Thanksgiving was ALWAYS the day that Santa came to town.  He would bring up the rear of the Thanksgiving day parade.  We would watch that thing through to the end JUST to see good ole Saint Nick!!  And tomorrow is the day he is coming to town babeeeees, mark your calenders!

SooOOOooo I've been making my Christmas list.  I'm going to have a little chat with Santa and let him know what I would like this year:)  On the list will be material, spiritual and job related things/items.  I'm going back to the basics this year, much like I handled my birthday:)  Taking it back to the old school Joy and Glee of the season.  This includes possible handmade items for people.  Oh, Oh,  do you remember going to Santa's Workshop in School and buying gifts for your family!?  That was so much fun.  When I go shopping this year it will be to Santa's Workshop.  I hope the schools don't kick me out haha.  NooOOOo I won't REALLY invade schools, that will just be what i'll call my shopping. 

Tomorrow we will be heading over to my husband's aunts home.  I'm bringing blueberry pie and ham.  This is NOT what was on my comfort food list was it haha.  Well there IS a story behind me bringing the fancy smancy ham and the new fangled blueberry pie.  1- Ian's grandmother wants ham and she is 81 years old and last year was VERY ill and the fact that she will be there and alert means this woman is getting ham!  2-Little known fact, I make a kick ass blueberry crumble.  And would you believe the day before Thanksgiving there was nadda blueberry pie filling???  Yes tis true.  So it's Sarah Lee to the rescue!

I have so many things to be thankful in my life.  Family, Friends, Furfaces and personal faith being at the top of my list:)  Mwahhhh  Happy Thanksgiving everyone.  Remember to watch for Santa tomorrow!

I had a great birthday!  I usually taint my birthdays with my dread of getting older (I do not hide the fact that I don't enjoy it... "It" being getting older).  But this year I put all that aside and allowed my birthday to be celebrated.  I went back to the old (which was the younger) Amy and I allowed myself to feel the Birthday JOY.  It's how I think everyone should feel about their birthday.  Because after all it IS a day all about you and the day you decided to come into this world!!  In college I dubbed my birthday Amyween (as previously mentioned in past blogs) and Amyween is celebrated from the Day of the Dead (Nov 1) until Amyween which lands on Nov 6.  And usually the day after lol.

So this year gifts came in throughout the week.  My mom painted me a bowel that was a candy bowel that had ghosties and pumpkins in it and it said Trick or Treat.  When at her house this summer I was flipping through a magazine and said "oh you should paint this".  She remembered and voila an Amyween bowel for me! Along with that was a card for Walmart to fill it with candy.  One of my besties sent me an awesome mini Ouija Board on a chain (necklace).  I was delighted and so happy to see it.  I was also given a gnome and some drinks, a lunch box full of handmade cards (this was completely awesome), I was bought a birthday/TV outfit (see balloon picture), given $50 visa card, awesome salamander earrings, birdhouse, A totally gory movie with a bunch of classic horror films and what did Ian get me you ask?  Well I had a choice...  Massage or Car Detail.  I know everyone is screaming massage but I went for the car detail.  I LOVE my car and when it is clean and the leather is fed, it's like a rocket and dream to ride in!  So it will be detailed in 2 weeks, YAY!  He also threw me a birthday party at one of my favorite restaurants, complete with balloons and birthday cake which = birthday wishes!  Thank you to everyone who celebrated the day with me either by sending birthday wishes, cards, gifties, hugs, etc...! Was it an awesome birthday... Oh yeah!

Friday, on my actual birthday (the party happened the day after) we went out to dinner at a Mongolian BBQ.  I always fret and think which fortune cookie should I go for...  I want to get the best fortune after all.  So I went through that process and when Ian opened his... It was the same fortune!!!  The fortune was "you will overcome an obstacle to obtain success".  My comment to this was, "why does there have to be an obstacle"? lol glass half full thinking at it's best aye?  After the birthday we went to blockbuster and rented "Drag me to Hell".  Not a bad movie, not a great movie.  I'd give it 3 stars out of 5.  It had  intense creepy moments, Gypsy's can be creepy after all.  It was visually pleasing, as odd as that sounds when one describes a horror movie.

I want to close this with a big congratulations to Jo Lynne Valerie!  Her book trailer won a contest!  Her book is amazing, her book trailer is awesome and Jo Lynne just plain rocks!  Congrats, you deserve this and many more!

Wrapping up a wonderful Birthday!

Where did September and October go?  It just seemed to fly by, not like a butterfly but like a phoenix rising from the ashes and bursting into flames!  So beautiful:)

Dial M for Murder was a huge success.  It was more then I could have imagined.  I'm in total amazement that my vision was created on stage.  Dial M for Murder has been done thousands upon thousands of times, but it will never be done again the way I did it.  And that gives me much satisfaction.  And what a responsibility it was.  But it was a beautiful one.  We laughed, We stressed, We cried (not me but others in the cast), We hugged.  I mean it was better then Cats, I'd go see it again and again.  And actually I did see it over and over again (minus one night when I had a television opportunity out east/NY).  Check out the photos in my photo album!  OH, and next year, I bring you Dracula!!

A Victorian Haunting Experience was so much fun this year.  I dressed up as a Vampire Queen.  The highlight of the two nights for me were the Tea Leaf Readings.  I'd done this while in college but that was awhile ago.  I would never call myself a psychic, however, I can read oracles and signs.  And I am very good at reading signs and symbols (such as animal totems, colors, dreams etc...)  Everyone seemed to enjoy this portion of the night and I was quite pleased myself.  I want to thank everyone who came to the event, supported the event and sponsored the event.  I am looking forward to the Third Annual A Victorian Haunting Experience!  Also keep an eye out for me doing a spin off of this event (ie news coming soon).  And check out the pictures in my photos!

I'm directing my first theatre production "Dial 'M' for Murder"...  Last night I sat in the audience and as the glow of the set filled my senses I felt an odd feeling.  And I thought it was very strange to see my creative vision on the big stage.  The set is amazing.  It has a warm glow to it and yet it is sinister at the same time.  There is a really amazing chandelier that hangs in the middle of the set and it makes all the difference. 

My first time being on the Sauk stage the set was amazing.  I think that set the bar for me.   I am told there has not been a set at the Sauk Theatre since that set that compares to it... And in fact, the set that I first saw was created by a person who was building the set for credit for a class.  I'm very proud of my set.  It was built completely by volunteers and it overwhelms me to think that people "helped" just for the love of Theatre (pictures soon to follow).

As I mentioned above, I have a strange sensation.  I feel so adult right now.  Everything feels different somehow.  I believe I went through a shift in September.  September was a very difficult time for me.  And as I emerge on the other side I can see that I shifted somehow.  It's almost like I have to get comfortable in my new skin.  And allow the "Glo" to settle in;)

I'm sleeping well at night, I will say that much.  And I am having very vivid dreams.  Dreams so real that I think they may be real.  I had another dream that felt very psychic in nature last week.  It was during a 10 minute period (I hit snooze on the alarm).  It was actually about a psychic and an odd spiritual encounter.  I contacted the psychic and told him about it.  I wonder if it is connected to the odd dream I had a few weeks prior (regarding a missing little girl).

Also the veil is getting very thin, this I can tell.  I am hearing whispering...  Voices are coming from another room with nobody there (and the tv/radio off).  I do love this time of year.  I am also being sent signs.  Last night I was in a store and a bee flew by me.  I thought that is a bit odd...  But not much more.  Then as I left the store a bee shot right by me (and it was raining outside mind you).  Bee has been speaking to me all summer/fall it would seem:

10-11-09, from 4 to 5 pm pacific time (7pm ET) I will be on UFO's & The Paranormal Radio w/Preston Dennett...  On the BBC Radio!

I don't feel well.  I am a bit feverish, it hurts behind my eyes, my sinuses are stuffy, my throat hurts and my tummy is upset.  I don't deal well with these symptoms.  Seems I can handle a migraine better then the flu.  The flu just hurts and all over.  And I find I can never just push through the flu.  It brings me down for a bit.  And the energy it brings is one of restlessness for me. 

Everyone around me is saying this and I'm gonna say this again as well, I can't wait for Mercury Retro to go away.  It's been a down right painful MR.  Although we did have some interesting Mercury Retro irony this time around.  Our water softener broke (and the warranty had just ran out a month earlier of course).  We had the repair man come out and he turned out to be a friend of my husbands.  We ended up getting a free water softener AND 2 bags of salt.  Wow I thought.  Then we made some major purchases (I know I wasn't thinking) and one of them was a massage roller chair for my back.  And on the way home, when it dawned on me, I thought "oh no".  A week later the puppy (who really is 1 year old now) chewed the cord. I was shocked.  But not angry.  I don't really get angry about these things for some reason.  My husband contacted the company to find out how we could get it fixed.  They replied that they would replace it for free as long as we send a picture of the offender for them to in the "repeat offender" file.  I thought that was HILarious!  Oliver is an offender alright. Homedics is the company btw. 

I've been hitting the radio circut.  I've been on Strange but True Radio, Nightwatch Radio, and Wings of Love Radio.  I missed Ghost Chatter Radio unfortunatly.  Tonight I will be on Sepia Radio.  Beverly will be on Nightstalkers Radio on October 15th and she and Shannon will also be on Past Lives, Present Lessons Radio on October 14th.  Beverly will be on the Rock N Roll Psychic show on October 5th and I will be on the same show on October 7th.  I will also be on UFOs & The Paranormal (on the bbs) TBA.  So wow aye?
