friendly Scottish mechanic Carus, Mathieu, Christophe and Jesse have

JUST ANNOUCED :: END OF YEAR SHOWS
EUROPE - BAND TOUR UK, FRANCE & GERMANY
This November
re-unites his "French Connection" rhythm section plus new Euro-band
member Jessie Beaton (guitars/mandolin) for a BAND tour of the UK,
France and Germany. In the UK he'll return to Edinburgh as well as
London's The 12 Bar , whilst in Paris it'll be a big show at The O.P.A
plus some regional venues.
The German dates are
presented by MUSICHEADQUARTER Magazine and tickets been on sale since
July and selling strong - requiring the Munich show to be moved to a
bigger venue! Please note there are only five German dates: Berlin,
Hamburg, Hameln, Wuppertal & Munich and there will not be any more
added so grab your ticket now.
AUSTRALIA - Perth, Sydney, Adelaide & VIC BAND SHOWS
Its
been a great year for Carus in OZ so we couldn't finish 2009 without
one more round of shows to celebrate. In November he'll play some
acoustic dates in Perth and Sydney, before Decemeber sees him in VIC,
Adelaide & Tassie.
In
Perth he's been invited to perform at The Northbridge Festival on
Sunday 1st November and there's also an "un-advertised" show at Clancys
in Freo for Thursday 5th. For Sydney-siders there's the Brass Monkey in
Cronulla on Friday 6th.
For
Victorians we're very pleased to announce the first band shows that
Carus has played in over a year! In December Carus will team up True
Believers Jason Mcgann & Andrew Fry with new musical accomplices
Greg Arnold & Andrew Darling for some folk-rocking band action in
Drysdale, Melbourne, Torquay and Warrnambool.
The
Melbourne show will be a Huge "End of Year Party" gig at The Corner
Hotel on Wednesday 9th December also featuring ROB SAWYER, LOREN &
NATHAN GAUNT. Carus, Rob & Loren havn't gigged together since
2007's Roots Roadshow tour so this should be a huge night!

UK TOUR ON NOW + PARIS
We’re very pleased to announce Carus’ DOING TIME UK Tour dates. As well as the big London show at The Borderline on Wednesday 9th September (tix from http://www.meanfiddler.com) there are also shows in Turo, Wales, Macclesfield, Plymouth, Bournemouth & Sheffield. A huge, huge thanks to all the Australian fans who came out for the OZ Doing Time Tour. Over 3000 people came out to one of the 29 shows on the tour which went from Darwin all the way down to Tasmania. We’ve announced a couple of shows over the coming months including a Grand Final Eve show in Melbourne presented by none other than DENNIS COMMETTI that sees Carus on a double bill with US artist James McKenna at Manchester Lane. Carus will also play a special solo show (in a church) as part of The Trinity Sessions in Adelaide on Friday 11th November and for Sydney-sider’s he’ll be heading up your way as part of The Brass Monkey’s 10th birthday, performing there on Friday 6th November. CARUS RETURNS TO THE BORDERLINE IN LONDON ON WED 9th SEPT It’s been over two years since he was last there by when Carus first sold out The Borderline in July 2004 it really helped get the ball rolling in the UK. The Borderline is one of London’s most famous venues, with artists such as Jeff Buckley, Radiohead and even Spinal Tap all having graced it’s stage. DOING TIME AUSTRALIAN TOUR ANNOUNCED FOR JUNE, JULY & AUG After the success of The Creature Of Habit Tour Carus is heading back out on the road in OZ through June, July and August, except this time he’s going to as many places as he can – with shows in capitals and regional centres alike. It’s going to be huge, with 25 dates confirmed so far and more to come. Just announced are QLD, NSW, WA & TAS dates, with VIC coming soon. Carus will be accompanied for the tour by Andrew Darling on trumpet and Ben Franz from The Waif’s on double bass, with new single ‘Doing Time” going to Australian radio early June. The QLD leg of the tour will also see Carus joined by good friend LOREN. The two of them have not played together up that way since ’06 so it’ll be a great double bill. The tour's been going great and the album is doing well instores and has had it's first taste of Triple J airplay. "Long Time' got played on Home & Hosed on Tuesday night and "Burn" was played by Sarah Howells on Roots'n'All on Thursday. Lets hope this leads to more plays on the national broadcaster. This last weekend of shows are shaping up to be great so if you're in Geelong, Melbourne or Sydney head on down.
