Kiddah, howdie n aight to ma good people n yarae of the cool persuasion. Consider this the update on all things me, gid music and banging liveness. NEW RELEASES - 2009 MAFFI / MUNGOS HIFI - Flying High - 7" (Jahtari Records)500 pre-orders and counting without the record even being available. It will be at the end of March however so all those who know severe quality say aye n add this cute little 7" (its almost as cute as me but not quite) to your collection. Its out on Jahtari (that cool digi reggae label) and the first of many releases with my new family. Flying high is another puffing tune with a killer bass melody, grinding synth and thumping beats and it badly wants to wreck your system. Produced by Maffi (Jahtari) and remixed by my long running Fam Mungos Hifi and laced with love i find it highly delightful and so do you. (No Jedi mind trick required...order now)!!! www.jahtari.org - Go HERE NOW!!! NO STEP - The No Refunds EP - OUT APRIL 14th (NSP001) - GB ZPG 00001 09Yes, im gutted, the release was pushed back...darn digital distributors. Oh well, as is the way with trying to run a label whilst creating a legendary status...tough life but it will come out so just wait. Patience is a biscuit remember. This is coming out on our own label No Step Productions and the is the first release so expect it to be banging. We aim to spread nothing ...but the highest quality productions to the keen ears of millions. Be one in that million. Order it on CD or buy it digitally when the release date comes. Hagos of No Step is currently engineering for Marianne Faithful and The Rifles who rocked Glasgow recently yet still manages to do all NSP label and outfit work. He truly is a hero. Check it out, listen and buy: www.myspace.com/nostepprojectBELOW: NO STEP: SOOM T & HAGOS (A good looking duo) DISRUPT and SOOM T - Live gig download @ Art School in GlasgowDownload the live set from the Glasgow gig in October 2008. It's done the rounds in Europe and they love it and sing along to the freestyle. Mental. On a further listen, I agree that it would rock the socks of the Queen dancing with a naked bear against the wind in a hailstorm. Go to: www.jahtari.com and go to the mixtapes section which is a computer simulated stack of old school cassette mixtapes. Genius. I love it. Forward is back to the future. Above: The antics of a fanny. TOURING
Im gigging hard, Im gigging fast while keeping various multiples in check. Most of the time I think small thoughts like wondering how Greggs get the coconut to stick on snowballs without dipping the whole thing in thick icing. Its actually quite clever. Apparently they spray the icing on in halves and then stick the halves together with more icing. I tried making snowballs and deary me, what a mess i made, got sugary dough all over my squirrel with baws apron. Nuts. Anyhoo, my touring is taking me far and wide and not just with one crew although my favourite so far has to be Jahtari. He is my better looking, high rocking, less odd, slightly more professional, as talented (modesty gets yeh naywhere), original, eclectic, blonder twin and our shows certainly reflect that indeed. Ill also be gigging with Jazz veterans Spontaniacs with new line up including the debonair Haftor Medboe the Jazz solo guitarist of genie-aye proportions and clever wordsmith Solareye (ex rapper of DOPE), calum the electrictrifying drummer not to mention the formulator Dave Conway. Should be good so get down to the Sage in Newcastle on April 18th 2009. ABOVE: DISRUPT & SOOM T. 2009. As for other festies not played with a crew, band or digital reg producer, the sets can only be described as bangin. With DJ Ersk One at the helm and a bundle of banging riotous well cut skankin beasts, expect nothing less than a full on riot All the dates are on the site so check them out, list them and come. They are frequently updated so if im in your country and area come and say hello and i promise to sing you songs and slag you off (in an endearing manner of course) and possible let you sample Scotlands favourite Wine...Buckfast also known as Buckie. BURNS UNIT ( www.myspace.com/burnsunitheband The burns unit is progressing on a slow burner (forgive the pun) which one may come to expect when dealing with a posse of super musicians who are busy with their own world domination plans. Most of the album is recorded and it was recorded with the sun shining outside and it sounds deadly. Auld Rab himself wid be proud. If your ears start burning, blame us! DISCLAIMER: If your ears actually do burn it's nothing to do with us. Someone is probably gossiping about you. Burns Unit music sooths only. If any adverse reactions are experienced, stop listening immediately and consult a shrink. I can recommend a couple of good ones but you'll have to wait until they're out of rehab.Check the Burns Unit Live at Homegame in Fife on April 17th 2009.BELOW: BURNS UNIT - Micheal Johnson, Kim Edgar, Mattie Foulds, Emma Pollock, Soom T, Kenny Anderson, Karine Polwart & Sushil K Dade. LIVERPOOLGood Vibrations rocked big time. It was boss. I love the scousers. They treated me like a long lost scouse and rock HARD...like the devil headbanging at midnight on the edge of a knife with a bottle of whisky injected into his veins while eating a live goat which squeals...Whose baaaad... I adore them, their accents (which tops my accents top 5 list) and when they visit Glasgow, open your doors and unplug yer tellies, rocking, talking comically in a Brookie accent and producing Scouse House are their only interests. Ask them to say "Take the Cake I baked and eat it for fuck Sake..." Warning: When surrounded by so many scousers chatting away you will feel like you have walked into an episode of Brookside. Dont worry, you're not. Shout outs: Paddy (DJ XED), James, Mr Thomas, Presto, Mick and the rest of Good Vibrations. I love you all and we will rock together again soon. :) DUBPLATESIve recorded so many I honestly can't count them if i tried (and i have tried) but no worries, ill put the count back to one again and keep dubplating. If you require a dubplate, send the track to: nostep@live.co.uk with the instructions, shout outs, crew names and anything else you want dropped including a preference of track or freestyle if you are happy with a new rendition. The recording will be sent back within 28 days with the completed version and master recording sent on reciept of payment. Dubplates are unique copies of a record with a specially recorded vox for live spinning only. You cannot make copies for sale or a seperate deal must be requested. You can play it out live in your DJ Sets and put it on your websites but no pressing and distributing. Simple as that really. Dubplates prices vary. E-mail me for packages (yes very professional I know but it has to be done as the taxman is now on my case and everything has to be done legally and above board). Payments can be sent by Western Union or Paypal. The next session I do will be on Monday May 11th 2009 and they will be delivered within the 14 days so get the tracks to me and wait for that dubplate, freshly baked and especially for you. CONKERSIntroducing the Conkers. A banging 8 to 10 piece I double handedly put together with fellow musical colleague Jonjo since 2006 so over 3 years now. When people talk about their projects being their babies I can finally say I understand that concept. Conkers was truly a big idea and highly ambitious project idea concieved by myself and good friend, engineer, producer and all round muso good guy, the Dundalk originating Jonjo Duggan, an Irish wonder. It all began with some songs written with just myself and Jonjo and his playful accordian eventualy being built upon to include instrumentalists from many backgrounds. It was a slow developing project which took some serious organisation but one that we knew would go down like a nuclear weapon when we finally decided to unleash it, such was the power of the songs we were beginning to formulate and finish at Verden Studios in Portabello. Now after 3 years, countless studio sessions, thousands of emails, hundreds of phone calls and buckets of blood, sweat and tears, the Conkers are ready to present their debut show and will be supporting Supergrass at the Square Festival in Wales in July 2009. Although still in it's final inception stage, we decided to offer a sneak preview to a promoter who actually insisted us to put it together after hearing only a few songs which he recieved accidentally so it is really the Square Festival we have to thank for shoving myself, Jonjo and our baby "Conkers" into the deep end, breeding our confidence in the knowledge that when the Conkers debut album is complete and ready to go, a dangerous and explosive new Gypsy Rock band await the World's public. Described as Gogol Bordelloesque raving with Cypress Hill while bouncing to Disney soundtracks, we aim to Rock so don't miss the show as the next Conkers show will not be until 2010 when the album will be unleashed on an unsuspecting public. Conkers Manager: Sumati & Jonjo (E-mail: nostep@live.co.uk) For all bookings: nostepbookings@live.co.uk The myspace for Conkers will be up shortly so hold onto your socks. VIDEOSI've collected some cool videos of performances over the years and the next step will surely be to upload them all for you to see so they will be available on the site shortly. AND OTHER SHENANIGANS Bangface should be nuts. They rave old school style. Looking forward to touring with Jahtari and meeting my cousins in Norway for the first time. They are now about 25 and they are twins and they have agreed to come to the gig to meet their Glaswegian cousin for the first time in their life. What a shocker eh? Could you imagine being contacted by me and told that I'm your cousin and invite you along to see me abuse a Norwegian crowd while singing about puffing weed all day? I'm sure they'll like me. I'll take a couple of pre-rolled just incase. Nose to the grind, grind to the ground and thats the way it goes around. If I don't see you, have a riot, listen good and rock hard. Your forever available for a blether Soom T :)

Greetings Surface people Long time no speak and to be true, long time no update. The reason for that? The truth? Too busy AND I was on a mission to discover the centre of the earth. I also haven't updated my gigs which I apologise for but they take a while to update and when it came to tour dates and the like I find any my space updating business very quickly embeds itself to the back of the old mind and by the time I remember to put up dates and updates too much time has passed and besides Rico (you know who you are son) is supposed to be responsible for it. He takes my updates but doesn't put them up as he smokes far too much for an old man. Okay, he's only 25, but still, get a grip Rico or ill come over to Denmark, steal your weed, beat you up and traumatize you (although you'll probably enjoy the last bit, the last two bits in fact). For anyone who thinks they recognize the name, Rico is a famous Danish model for a popular Vodka. Yes, look him up and ladies get out the Andrex, I employed him for his wonderful organizational skills. Anyhoo…What have I been doing since 2007? Well…. I've been gigging hard and fast over the UK and doing the dirty Euro festivals. Videos for those will be up soon. I now tour with DJ's and posse including a Gypsy Rock band when I can take them with me. Expect a mixed random rockfest of tunelage and all decent tunes recorded between 2000 and now so nearly a decade of quality shizzam. CONKERS We were Me, You and yer man and now after a lengthy break, we became The Conkers, a gypechno tinged rock folk act. They are Jonjo aka Gandalf (Accordian/DJ/Producer), Adam (Fiddle/Violin), Chris (Drums/Percussion), Soom (vocals), Alistair (Bass), Dan Drayne (Guitar), Emily (Additional Vocals) and various others but the above being core. "The music is original and rips the cunt right out of anything you'll have heard before" That was a genuine drunken Scot review. The live 'Conkers' shows will be coming with me the next time and have become a tasty segment of the between 2-3 hour act (which is average for most of ma gigs these days) so feel free to make one if you are in the vicinity. The Gypechno (genre name a working progress) album by Conkers will be finished completely on January 1st with the release shortly afterwards so hold onto your saddles for this will be one ride you didn't expect. We have been described as a superior Gogol Bordello which I tend to agree with despite the over indulgent boastful quality of the aforementioned statement although Gogol rock it big time and I do speak better English which gives me a slight advantage on the English vox fron REVIEWS: "Eccentric Eastern tinged punk style Gypsy Rock with heart wrenching accordion melodies, high speed danceable grooves and exceptionally soulful and intriguing vocal talents of Scottish Underground legend Soom T." JTR Magazine, Luxembourg ROOT 8 The album is still underway. I'll say no more except that my old Monkey tribe buddy Griff has re-joined his old tune mate to resurrect some excellent musical magic from the depths of his tunefully mischievous soul. They are already shaping up to be belters. Nice one G. MUNGOS HIFI and SCOTCH BONNET I've been recording some more quality with the lads, Tom, Doug and Craig and you will hear them when they come out so until then, go away and listen to something else such as anything from Scotch Bonnett. Those finely peppered reggae meisters of the Weej have been too busy again. I say 'too' busy because these dudes work a lot even by my standards but I still get time to watch videos at night and smoke weed (I quit since I wrote this and added this to be sure) whilst listening to the recorded tunes of the day. I also have time to cook 2 meals a day so I do take it easy even though I work … well, like a workhorse. Anyhoo, after the 2, 10" vinyl's released in 2007, 2008 has seen them release their debut album, and shit hot it is too so go and buy it and you'll hear that I'm on it as-well making it an even better buy. They also have various other releases so check their site via my top friends and have a sneaky. SMART EYE The Smart Eye Newspaper is a monthly newspaper created, printed and distributed by myself to various outlets within Scotland and posted to the few subscribers in Europe who have already seen the benefit of reading such a publication. The Smart Eye is a newspaper aimed at individuals tired and disillusioned with the celebrity litter which deserves a place only as an under carpet layer or toilet paper and not serious news adorning our breakfast tables. How dare they? So order your copy now. The first bona fide episode will be available on January 1st in all good shops. Annual subscription only £10 and that includes postage. Send a cheque/postal order payable to 'Smart Eye' to: Smart Eye Newspapers, 11 Southpark Avenue, Glasgow, G12 8JA. MINI BURNSONG WITH RURAL KIDS – August 2008 Was amazing and it was brilliant to work with the youth and have music and the performance be all about the youth we met and not about our own musical careers. What a delightful experience and I will surely be working with the youth from rural domains again as I had far too good a time going on tour with the great bunch in August. Lets not forget, some of the songs written by them are worthy of becoming hits and they were all far superior to anything by James Blunt (without insulting the waynes too much) including little 5 year old Ryan's song 'Don't put me down' which could bring a tear to the eye of a glass monkey. Maybe you should book James Blunt the next time Kim and he could get some tips off Ryan although Blunt probably wouldn't pass the disclosure as he 's a consumer of illegal substances AKA a he's a cokehead so that rules that poor idea out. Och well, better luck next time. Back together with Kim, Sushil, Karine and Mattie and it was like the Burnsong re-united but without a few key characters missing although we did gain Karines heroic brother Steven so all in all we had it nailed. The kids made it worth it all the same and represented for the musos of the world. I think we'd all agree…Nice.
MAFFI / DISRUPT / JAHTARI I have recently been putting my head together with Jahatari's Jan (the man with many aliases) to devise some new hybrid reggae rock n roll tunes (I call it Rockgae music although I wouldn't be throwing that name about in Bennetts). Expect them shortly. Ill be joining the crew for gigs in Leipzig with the first in Glasgow alongside Da Mungos Hifi on October 24th at the Art School. Expect to see you all there. BURNS UNIT Yes, that's what the Burnsong posse is now called. After much deliberation and about a 1000 emails a week the Burns Unit is now a living breathing musical machine. All that can really be said is…"ya'll be waatchin dat space naow…!!" That was meant to be a Jamaican accent but as with most of my accents sounds like a hybrid of Irish, Japanese, Ozzy Mexican and Didgeridoo. MARRIAGE I always said I wouldn't do it but I've decided to marry a cute younger guy with blue eyes and a very sexy demeanor. What more could a girl ask for in a husband except a slave personality and a big c….! I won't be inviting a lot of people. It will be private and reasonably small, 50 odd mates in another country, somewhere hot and wearing only a bikini made out of ice and a fur coat. However if you don't get invited don't worry and do get offended. It means I don't like you very much! (I was dumped since I wrote this…so…any takers?) Answers on a postcard with a box of chocolates, anything from Jane Norman size 16 to an 18 and a score note (new ideally, I like the crisp smell and the way the Queen looks younger on the new ones) to me at the corner of Sauchiehall Street infront of that smelly pub Driftwood where I'll be selling the Smart Eye with a Council license hanging around my neck shouting "Evening Times" since it seems to have the right effect. So until the storms come Let us all be like one and dont pass to me as I'm trying to quit Luv ya'll, sub, dub, rubadub and a big bear hug Soom T

TOLCHA VS SOOM T
SEND DEM KIDS TO WAR
Meta Polyp
Al-Haca collaborators Tolcha, Berliners hailing from the bass-obsessed Meta Polyp family, are part of a global movement determined to shake a polyglot sense of promise out of "urban" music by applying steadily increasing subwoofer pressure. "Void" channels splintered-wood glitches into a rippling dancehall pattern flecked with hand drums and Asian-influenced strings; in top form on the record, MC Soom T sticks to the low end of her range, weaving menacingly in and out of the tuned drums. It's not radically different from Timbaland and Missy Elliot's work from a few years back, but as club music goes, it still comes as a minor revelation. The buzzing, ragga-meets-electrohouse bounce of "What About Us" might be harder going depending upon your tolerance for its burnished, doubletracked vocal hook. Far better, the doubletime "Send Dem Kids to War" might be the only dancehall track that might feasibly find its way into a Justice set. Jahcoozi, Eva Be and Al Haca all offer remixes, of which the latter is the standout: uncomfortably balancing woozy triplets and a swung Schaffel-house rhythm, it sounds almost like one of Thomas Brinkmann's classic double-tone-arm variations.

Soom T V Tolcha – Out on October 10th 2007
Ola peeps. T'as been a while since i've chatted to youz but i've been a busy bee. Here's the press release for the collaboration with Berlin crew Tolcha with a serious me and some quality remix prods come together to get...well...well…serious. I'll post a full new update on my shenans when i get the time so for new, check oot the info and listen tae ma tunes...oot in October...so until then...luv n slinky dub...fae...soom t..
SOOM T V TOLCHA - SEND DEM KIDS TO WAR (Press Release) It's no newsflash that techno and dubstep have been crushing on each other, but with Al Haca, Stereotyp and Tolcha, the flirtation is consummated. After Al Haca's great "Family Business" Release on Meta Polyp, partners in crime Tolcha drop 3 new essential tunes with many remixes. Again its a family affair, so no other than Al Haca themselves, Jahcoozi and the great Eva B are on the Remix Tip. Steady rhyming from Glasgow Mc Soom T (known from collabos with T. Raumschmiere, Bus, Daniel Meteo) demand serious speakers or headphones. Tolcha are stretching from laidback digital dancehall to low-end detail and dub space. Bass Music is crossing a lot more borders now. A lot of people can relate to Dubstep, so even though Tolcha or Al Haca havent changed its recipe, suddenly more people seem to understand that style. Wutt u call it? Avant-garde - postmodern hackers ?! Especially with the Eva B Remix the sound of Tolcha should become more accessible, touching the outer perimeters of pop and getting approval from radio&club. Don't cue this one unprepared.
Release: 19.10.07 Label: Meta Polyp Format: Digital (Finetunes)

Aloha fellow earthlings…
..:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
First of all. HAPPY NEW YEAR from a Galaxy far far away. Here's hoping 2007 is a smashing and enlightening year for you all.
Without further ado…here is the update:
NO STEP
The No Step album is seriously underway. Myself and No Step Production partner Hagos have decided not to rush it and are taking our time to make sure we get everything sounding perfect. The most important thing is for us to make songs that we feel amazing listening to and only when they are awe inspiring to our ears will they be near good enough for anyone else's. The tracks, parts, vocals and ideas are going back and forward like a little white ball at a Japanese Ping Pong tournament so there is definitely a unique bridge being built ensuring only the most creative and inspiring songs are entered onto the album sometimes meaning we scrap weeks of work if it doesn't quite fit. I have never been so excited about anything in my entire life. A big big big up to Hagoooos…a semi discovered genius!
Check out the myspace and join the revolution. www.myspace.com/nostepproject
BURNSONG
The Burnsong house was a riot. We were like the Jackson 5 plus Janet and their parents although I won't start pointing out who was who but I was definitely…dare I say it…nah…well I wont then. Anyway, it was great and all of that info is on the main page so have a squidge at the photos and chat about that. It was a productive week. The future should see the Burnsong crew get together again in 2008 for some more rural gigfest shenanigans. Many great songs were written during that time warp of a week with the ones I collaborated on being recorded for several projects. More about that later so stay tuned.
ROOT 8
This year Root 8, the fabulous Roots label run by Mr. Ken McCluskey will not be releasing a compilation of Roots tracks by various artists. Instead it will be releasing an entire album recorded by my bad self. Tracks with Kenny Anderson of King Creosote, Brian Docherty aka The Doc, Ken McCluskey and Haftor Medboe are already underway with other collaborations planned for my first Roots/folk effort which is already starting to sound like a seriously alternative mix of Gypsy, Reggae, Roots, Folk, Celtic Dance music…I think you'll like it if you're into originality and quality but don't take my word for it. The first release is a double a side single release planned for June 2007, so again…keep checking this site and local press for further info.
BRUNO BELLOUMINI
Following, the vinyl release of the Sao Paulo EP on Belgian imprint Unity Trax, the Dubstep collabo continues. ..:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Belgium's adalternativa radioshow in Gent will be presenting a 1 hour Dubstep special by Sven Unity which I had the pleasure of doing a full mc/voice set over. Gracing tracks from Brazilian beats dupstep to JME's latest, the mainly instrumental dubstep set will hear moi waxing lyrical, political and getting hysterical…so check their site or go to Gent and have a listen. Big up Bruno, Jimmy Luv, Sven and Ipiki.
Podcast for Belgian Radio
I recorded my first ever 30 minute podcast which is really just a streaming radio show, silly chat and all. It included 8 tracks from the years including some old classics and remixes unheard by anyone so stay tunes to that show for the future. It broadcast on Gent's Urgent.fm on the program Gravity Grooves (21-22 GMT+1). Expect further shows soon.
The tracklist was as follows:
1. T. Raumschmiere feat. Mc Soom T "A Million Brothers" Blah Blah Blah / Novamute
2. No Step "Remember to Wake-up" – Hagos and soom t rock it up and wake you up all in wan go.
3. Bus feat. Mc Soom T (Dabrye Remix) "Keep Life Right" Ghostly International
4. Monkeytribe – cover of Hits from the Bong
5. Soom T & Colin Baker "Jesus Christ" – Four Letter Word
6. Tolcha & Soom T "Send them Kids to War" (Jahcoozi remix)
7. No Step "No Step Scool Demo" – good work Hagos.
8. No Step "What about us"(Wickerman Mix) – again nice work Hagos
69DB (Original Spiral Tribe) and Creationforge
2007 shall also see the rise of the old anti capitalist sentiment that provided some form of opposition to the master built mechanical systems of the controlling elite.
I'll be recording some high speed, heavily politicised and not quite as so, take no prisoners dance gems with 69DB aka Sebastian Vaugan (Paris based) to be released exclusively on Creation Forge. Check out www.myspace.com/spiraltribe for a history of the Spiral Tribe and the part they played in causing the Governments introduction of the Criminal Justice Bill. They fought the good fight and they suffered for it. They were arrested for organising large, free raves and as per usual, when the corrupt politicians ran out of plausible arguments, they turned to violence and so a true legend in the history of the UK rave scene was destroyed after throwing the biggest Illegal Raves ever to be held in the UK to date. No mean feat.

Other exclusive tracks can be heard and bought at www.creationforge.com and include vocal dance, techno hop tracks recorded with my oldest friends and crew mates Scott Confusion and Jonjo. Unique and only available on Creation forge tracks with 'Me,you and Yer man and 69DB collaboration s within the Techno, Dance vein will be available here and here only so keep checking the Creation forge site.
Don't miss Me, You and Yer Man Live at the Soundhaus, Hydepark Street on March 24th with Ixindamix and Ed Cox messing with your minds and feet with originality un heard on mainstream radio. Join the revolution.

ST PATRICKS DAY
Back in Glasgow for a short while to finish the various albums. Back on the bevvy, I blame the Irish but what a time. Ashton lane, a drunken soom, a few liabilities for mates and an old English teacher from secondary school turning up to the after party wrecked to whom I mentioned that I was once his pupil for 3 years to which he replied…"now that's what you call a fucking comedown…" It was a surreal night…I mean its not everyday your auld English teacher offers you illegal substances, slags off the chemistry teacher and rants about trying to shag the german teacher. Who needs stand up…real life is good enough…welcome to my world.
I love you all…expect you yah cunt…
Peace luv n good times rollin…(rock and joints)

She was remixed by Dabrye and chosen by Miss Kittin in one of her selections. Between 2001 and 2006, Soom T led the vocals of Monkeytribe. IPIKI OOKAMI
Belgian producer, dancer and MC, named "One Wolf" after his journeys in Japan. His predilection for oriental culture is always present in his manifestations - as well as graffiti, beat boxing and dance. Never bound to a single genre, his attention falls over Rocksteady, Ska, Soul, Electro and underground Hip Hop. Previous projects include Funck ET, Blackbelt Jones, Yutakasa, I Fiaminghi, Proyecto Secreto, Aka Moon, Greetings from Mercury, Part(l)y live, ....
JIMMY LUV
This MC and producer is one of the most innovative artists in the independent brazilian black music scene. His diverse projects, solo and collective, transit between Dub, Reggae and Dancehall. He is one of the main Grime enthusiasts in Brazil.
BRUNO BELLUOMINI
This DJ and producer is pointed as the brazilian Dubstep ambassador and the man behind Tranquera - first party of this genre in his country and South America. His weekly radio show surpasses boundaries and spread the sound all over the world. Kode 9 and Mary Anne Hobbs already played his tracks. His productions can count on the support from diverse places around the globe: from Portugal to Australia, passing through Japan, Poland, Spain, Belgium, USA and the UK.

On August 15th Soom T played her first impromptu, unrehearsed show with the Trans World Orchestra at the Jamhouse in Edinburgh as part of the Fringe festival after a chance meeting. Soom T had only just finished performing her set at the Meadows PRS Stage at the Fringe when she came across the gobsmacking sound of the Trans World Orchestra.
With the success of the spectacular show, Soom T played the final two shows a week later and has now been drafted in to perform vocals for this exciting and unique project. The Trans World Orchestra mainly consists of Si Mullumby (Australia) on the Didgeredoo and if you think you know anything about blowing a didge then think again. Si does with a didge what Van gogh did with a paintbrush. There are also a number of musicians including guitarists, singers and saxophonists who are invited onto the stage to create a different story and vary the amazing set. On drums is the wonderful Mat Ledger (Oz/Ibiza based) who plays dance beats fit for the hardest raves juggling 4 seperate drumsticks and playing percussion while his left foot works the crowd into a frenzy. Mat does with drums what the Prodigy can only do on a laptop. It is best to be seen to be believed and that is no understatement. Soom T will be performing and recording with the TWO in November so keep checking her site and the Trans World Site for information.
BURNSONG
Soom T has been invited to join this years 1 week songwriting project in December where 8 respected songwriters from around scotland are invited to stay in a stunning seashore mansion house and work on a collaborative album of songs. The songs will then form part of a live set to be performed at the end of the week at two beautiful scottish locations to be announced soon. This should be another exciting week for Soom T and the other writers so keep checking the site for details and wait for the finished tracks in January 2007. The location will remain a secret though so dont attempt to find me...moo ha ha ha...
NEXUS LIVE
Soom T has been drafted in to present the Nexus Live internet showstreams every two weeks starting in October alongside current presenter and singer Steve Braxton. Nexus are an internet based television company who record and broadcast live gigs from the cities of Scotlands best venues for the world to gain exclusive access to some of the cities most sought after and new bands. Nexus are also the unsing heroes of Sandi Thom's recent success Look out for the Nexus shows and my cheeky shenanigans with the bands.
GERMAN FILM STAR
The single 'Im in love with a german filmstar' featuring MC Soom T will be released in 2007 with the exact date to be confirmed in your local press so keep your eyes and ears peeled. The track is a cover of a Passions track and part of an ongoing project with Scottish producer, Rufus G Poindexter.
NO STEP PROJECT
This genre defying project is a rock dance no step project produced by Soom t and Hagos. This sees Soom T turn her hand to production and allowing ears to tune into her own productions for the first time. Hagos has been roped in to become a full and equal production partner to make up the 'NO STEP PROJECT.' You can check out some of the tracks on the following websites. No Step will be releasing their first diaminds shortly. Keep your eyes peeled for info in local press and keep checking the sites.
BBC FAME ACADEMY
And finally. Soom T will be heading down to Birmingham on October the 10th to meet this years Fame Academy Bursary finalists and meet up with last years team. It should be a good un, so if you're in Birmingham and want to drop off a cd or have a chat get in touch.
Until we spin some more, thanks, stay cool
n keep it Rockin Raw
