up in BC, Gretchen and Alex Peacemaker are making this happen. These folks are responsible for getting the Light House Band up to Canada a few years ago, and they are still two of my biggest fans and closest friends within the Reggae and World music community. This was a great moment! This was taken after the Native Contemporary Arts Festival, at the Intertribal Friendship House in Oakland. We were outside waiting to go in, when the sister stopped me and asked if i had performed earlier that day. She told us that she "had been resting, enjoying the beauitful Solstice weather, when she heard one of her tribal songs, in her own language, IN REGGAE!!!!"

It is always a pleasure, joy and honor to stop and chat with Buffalo, truly a liiving historical figure, existing purely in the moment and ready for the future!

Back when Lakota 4 Directions was first released in 1999, it received much airplay. Only two Lakota Elders had issue with the song being played over the radio. They said it was sacred. They didn't have a problem with me singing it or recording it. One Elder made me vow that I would always introduce this song in a special way. Chief Arvol liked it back then, and he still likes it, 10 years later! At the festival, Chief Arvol sang the song as part of the healing ceremony he conducted at Buena Gardens. I had the honor of singing it for him and everyone else later that day. It was a great day. Thanks so much to Janeen for organizing this event!

A Joint Resolution claiming sovereignty under the



Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United



States over certain powers; serving notice to the



federal government to cease and desist certain



mandates; and directing distribution.



WHEREAS, the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United



States reads as follows:



"The powers not delegated to the United States by the



Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to



the States respectively, or to the people."; and



WHEREAS, the Tenth Amendment defines the total scope of federal



power as being that specifically granted by the Constitution of the



United States and no more; and



WHEREAS, the scope of power defined by the Tenth Amendment means



that the federal government was created by the states specifically



to be an agent of the states; and

WHEREAS, today, in 2008, the states are demonstrably treated as



agents of the federal government; and



WHEREAS, many federal mandates are directly in violation of the



Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States; and

v. United States, 112 S. Ct. 2408 (1992), that Congress may not



simply commandeer the legislative and regulatory processes of the



states; and



WHEREAS, a number of proposals from previous administrations and



some now pending from the present administration and from Congress



may further violate the Constitution of the United States.



NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES



AND THE SENATE OF THE 2ND SESSION OF THE 51ST OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE:



THAT the State of Oklahoma hereby claims sovereignty under the



Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all



powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal



government by the Constitution of the United States.



THAT this serve as Notice and Demand to the federal government,



as our agent, to cease and desist, effective immediately, mandates



that are beyond the scope of these constitutionally delegated



powers.



THAT a copy of this resolution be distributed to the President



of the United States, the President of the United States Senate, the



Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, the Speaker

Bob GrayWolf: She:kon (Greetings!): There are many Nations now in the process of signing the Declaration in US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The first "group" gathering for a signing will take place on July 11, 2008, in Washington, D.C., at the conclusion of The Longest Walk. Many Nations are signing the Declaration on their own at a private ceremony. If you sign the Declaration on behalf of a Nation, it should be done by as many Elders of the Nation as possible (include their titles, if any), listing as many witnesses as possible (you can make copies of the last page of the Declaration for signing by individuals - that last page is also a witness page - you shoul;d include names and addresses of those signing - email addresses and phone numbers would be useful). The One Nation is in the process of forming the Native Court, through which The One Nation will assert its sovereignty. All Nations will have the opportunity to participate. The point is that The One Nation does not really have sovereignty until it asserts it positively, such as through the Native Court, issuing its own orders under its own laws. We thereby access international courts. We have the help of Dr. Kly, Professor of International Law, University of Regina, who has over 40 years of experience in such matters (although what we are doing is a"first" even for Dr. Kly). My friend, Chief Iron Thunderhorse- of the Algonquian Confederacy of the Quinnipiac tribal Council (CT, USA), told me about your "Declaration of Sovereignty of The One Nation". I believe that Chief Thunderhorse may want to sign your declaration, and I was told that he is very inspired by it!



I am the California Clan Chief for the "United Cherokee Nation" and I would like to tell our principal Chief- "Stone Bear Phillips" about your declaration. I want to sign the declaration and I will ask Chief Stone Bear and the tribal Council for permission to do just that! I know we cannot travel to your next meeting, but EVEN SO, HOW CAN WE SIGN ONTO THE DECLARATION? Please tell me if we can and how to do it. (When I say "we", I mean Chief Thunderhorse of the CT Quinnipiac tribe, and my group- the United Cherokee Nation.) I will download the text of the Declaration, but to what address do I send it?
