Ok I've narrowed down my choices... I've decided against Niagara Falls because of the horrible decline of the market over the last 20 years and the city is falling apart. I've also decided against living in a high rise condo in Chicago because I need a place where my cat can run around.
strangelet opened my eyes to Rochester, NY and I was extremely impressed with the research I did in that area - the people, the market value, the population, growth, etc. Very, very nice! I also like Bloomington, IN very much!
These are my top choices:
1) Chicago, IL 2BR/2BA 2-story historical-type condo, but doesn't look/feel like a condo. Is a converted mansion with cool architecture and looks unbelievable! Spiral staircase, whirlpool tub, wall nooks and turreted den with skyline view. My cat can run outside if he wants, very nice place with 20 foot ceilings. Comes with free parking spot. Low taxes, low assessment. Looks almost like a castle-type mansion from the outside.
2) Penfield, NY 2 story tudor house with 4BR/2.5 baths, 2 car garage, over 2600+ SF, 1.58 acres land, giant kitchen, gooooorgeous pool, huge yard with landscaping and walkway, fireplace, and whirlpool tub. Very dramatic looking house, everything I could possibly want in a home.
3) Rochester, NY 2 story colonial home with 4 BR, 3 BA, 3100 SF, 0.4 acres, unbelievable architecture, very open spaces with great windows and lighting, cool fireplaces (one of them is in an island), giant kitchen, gorgeous french doors with windows looking into woods and deck, 2 car garage. Looks like "the perfect dream home" from the outside.
4) Bloomington, IN Or I'll pick a gorgeous house in Bloomington, IN - everything there is spectacular!
All of them are in similar price ranges. All of them are amazing.
After writing that, I realized what a pain that will be. So I bought a first class ticket to Chicago and reserved a rental care. I'll be gone from Tuesday August 22nd - Saturday night August 26th.
I will bring my cell phone with me and if I happen to be in any hotels with good cell reception, I'll gladly log in for calls. It's so nice to have people to talk to when I'm all lonely in a hotel room.
I will also do my best to finish my latest erotic hypnosis recording before I leave so that you all will have something to listen to before I go.
Thanks everyone for being patient with me!
Love

P.S. I might even check out Bloomington, Indiana while I'm up there since that's where the Kinsey Institute is located. Nothing would be more awesome than being able to going to graduate school there (it's the best #1 sex research institute in the world). And I think Indiana University is the bomb -- and I looooove the diversity in Bloomington. Anyway - my options are open.
