So I got asked at work if I wanted to work the Rolling Stones show on at SBC Park. I said "sure, why not". My position was to be Lounge Hostess, thinking ha, that wont be to hard... I arrived, changed into my black pants/white shirt combo, and proceded to be miserable for 8 hours on my feet. Cause Lounge Hostess for the Rolling Stones really means "Busboy/girl" !! DAMN YOU Rolling Stones. The only saving grace for the whole situation, was I was doing this for the VIP catering section. And by VIP I mean: Ron Wood, Charlie Waitts, Keith Richards, James Hetfield (says grace before eating) Kirk Hammet (kinda balding) Lars Ulrich (short) all the Stones wives, Mike Watt, Maria Menounos, and George Lucas. But 8 hours of picking up plates, not fun.

So that terrible movie that came out "Most Love Dogs" got me thinking.. I think my phrase would be "Must Love Bikes." I know I don't really ride mine as much as a talk about riding it, but my little bike still means a lot to me, and says a lot about me. Every close friend of mine bikes, builds bikes, works at a bike store or rides. I like to take mine out on an great day in SF to ride around town. I like to ride to the park to have a picnic or to go to Zeitgeist or maybe Lucky 13 and not have to worry about public transportation. I miss biking in Boston with Momo to go to Harvard Sq or Allston for thrift shopping. I miss hot summer nights to get ice cream on my bike. But I think the real reason I want to accept the new phrase "Must Love Bikes" is cause I encountered a situation that all the things I love about bike riding came up against a huge "no" and it broke me...... So guess what, from now on "Must Love Bicycles"
