Hey!

We're excited to let everyone know that City Riots will be showcasing at South by Southwest between March 17th and 21st of 2010 in Austin, TX.  This is a massive music conference and festival that takes over the city, and we're proud to be a part of it.

You can read an article highlighting the list of bands HERE.  Some excellent other Aussie bands on this list as well, which is awesome to see.

This means tour dates to be announced, so keep checking in.

hey hey!
its Rick here. I'm currently in New York after picking up the final versions of the mixes from the studio in Chicago. I thought Chicago was cold. New York is FREEZING!!!! I'm wearing every single item of clothing i have with me. I took a trip to walmart last night and bought a thermal sleeping bag. its the bomb!! apparently can keep me warm in below zero temperatures. hell yeah!!! I've just received the files for the first mastered version of the new album which i'm a little excited about. Its been over 5 months since we first arrived in Chicago and starting working on the album, so its now very exciting to be hearing the close to finished versions of the songs. Stay tuned for news about our first shows in Australia since recording the album.

Hey guys,

I’m currently back in Chicago with the final mixes of the album. It’s a hell of a lot colder then when I was here in August. The album will be getting mastered later today down in Nashville before I head over to New York on the weekend. We haven’t decided on a name for the album as yet, but if all goes to plan we should have information about an exclusive first track out for you guys before the end of the year.

I gotta run, but I’ll be in touch very soon...

Hey,

We've finished our 3 1/2 months in a Chicago studio with producer Bjorn Thorsrud.  I think all of us will agree that we could write volumes about what this time in the studio provided us from a musical, and non-musical perspective.  We met some truly one-of-a-kind musicians and people while we were there.

Currently, the album is in the mixing stage, and the mixes we've heard sound unreal.  To say we're excited about having the album done and in our hands is an understatement, but you'll have to wait a little while before we let you hear it!

What we can tell you: there are 10 songs, most of which have never been heard before in any form (except by those that were at the Chicago and NYC shows we played a few weeks ago).

Chicago and New York shows announced

Hi all,

Two US shows have been announced before we head home after spending three months recording our debut album in Chicago. We'll be playing Double Door on August 1st in Wicker Park, Chicago (on stage at 1:00am) followed by a New York show on August 12th at Piano's in Lower East Side (on stage at 8:00pm).
