Recording round-up
Long time no see!
So what have we been up to, eh? Well we've been writing new songs, we have 7 songs spanning over some 12 (mighty?) minutes and we feel it's about time we recorded something new so that's what happening right now.
As usual we will record it ourselves and we started today by setting up micrpohones and recording gear.
Tomorrow (friday) we will test drum and guitar sound and possibly start to record some.
More to come.
Grind!

Day 2.
Everybody went straight from work to the practice room for the last preparations for the recording.
Since the place closes at 22:00 we were kind of stressed to get everything working but I think we managed somehow. After finally realizing that the two condencer microphones I was going to use for overhead micing were busted things started moving. Drumsound and guitar sound came along ok and is now set. We recorded one song and it sounds very raw.

Day 3.
Just when we thought we were set to go we realized that the busted microphones/shitty gear drama wasn't over. The clipping and digital distortion seem to never end.
Two more hours spent on troubleshooting and finally we got to do the first take, yay!
Things came along pretty good once we got started and by 19:00 we had laid the drumtracks for all of the songs and guitar on three and half songs.
The rest of the guitars and hopefully bass aswell to be recorded day 4.

Day 4.
Finally a good days work.
The plan was to have at least all guitars recorded by the end of today and it was. Jon laid down all the guitar tracks, 4 on each song, on all 7 songs today, well done Jon!!!!
Unfortunately we didn't have the time to record the bass wich we hoped but we'll do that tomorrow.
The guitar sound this time is something really spectacular (by our standards anyway), unless I fuck up in the process of mixing it that is. Hopefully that won't happen but hey, fuck if I know what I'm doing...
Anyways, the first guitar was played through Dr Wallin's Crate 120 Blue Voodoo, using the amps gain channel and it was really sweet. It kind of choked in the bass frequences at first but I think we got it under control in the end.
The second guitar was done with a modified Sound City 120 and the classic HM-2.
Dirty, heavy and fast seem to be the way this recording is going. Exciting!
Sound samples will be uploaded as soon as the bass has been recorded, wich is hopefully by tomorrow night.

Day 5.
Bass tracks on all songs were recorded today, yay!
The bass sounds like a tractor if you ask me, awesome!!! lol
As requested from our fans in Villa Hills, KY I recorded a spacebass part this time aswell, check out the video below for a soundsample. And for the rest of you; don't worry! There are plenty of blastbeats on the rest of the recording. "Så det räcker och blir över" as we say in swedish.
Only vocals left to do now but that might take a while since we don't have any lyrics yet.

Post-recording update.
So, after a VERY busy fall (with other recording sessions and some shows interrupting) we'll see if we can get
ourselves and this recording back on track. As of right now we haven't really decided what to do with this recording since we haven't really listened to the songs that thoroughly. Hopefully we'll get the time to do that during or right after the holidays. More info on this to come very soon.
